End result of nepotism in employment process. I remember applying for an AML role with Kuda and I got rejected. I wonder how ? This is someone who had practical experience in the field with a Canadian bank. They pack incompetent mediocres into the system those who only flaunts paper certificates and expect no breach of their system from the people of the underworld . |
Wow! It has come to this level. ? Look, don’t let anyone make you feel you’re not trying. A lot who you think are doing well more than you are fraudsters. Imagine, if you see this one in public you will say he’s a clean guy not knowing he’s as empty as a calabash. All his life responsibilities are sponsored with fraud. |
MT:I knew this might have been the case. People with straightforward character often act like Funke. She was hurt by Toyin’s action as suggested from Iyabo Ojo story, what hurts her the most is because Funke knows she can never bring herself to act the way Toyin had acted, not even when she’s in her most ugly state of mind. A deal is a deal. We are talking business reputation here. Most times , people misjudge the ones with a good heart and paint them black because they react to hurt caused to them by others. We deal with them more for being humane. Toyin clearly an hypocrite and I know her type very well. If I was Funke , I will cut her off from me completely. I have exact personality of Funke Akindele. The moment that news came up , I knew exactly this would be the case. Trust me, Funke Akindele that you see would be a very good person if people move close to her and stop being subjective of her public reaction towards Toyin. |
You people always have a certain way you want others to behave, forgetting we are not the same. Most straightforward and open minded human ironically acts the way Funke acted. But you see the Toyin Abrahams kinds are the reasons the world will never be a better place. Why because 1. They are aware how much hurt they caused their victim 2. They are so crafty in acting and representing a good human even when they are the one killing the other person. Toyin acted that way because he wanted to painting Funke in a bad light knowing fully well that our society is greedy and they only see and judge based on what they see not looking internally to understand what genuine roles people play in a situation like this. I support Funke Akindele because I’m exactly like her. Whoever is my enemy I don’t hesitate to let them know ; no need to hide and that’s all. I don’t keep malice. And I live very fine. I don’t think it’s healthy to condone bad behaviours by living around people we don’t find ourselves comfortable around. If have attempted to resolve an issue with you and you fought angrily and left without putting diplomacy into consideration, if you come publicly to show you’re my friend, I will simply ignore you. I may still greet you but it will be obvious that I am not comfortable talking to you. Whether I greet you or not , people will still know we are not cool. And I feel that’s a better way of living. |
I saw this on jumia and it has what I want but I will like people who have been using it or used it before to tell me the reality about this blender.
|
Just as the topic suggests. I’m looking for recommendation for affordable best brand of industrial blender. I plan to use for blending dates, ground nuts , coconut and others hard fruits. Please recommend based on durability and affordability. Budget is 30k. |
In a country that still suffers from poor epileptic electricity? You can’t place something on nothing and expect it to stay. |
Don’t be surprised some of those who were part of the atrocities have commented on this thread… |
I’m yet to understand whether Lake Chad has not leadership or they are all terrorist filled nation. Seems most Bokoharam and ISWAP attack emanate from there. And what’s the leadership of Nigerian doing to stop this from the source ? What did Nigeria politicians collect from them that have not been paid back? |
This is a very serious matter. A growing mindset thinks of building his own to international standard to attract foreigners and investors, but a small mind thinks otherwise. But we now have AI; he could have used that at least if he doesn’t have a brain to think. |
mablie:It is : If I say O, you say P another man say C Omo na you sabi… |
KosiGee:True most likely, he’s a Christian. But what baffles me is this: don’t they have policemen around that could stop them from hitting the innocent man? They were even stoning him. Watching that video alone is traumatic for me. These are the type situations that happen that make one ask if there’s truly God. |
Hmmm! I can imagine the pain. Thank God for your life. Lagos is filled with so many criminals. I ensure I don’t get pushed for any reason to the extent of not having the time to do my due diligence. And for private cars in Lagos, I see this happening a lot ladies when returning home from work jump in private cars as if they know the driver. Perhaps what gives them the confidence is because it’s afternoon thinking nobody could harm them at a broad day light. I know that God factor is involved in everything we do , but one needs to calculate and act based on one’s environment. Why would anyone even think of entering a private car in a place like Lagos, even Abeokuta. A place like Ife Osun State, you can do that but not in environments filled with all manners of hoodlums. Then in a place like Lagos , once you step out , you don’t have any friend. If anyone tries to help you use your sense and if something feels oddly and doesn’t seat well with you , take firm decision and stay selfish. Even in Korope, I stop and alight if I feel uncomfortable. I simply tell the driver I left one important item at home. |
The monster they created came back hunting them. |
Yul Edochie so technically, you’ve admitted that the core issue here is accountability, something the government officials and guests he confronted failed to demonstrate. Even if Oseni Rufai lacks accountability, the impact of that on the country is insignificant compared to when such failure comes from government officials. How can a whole Minister of Works be unable to clearly explain to the public how their funds were used for road maintenance? In this situation, who truly harms the nation more, the minister or Oseni? |
What do they mean by cashless policy ? Only the use of ATM card or it includes an option to make transfer? I faced similar issue at one of the government ministries of Ogun state few days ago. I went to apply for a client and I was told I could only pay with my ATM card. And me I don’t even have any ; I do all money transactions through transfer. So surprised how bank transfer won’t be made part of the option in that circumstance. I spent almost 5 hours just to pay the government and the government workers too were so non-chalant . I don’t really understand how our leaders in this country come up with policies without proper oversight. |
If this had been an Igbo person , the bigots would have come feasting on the Yorubas. Bad leadership has got nothing to do with tribe. They use tribe as a tool to further steal from us. You all bigots should learn today that we have one common enemy which is the corrupt and greedy humans amongst us. And the only way to hold them accountable is to ensure our law is tightened up without any gap for compromise hands to tamper with our jointly owned resources |
Alcoron:I agree with you that students from UI are not the only ones who know how to use AI. Across universities in Nigeria and beyond, whether in formal classrooms or informal learning spaces, AI has simplified access to knowledge and improved how students study. That broader shift in learning is a more reasonable explanation for UI producing such a huge volume of first-class graduates, not the assumption that they alone have mastered AI. And let’s be honest, were there not brilliant undergraduates in UI’s history before now? So why is this happening at this particular time? |
casualobserver:I am not aware of the historical context referenced in that comment, but the percentage figure cited is precisely what I am addressing here. I work as a lawyer. Law was my second degree, and I currently practice in Lagos State. When we studied law, we read hard books, and by hard books, I mean physically visiting libraries to study textbooks and form our own notes, not relying on digital resources. We engaged in active study groups for subjects most students found challenging, and the effort required to understand each concept was rigorous but highly rewarding. Today, the rise of artificial intelligence has fundamentally reshaped the educational landscape. Subjects that once demanded four weeks of dedicated study group sessions can now be covered in under an hour with the aid of AI. The old system is being challenged at a pace that institutions are struggling to match. The University of Ibadan law students arrived at that percentage because, unfortunately, the law faculty has failed to adapt its standards to reflect this new reality. Our curriculum must evolve, moving away from basic hypothetical and definitional questions toward a more advanced, analytical approach. Without this shift, we risk seriously compromising the quality of graduates our universities produce. So for me, what we are witnessing with University of Ibadan law graduates is, in fact, honest and constructive feedback, exactly the kind of signal that policymakers in the education sector need to redesign and realign their policies with the demands of a rapidly changing world. |
My concern is why is Nairaland blurring their faces when other news media outlets didn’t not? It’s a prima facie case of illicit drug crime. So there’s no point hiding their faces. |
letskeeptalking:Look woman, your issue is you don’t like telling yourself the truth. From all your narrations so far, you have always presented yourself as blameless, and that’s where the problem lies here. You know what you want. And what you want does not include fixing the marriage. That alone suggests you’re not intentional to make the marriage work. Even if the man makes attempts to , his efforts will end up failing. It takes two to tango. Whatever your husband has grown up to become in the cause of this your relationship it was caused by something. He separated from you because of something. Why not come down from the horses back and humble yourself. You’re a leader. Act as one. Communicate your mind to him. Don’t be irritant of your husband. Whatever area he appears incomplete, cover for him because nobody is perfect. You definitely have your own defects too. The grass is not greener anywhere. Those that are green that you see outside are being constantly watered with conscious effort and patience. You didn’t mention domestic violence so, this issue is to me fixable. Think about this again. God will help you to overcome this trying time in your life. Amen |
letskeeptalking:At the bolded: it seems your parents used to live the current life you’re living right now. Are you not seeing the pattern here? Be sincere with yourself. You have the feeling of living completely separately from your husband because you have a relationship somewhere outside that makes you feel your current family is seriously short changing you and robbing you of a better life. Let me tell you, that outside or whatever you see giving this feeling is nothing but a mere fantasy. Be intentional and be ready to rekindle the love. Communicate your mind to your husband. Listen to him too. Your relationship apparently lacks communication. |
What’s special about the English? It’s an ordinary language like your mother tongue. If you can’t speak in another man’s language speak in your mother tongue and employ an interpreter. Much ado about nothing. |
Definitely he’s one of the northern armed bandits reintegrated into the army by the Nigeria federal government. |
benardtotti:Haba. Stop the misleading. The correct number is 122, and have tried it myself and it went through. |
It’s called placement in AML. Anyways, the Nigeria government doesn’t need offer Nigerians this sort of news which is long existing even before Tinubu was born. All what Nigerians want is result. |
Interesting |
Perhaps the so called retired Generals are not willing to negotiate sharing percentage. Both the whistleblower and the whistleblowee have their both hands corrupt. Just that one is smarter than the other. |
Eaicom:There could be many reasons in this situation. A few of them are: 1. Where the new person claiming ownership had a better title. 2. Where the new person claiming the property registered the title document with the C/O at the Registry before you. However , situation varies. Your case might be a simple or totally outside any of the above reasons, until you give a more background context to the situation. My number - 09169181123 |
