How long does it take to get a feedback? shootmind: |
Great. Thanks for the info shootmind: |
CBSA? Shouldn't the department be IRCC? Because I just opened the link and it asks to select a department to request from... I see both CBSA and IRCC in the list shootmind: |

Lol. Same for my wife's application Final decision - April 27, 2023: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made Though I've received my own PPR. BVL was sent on April 23. Hers was sent on April 27 and we're still waiting Anyone here for April 27 that hasn't received PPR ? josephb: |
Is it just me or there seems to be some kind of PPR freeze from IRCC? I received mine on May 29, still waiting for my wife and Child's. Since 31st, I haven't really seen anyone post about PPR here |
angie88:When did you send them the email? I have a friend that sent his on Saturday and hasn't received any response, I guess because he sent during the weekend. Also, did you receive a message from donotreply after you sent the document confirming your submission? I received one right after
|
gimakon2:Oh yeah, I expected the status on the tracker to change to completed or something. But it doesn't matter, I received thr PPR, that's all we all care about |
angie88:"May 26 2023. We are reviewing the additional document you sent us" Before I sent the email, it was "We require additional documents" even though I had submitted successfully |

We applied for visitor visa btw... for tourism, not even to visit family or anything like that. So if it was my email that did the trick, I guess everyone should try and send them emails if you have received BVL and have visa number already on the tracker. Here's the email I sent just for anyone who needs it Dear Visa Officer, My name is [name here], I am writing to you regarding the application for Temporary Residents Visa for myself and my family. The application was submitted on November 19, 2022 My wife and I received a biometric verification letter on April 23 and 27 2023 respectively without a decision, I also received a letter to submit additional documents (birth certificate) for our daughter on May 18 2023 which I submitted on the same day. The absence of the decision letter is preventing us from making appropriate travel plans as a family. We are scheduled for a Schengen visa interview on May 31 2023, on that day, we will be submitting our passport for the Schengen visa. We are worried that our passport might still be at the Visa office for Schengen when we get a decision from Canada and we will be unable to take any action. We just recently had a similar issue a few weeks back when I submitted my passport to the US embassy for the renewal of my visa, the embassy took longer than expected in returning my passport and it affected other travel plans that I had made for another country. I had to cancel a hotel booking from booking.com which I have yet to receive a refund for till today and it's not looking like i will be getting a refund. We are hoping to avoid a similar occurrence which is why we have decided to postpone our Schengen visa interview date till July. However, the July postponement will only work if we get a decision from Canada soon. In the absence of a decision, we would have to keep postponing the interview because of the fear of having our passport at the Schengen visa office if we get a passport request from Canada. I kindly request your understanding and compassion in considering our visa application. Approving it would make planning our summer holiday easier as my wife and I are yet to take a single day off from work since 2020. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await your favorable decision. Applicant Information Name of applicant: UCI: Application number: I should also point out that i received a reply immediately saying that they did not receive my submission for my daughter's birth certificate on the portal, so I had to resend it by email, and it was day 9 out of the 10 days they gave me to submit. If I didn't send the email, I would never have known and Mayne we would have been denied for that reason. My point is, it's a good idea to send the email |
Emmafe:Thank you |
PPR just came in!!!! Application date: November 19 2022 BVL: April 23 2023 PPR: May 29 2023 I had to send them a compelling email though, I don't know if it worked or it was just coincidence But only my PPR came out, still waiting for my wife and child's. My wife's BVL came on April 27, so I guess that's why her ppr is yet to drop. Hopeful to get it in a few days. Funny thing is, my tracker status still shows "in progress" and I have already received the PPR |
lekefew:By the way, still waiting for PPR as well Application submission: Nov 19, 2022 BVL for me: April 23, 2023 BVL for my wife: April 27, 2023 Request for birth certificate for my daughter: May 18, 2023. I submitted immediately Hoping to get PPR soon |
inHisheart:I thought this might help someone. I've been seeing a lot of this and I thought to share my experience. I received a request to upload my daughter's birth certificate and I got the page for $100 payment after uploading, but I thought to myself this can't be right because we already paid when we submitted the initial application, so I kept clicking next on all the pages that came, and I never actually made any payment and the submission was accepted, I don't know if it's because she's a minor or because there's just no need to pay any money. So for people having the same problem, just continue clicking next, worst case scenario, you'll get to the page where it asks you for the card details to pay and it will not pull the money from your bank if you don't enter it. Best case scenario, there will be no real payment at the end of it just like my case. |
