Memorise: Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Proverbs 6:27
Read: Proverbs 6:27-29
Bible in one year: Matthew 8-11
Action Point: The best time to run away from temptation is when it is just unfolding

Beside signs and wonders, we need wisdom because Proverbs 4:7 says it is the principal thing. Ecclesiastes 9:16 says wisdom is better than strength. If you doubt this, ask Samson. He performed signs and wonders but lacked wisdom and he could not finish strong. That you have strength does not guarantee you a good finishing. Many people who have strength have become victims of their strength for lack of wisdom. Psalm 111:10 says the fear of God is the starting point of wisdom. Proverbs 16:6 says,
"By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil."
It is wisdom to fear God; it is wisdom to flee from sin. It is wisdom to avoid what can easily make you to compromise your faith. It is wisdom to visit your betroth in company of someone else. It is wisdom not to sleep in the same apartment or worse still on the same bed before marriage. There are some brethren who were seen to be strong spiritually. They too believed they were strong so they ignored wisdom tips and at the end ....................................................................................................

Christianity EtcHonour God With Your Substance - Pastor Adeboye by leffects(op): 3:19am On Jun 02, 2013
Memorise: Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Proverbs 3:9
Read: Proverbs 3:9-11
Key Point: Thank Cod for souls won last year on this Global Evangelism Day. Go and win at least one soul and pray that the Global Evangelism Day programme will record a great success

Bible in one year:
Matthew 5-7
After toiling all night without catching a single fish, Peter had an encounter with Jesus after which He instructed him to make another attempt. Peter gave all the reasons that made it unreasonable to obey that command but he obeyed because the instruction came from Jesus (Luke 5:2-5). This is another indicator of the committed: the committed obeys Jesus unquestionably. The reason many find it difficult to obey the Lord promptly is because they harbour unbelief somewhere in their heart. If you believe in the Lord and you have known Him to a point, you would know that every instruction, suggestion, command, dictate or advice that comes from Him should be treated the same way as a commandment that must be obeyed speedily. It you take pride in asking why you should do whatever He tells you, it is because you lack commitment. Mary the mother of Jesus had learnt this hence she could tell the servants at the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee not to question whatever instructions the Lord gave them (John 2:5). Obeying Jesus without questioning is a height of faith and commitment which is hinged on the truth that the Lord can never lead you astray.
Besides this, you can tell a fellow who is committed by what he or she does with his or her possessions. If you are committed to the Lord, you will know that all you have, including your life now belongs to God. So if the Lord asks for anything that is yours, you will happily release it to Him. The committed believer honours God with everything he or she has (Proverbs 3:9). The committed pays tithe and offering in obedience to Malachi 3:8-12. He brings the tithe and offering joyfully to God, seeing it as a great privilege to do so. If you are still struggling to pay your tithes, it simply shows that your commitment to the Lord is questionable. Having considered so many areas of commitment, can you truly say now that you are committed?

Memorise: Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7
Read: Exodus 20:4-6
Bible in one year Matthew 1-4
Key point: Back up your request for mercy with works of mercy or else it may elude you.
God is sovereign. Being the highest of all, He cannot be queried over what He does. He went into the midst of a crowd of sick people, healed one man and left (John 5:2-9). What made Him pick this particular man? Sheer mercy! The man did not pray, nor did he even know the Person of Jesus. After his healing, when people asked him why he was carrying his bed on that Sabbath day, he said the one who healed him asked him to carry his bed. What was his name? At that time he did not know. He did not do anything to qualify him for that healing but God's mercy singled him out. In Mark 1:40-42, when a leper met the Lord, he told the Lord he was sure He could heal him, but what he did not know was whether the Lord was willing to, the Lord was ...............................................................................................

Memorise: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15
Read: Acts 9:1-6
Bible in one year: Colossians 3-4
Prayer point: Father, grant me the full benefits of being the apple of Your eyes.
If you are the apple of God's eyes, you will be required to channel God's love to those who are hurting. According to 1 John 4:7-8, this includes fellow believers; else you cannot claim to even know God. That is part of your responsibility it is an obligation. Being the apple of God's eyes does not start and end with obligations, there are benefits, rights and privileges that accrue from this relationship with God. If somebody is playing with you, the fellow can hit almost any part of your body, but not your eyes. Anyone who touches your eyes is out to provoke you. If you are the apple of God's eyes, whoever touches you, touches God, and is playing with the Consuming Fire.
"In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old." Isaiah 63:9
This verse tells us that the Lord suffers whenever the apple of His eyes is suffering. He does not just show sympathy but He empathises! A man and his eyes are one. If you hurt the eye of an individual, he will feel it throughout his whole body. If you feel that something is getting towards your eyes, what will you do? Memorise: But ye put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Romans 13:14
Read: Genesis 3:20-21
Bible in one Year: Colossians 1-2
Key point: You cannot wear Jesus Christ and not be treated like Him. This is the only true way to stay in dominion.
If you are God's representative or champion, He is very much interested in your dressing. You must be clean and you must not ridicule the Name of Jesus whom you represent. No dress that exposes your unclothedness is allowed. If you are fuelling lust in the hearts of the opposite sex by virtue of your dressing, then you are representing something else other than the Lord. Before you put on any dress, you must ask yourself: Will this dress please the Lord? Does it cover my unclothedness? Would Jesus put on this same dress while He was on earth? Will people who see me wearing this dress glorify God or Satan? Do I have inner peace wearing what I am wearing?
For want of means to afford something better, some people are dressed in rags. If you cannot afford good clothes, the Lord will open doors for you ........................................................................................

Memorise: Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: 2 Corinthians 6:3
Read: Genesis 13:14-18
Bible in one year: Ezekiel 46-48
Key point: If you harbour a pending restitution, your progress will be impeded
Besides restituting in the areas of robbing people, lying concerning certain issues, etc., we need to also restitute in our dealings with God. This relates to instructions He has given to us. For instance, in Genesis 12:1-3, God made some powerful promises to Abraham subject to only three conditions. He fulfilled two of the conditions and felt the third one was unnecessary. In fact, he thought people will call him names for sending away his late brother's son from living with him. By so doing, he mixed his petrol (gas) with water and everything began to go wrong. One day, as the problem became exacerbated and was now affecting peace in his home, he realised what he did and asked Lot to separate from him.

In Genesis 13:14-18, after ..............................................................................................

Memorise: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
Read: Matthew 4:2-4
Bible in one year: Ezekiel 43-45
Key point: What God said in the past is important but what He is saying now is more important and urgent.
It is a great thing to benefit from God’s favour because | His favour completely wipes out emptiness. The I favour of God is also dangerous. Why you may ask? It's because the favour of God can convert the goods of enemies and oppressors into spoils for the favoured. In Exodus 3:22, God said,
"But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians"
Considering this scripture, one will discover that, it is dangerous to rob, steal from, deny or cheat a believer. You may be permitted to do so for a long while but on the day the favour of God falls on that individual, you may have to forfeit both what you took or stole as well what rightfully belongs to you. Your belongings might supernaturally move into his or her hands and you will be unable to prevent this trend of loss. Therefore if you have..................................................................................................................
