Throwback: How are they 2nd hand trains?
That they were built for another customer in the USA who eventually did not complete the purchase order, does not make it 2nd hand if Lagos is the first user.
Is Milwaukee in Canada? Yes I think this the story, U.S not Canada. Okay if it says they're not 2nd hand, I didn't see that part then, but the trains don't look so new too |

Lanrelagboi: The trains are not second hand.
And the red line didn't take 20 years, it was started and completed by the Sanwo-Olu administratiin The trains are used trains Sanwolu purchased in Canada and the news was shared on nairaland when he went for the purchase. The intercity rail system was first initiated by Governor Bola Tinubu in 2003 under "Lagos Urban Transportation Project". Besides the BRT network, the rail network never took off as it was postponed multiple times by successive governors until Sanwolu. |

It's not high speed and the coaches are 2nd-hand trains Sanwolu but from Canada. But it's a good start at least, especially since it took Lagos more than 20 years to complete this rail system |
