Individuals with sickle cell–hemoglobin C (HbSC), have the gene for HbS inherited from one parent and the gene for HbC is inherited from the other parent: they are "heterozygous". Since HbC does not polymerize as readily as HbS, there is less sickling (fewer sickle cells). The peripheral smear demonstrates mostly target cells and only a few sickle cells.

You lack understanding. When a person is heterozygous for HBSC then obviously you call it sickle cell-hemoglobin C notice the hyphen.

But hemoglobin C as a hemoglobin variant has nothing to do with sickle cell. They are not the same. The symptoms are quite similar and sometimes overlap which is why ppl sometimes talk about one and bring up the other.

Note that unlike the Haemoglobin S dsx (SS), pxts with Hemoglobin C dsx have a normal life expectancy,

SC? This condition is associated with recurrent anaemia (breakdown of red cells in the blood vessels) and pain crises (vaso-occlusive crises). Some may also experience aseptic necrosis of the thigh bone (femur).

The summary is that it is bad!

One thing you must understand is that in terms of geographic distribution, the haemoglobin C allele is found at the highest frequencies in West Africa and it has been associated with protection against malaria.

A good number of people have the C allele but are unaware of it.
Also note that most people with the AC genotype show no symptoms,

A man or woman with AS or AC or SS or SC or CC (very rare) cannot marry each other if they want to avoid SS or SC.

They must marry a partner with AA if they don’t want to born a child with Sickle cell syndrome.

If AS or AC marry each other, they have 25% chance of having a sickle child at every birth. If they marry SS or SC, they have 50% chance of having a sickle cell child at every birth.

Please note all their kids could be AS AC or AA.

If SS or SC marry each other, it’s is nothing other than a terrible disaster.
All their children will have Sickle cell.

SC and SS are almost the same only that SS suffers more severe crisis than SC carrier. You might not notice the presence of the disease on the body of SC carrier, unlike in SS.

Dont be misinformed Hemoglogin CC is a type of hemoglobin in its own own right and has nothing to do with Sickle cell.

Other rare hemoglobin variants are D and E

The popular ones are hemoglobin A and S. Hemoglobin A is the usual hemoglobin in ppl, although variants of the normal hemoglobin dont always cause problems

In the original design (our bodies) were created perfectly.
That would mean...void of any malformations, deformities or impairments (visual, auditory, physical etc.).
If our bodies decay.....which they do as we age...that means that we are imperfect.
If a person needs earring aids, glasses, a cane to walk etc....that shows a sign of an impairment(s)...as "small" as those may be.
Adam & Eve didn't need those things because their bodies were created perfectly.....
That baby born with only one eye...wasn't God's original perfect plan. Ideally, it would've had two eyes.

It causes situation to be "less than ideal".
