Sports / Drogba Could Face Manchester Unitedas Chelsea Hit By Injury Crisis by LeoSanchez(m): 11:04pm On Oct 21, 2014
Loic Remy stood in for the injured Diego
Costa but was himself substituted just
minutes after opening the scoring against
Maribor having injured his groin whilst
shooting
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has
admitted that Didier Drogba could start
Sunday's clash with Manchester United afte
r Loic Remy limped out of the 6-0 win versus
Maribor.
Mourinho expects Remy to be out for "a
couple of weeks" with the injury, while
first-choice forward Diego Costa has missed
the Blues' last two games with a hamstring
complaint and mystery surrounds his
fitness.
Remy started well in the clash with the
Slovenian champions and gave the home
side the lead in the 13th minute with a
precise driven effort from the edge of the
penalty area.
Yet he was substituted just two minutes
later, having hurt his groin in the process of
shooting.
Should both Remy and Costa miss the trip t
o Old Trafford on Sunday, club legend Drogba
could be given the nod to lead the line as
Chelsea look to extend their lead at the top
of the Premier League table.
"I was not expecting [Drogba] to play 75
minutes," Mourinho said. "He had to come
on as the striker. It was too early for the
kids to come on and play 75 minutes.
"He could be there [against Manchester
United]. It was good for him to be on the
pitch."

Sports / Will Man United Be The First Team To Gain All Three Point Against Chelsea by LeoSanchez(m): 4:28pm On Oct 21, 2014
Chelsea have been in rampant form this
season in all competitions. They have
shown balance ane adaptability of the
highest order, and have a spine of
resilience in the team that makes them one
of the most feared teams in Europe,
especially this season. Last season, Chelsea
struggled with their offensive duties and
often ended up playing one dimensional
football, that is defensive, especially in the
business end of the tournaments. This
season, the will to defend is still there, but
there is also, the ability to score at will and
the techniques to dominate the opponents.
It all started from the transfer window with
Chelsea being extremely fast and clinical.
There three main transfers were done in
quick time as Costa, Fabregas and Filipe Luis
arrived this summer and had a full
preseason with the Blues. Ever since the
early advantage in the transfer window,
Chelsea have had a clear agenda and
method to nthei proceedings and are
working flawlessly towards their lofty
objectives.
Manchester United- The Dark
Horse
Only one team in the league has the
manager whom Mourinho genuinely
admires and appreciates. The feeling is
reciprocal as both managers, van Gaal and
Mourinho have high regards for each
others. Van Gaal has a team that is super
strong in offense but rather average and
thin at the back. Chelsea would be LVG’s
first big match of the season and we know
that he is quite well versed with his tactics.
Angel Di Maria has taken the league by
storm and is driving the team forward.
Wayne Rooney has been the vocal leader
but would be suspended against Chelsea.
An attack consisting of Di Maria, Falcao, van
Persie and Mata is a very scary one and
can beat the best of defences if they don’t
step up.
Van Gaal took The Netherlands to the semi
finals with a team that had a great offense
but an average defence. He knows how to
play against the big fish in the big games
and we can be sure José Mourinho won’t
be taking the upcoming fixture lightly.
Chelsea are still the favourites. Mind you,
Manchester United are the dark horses and
the club that are most likely to be the first
to really challenge the Blues for the three
points, but Chelsea still go into this game as
the favourites as they are the team with
skill, experience and resilience.

At the moment; give me one reason Tiago Ilori would choose playing for Nigeria over Portugal...
ow i could give u more than one..
1. He is a Nigerian
2. He is more likely to become a star wif lots of attention here than portugal where he have competitors
but then my point is not only on him. Anyone could play for us if they have us in mind.. Remuv ur surname from ur name and ask yourself what good is ur name alone. Anyone who is not proud of where he/she comes froms is obviously ungrateful and lacks fear of God.

For one, they've gotten to the semi finals of the world cup more than once(same with the euros); something Nigeria has never done.

If you look at both teams at the moment, Portugal is clearly superior to us.
Oga when u put ur facts based on the past is same as eating a roften food.. Who says we wont do better if dat player decides to play for Nigeria?? N who says when others join him our game play wont change for the best
When you have such mentality u will never progress.
Sports / Re: Amodu's First Eleven - What Would It Look Like? by LeoSanchez(m): 1:23pm On Oct 18, 2014
For so many reasons Nigeria wont progress until we change our mindset.
Most of them still relates wit the fact that Nigerians dont ever visualise themself at the top.
They only speak, act and live individually because they dont believe in the country and what the history of it actually stood for,
our mentality is bleak.
When you plan for somfin good u get good results.
When u always speak of what is bad but u never find a solution to it then u will kip on getting thesame outcome.
Who said if u have good idea u cant push for it to work tru for the good of all Nigerians??
Majority of us, our parents, friends celebrities are stereotype and thus stock with certain ideology about life
For the love of God how do u become better if u dont motivate yourself,
who says the SE cant beat Germany if we become better.
We have internet
if you have an opinion who says you cant market it online and make an impact?
Must Everyfin be about what we gain
Its all in our head o... We need to change the way we think and realise that as Nigerians we only have each others back and we shud protect it.
I dont care if i get abusive replies but it irritates me to read majority of comments in Nairaland and most of it is nigeria speaking ill about the country. If our government is not up to its task for A BETTER SOCIETY does that mean we also are

Unfortunately, U won't get to select the team so ur wish of Mikel coming in as a sub can not come true. Haters of Mikel can go and get a foreign coach and they will still be disappointed that he will still be oyinbo's choice in the midfield
yea dats true. I have to admit he is slow but he also have quality. Others may replace him but they wont have the quality he have.. Add speed to mikel and u will have someone diffrent.. His lack of speed made him unique. I guess its the only reason he is still in chelsea.

Religion / What Do Christians Consider A Sin by LeoSanchez(m): 2:08pm On Oct 07, 2014
With my knowledge of the 10 commandments which of course is of 10 rules that should not be broken else will be regarded as sin.
People tend to bend religion to what so ever they please and would not disturb their conscience.
people tend to call themselves men or children of God and profess that they are on the right path but same people especially the ones who are lucky to be christians. Go to church every sunday, read and quote the holy bible are these that break the 10 commandments which is key. most especially by fornicating either to please themselves or to conclude that they can be forgiven cuz they are "children of God" others are yet to be mentioned.
Now how to they justify their actions?
How do they proclaim to be christians when they are not even Christ alike?
how well do they know God and the meaning of what Jesus die for?
And what exactly do they consider sin

Sports / A World Class Super Eagles If These Steps Are Met by LeoSanchez(m): 7:40am On Sep 18, 2014
Brother in green blood be saying Nigeria lacks talent buh i say it is not lack of talent that is our problem..
Our players are talented but lack the final package of world class players which is technical development. We will become the best 100% black team in the world if few areas are covered.
1. We need to improve our tactics basically on:
i. attack
ii. Defence
iii. Player support
iv. Entire team compactivness
v. Counter speed
vi. Defence recovery
Vii. Defence compactivness
and a dummy runner.. We presently have one which is Ozase buh me self i no understand am Sef.
2. We need to improve our pin point passing
3. We need to stop passing the ball back to the keeper at every giving time
4 we need to realise that the power of the team is in its Midfield Having experienced, fast, and accurate players cannot be ova emphasised
5. Try as much as possible to play with the man next to you instead of playing the ball sky high and expect the attackers to hunt for the ball.

Its just dishearten that Everyfin in Nigeria have to be faulty n need emergency fixing.
lets try to get somfin ryt and have a reason to tell our kids that d country we came from was N IS GREAT in this aspect or the other. sad
