No o... I just got info that senate are sitting right now to determine the criteria they would use to slash...... Someone said spillover then random, am not too sure though
I also confirmed that Senate met today concerning this NYSC issue. If it's going to be random, I advise we start making necessary calls, pray to God, and hope for the best.

I'm just not happy at all.

I don't know anyone at Student Affairs, but I know someone who knows someone there. I just hope monday will not be too late.

In my department's group chat, someone said 30% from each department will be mobilised. Method of selection is still unknown ; that is especially why it is worrisome.

It's terrible what they're making graduates go through. If I who only wrote final exams a few months ago is this frustrated, I wonder how those who graduated years ago feel.

KWARA STATE
Your analysis is on point!

Lol at Broad way girls and their chikini money.

Spending 19800 in Kwara state shouldn't be that bad. Food stuff like she said is relatively cheap. I bought three tubers of yam for #200 last month (although they were small o). There's still #20 tomato and pepper, pomo #100, efo #20, eja shawa #80-130 cheesy.

As for electricity, don't stay anywhere around Tanke (student area). Kwara state is very very peaceful. Well, for those of us who are used to Lagos madness.

I'm looking forward to more updates, my choices are still subject to change. After all, we still have some time before 17th.

that's cool then... the reason why I asked is Cos d standard of living in Abj could be a threat to one's well being when u relate it with 19800... lol.

I wish u luck..
I understand. Another reason I chose Abuja is because Abuja and Kwara are the two North Central states I'm comfortable with, and I schooled in Ilorin, that rules Kwara state out.

It is well, I wish you luck too.

oyo state is okay..

Abuja? do u know pple in Abj? do u have a target(a good ppa that has possibility of retaining u after service or that Pay well during service?)
I have friend in Abuja. And yes, he can help me with placement. I don't know about retention, but I know there are factors that could boost one's chances of being retained. My friend is serving with SON, I guess they pay him. I'll ask.

I am not a fan of long essay.. I will just say the things I feel PCMS need to know.

OYO state is a very cool place to serve...

*STANDARD OF LIVING*

D standard of living in oyo state is on d average.. things like accommodation, prices of food and transportation are cheap and affordable.

STATE ALLAWEE.

OYO state government pays Corp members #3800.. I actually thought the state stopped paying Cos of d recent recession but I have been corrected by d current Corp members that d state still pays..

PPA

majority of Corp members posted To oyo state serve as teachers(apart frm doctors and lawyers). this is because there are limited private companies and firms in d state when compared with Lagos or Ogun.

this doesn't mean every OYO kopa serves in schools, there are exceptional cases.. but most, serve as teachers.

SECURITY AND TREATMENT OF CORPERS

Oyo state, like most southwestern states is a safe place for corpers.

d people of oyo state appreciate corpers and treat them well ND specially..

SOCIAL LIFE

if u get posted to the state capital(Ibadan), oyo state is socially okay.. and unlike Lagos state, u do not spend much.

OYO BABES

no disrespect to d ladies, like most things in d state, oyo babes are not too expensive too.. so, ma guys.. una fit enjoy Dem without spending all ur ALLAWEE. grin

************
Very useful information you put up there, for those of us who want Oyo.

The form is on sale already and it costs N21,000. Most of the courses available are science-based, the Art related courses available are Fine and Applied Arts, French, Music and Urhobo. Your friend can apply for any other course via UTME..

Sales of forms should come to a halt on the 25th of January, 2016.
Wow, nice!

I'll talk to him about it.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate.

Conventionally, Diploma programmes span for two years.. If/when he graduates, he's gona obtain D.E form the following year and sit for Post-DE exam in order to be offered admission. The probability of him gaining admission through D.E is very low cos DELSU traditionally admits 10 Direct entry students into each department coupled with the fact that there'll be a myriad of candidates who'z gona score way above the cut-off.

If the person in question does not pass all the courses he's gona offer within the stipulated period of time (2 years), he will come back for an extension of at least a year till he passes all his courses..

The above reasons and more should discourage him to opt for Diploma..

Pre-degree on the other hand spans for 8 months. PD students stand a better chance of gaining admission due to the fact that they'll be given two baskets to house their eggs (Pre-Degree and UTME). If one doesn't work out, the other should, except of course his education is not one of his top priorities.

I reckon you know more about Pre-Degree/Pre-Science programme..
Very well put. Couldn't have been better explained. Thanks a lot, I appreciate. I think I see reasons.
The predegree programme, does it cater for art-related courses, is the form on sale already, how much is it?

Too many questions, pardon me.
Education / Re: Delta State University, Abraka 2015/2016 Admissions by LBlessing(f): 5:37pm On Oct 13, 2015

I wouldn't advice anyone to opt for Diploma programme.. He/She should consider Pre-Degree instead..
Oh really?
Alright, I'm sure you have very good reasons for saying that, I'll love to know those reasons.

More enlightenment please... Thanks!

N15,000.. November/December

Ur PP: dah tag looks like Unilorin's.. Are you a Unilorite?
Yes o, I am.

I find this surprising o, someone told me the form is 17k, and that it's likely to close this month. The person I'm getting this info for has been freaking out ever since.

If it's not too much work, could you please enlighten me. I'll like to know how much they pay as school fees, and if there'll be any petty payment here or there.

Thanks.
