God blesses all His children, but while the uncommitted receive a trickle of such blessings, the committed are embarrassed with blessings. Those who are committed to God are His favourites. Cod can do anything for them, in fact, today's reading says apart from being God's jewels, God will specially protect them and use them to make a statement to the world. If you are committed to the Lord now and it seems you are not getting anything from it, do not be discouraged because sooner rather than later, the difference between you and other believers who are not committed will be very obvious.
Moreover, the committed have one place where God has made reservations for them - at the top. If you are committed to God in divine assignments, you will stand before kings (Proverbs 22:29). If you look at the story of Phinehas recorded in Numbers 25:6-13 , you will discover that commitment can earn you divine favour and positively pave way for your future generations. If you are worried about the future of your children, sow to God in commitment throughout your lifetime, and you can be assured that when you are gone, God will continue with .........................................................................................................................

God loves dedicated people. To be dedicated is to continue to give time to a particular assignment until it is completed. The dedicated works for as long as it takes, and continues to work even when others are tired or retired. When others have eaten and left the plates after a programme, it is the dedicated ones that wash the dishes. When others are falling by the wayside, the dedicated ones are still standing. Are you dedicated?
According to 1 Thessalonians 5:17, the dedicated ones find time and reason to pray. While some people pray and stop at a point with the excuse that they do not know what to pray for, the dedicated ones continue to see prayer needs of members, the church leaders, families, neighbours, colleagues at work or school, the community, state, nation, etc.
Today, the only time some workers or ministers remember to serve God is only on Sundays. The dedicated ones are not 'Sunday-Sunday’ church goers or church workers but they serve Cod on week days in church and outside church. Their lives are devoted to serving the living God. The Holy Spirit just like the wind can move gently or massively. If you can cooperate with Him, He can do incredible things through you. This is why Ephesians 3:20 says:
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."
Whenever you ask God to do something for you or through you, He will look inside you to know how much of His Spirit you carry. He may not do beyond what the measure of His Spirit within you can accommodate. So, if you are praying for a mighty move of God but you have a little measure of His Spirit in your life, you are praying amiss. If you want God to answer your prayer, first work on yourself by getting more and more of His presence, power and grace through spending more time with the Holy Spirit; developing a better personal relationship with Him; praising, thanking and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth; feasting daily on His Word; living holy and living in total obedience to His voice, etc.
Today's memory verse points us to the fact that it is our personal responsibility to build up ourselves. It is your duty to build up your spirit man. To do this, you must .........................................................................................................................

Action Point: Dress to be addressed as the virgin bride of Christ

You are addressed by the dressing you put on. If you are dressed up with earthly clothes, you can only influence the earth. It takes putting on Jesus to influence Heaven and earth. What kind of clothes are you putting on? Revelation 19:5-8 describes the special dress the bride of Jesus will wear on the last day. It is going to be awhile, clean and beautiful linen dress.

From the above scripture, we see that there is a link between one's state of righteousness and the dress one is wearing. In Heaven and in eternity, your dressing will speak of your righteousness. In those days, Christians were known not necessarily by their verbal confessions and claims, but by their dressing and modest adornment. Today, you can take some ministers for street urchins and take some minister's wives for women of easy virtues. Sister, if you attract rapists to yourself by your indecent dressing, don't blame God. Do not dress in ways that will attract such to you

The name of the Lord is an extremely powerful weapon that is open to all soldiers of the Cross. How often do you use it? The whole armour we are advised to put on in Ephesians 6:13-17 can be summarised as Jesus. The belt of truth is Jesus because John 14:6 says Jesus is the Truth. The breastplate of righteousness has its link in the Sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2 ; 1 Corinthians 1:30). The boots we are to wear are the boots of peace and Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Our shield of faith links up with Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Our helmet is salvation and Jesus is the Saviour (Matthew 1:21). Our sword is the word of God and the Lord Jesus is the word made flesh (John 1:14). So you see that all parts of our armour are linked with Jesus. No wonder we are commanded to put on Jesus in Romans 13:14:
"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."
To be able to put on Jesus completely, you must first UnCloth. Colossians 3:8 says,
"But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth."

Once in a while, God changes His mind. If a sinner who was heading for hell truly repents of his sins and turns to God, He will change His mind. If the righteous that God had purposed to bless returns to his vomit and stays in sin, God will change His mind. It is good to know what God has said about something but better to know what God is saying right now about the same issue because, it is possible circumstances might have changed, and God too might have had a change of heart. It is only in few occasions that an individual touches God's heart in a very significant way that He vows unchangeably or even swears concerning that individual: in such situation, even the instability or weakness of the individual may not make God change His heart concerning him. In the name of Jesus, may the good plans God has for you and the good prophecies that have been spoken into your destiny remain unchanged. May you never provoke God to change His good intentions concerning you.
