sppecie: Thanks a lot sppecie God bless u for this info.but I wud still get back to u later I wud call d doctor n ask him some questions.hope his is friendly But did u get any form of discounts whatsoever.
My Expenses (contd.)
Paediatric care - $100 Circumcision on day 8 - $300 ( The Nigerian Dr that delivered my son circumcised him)
Paperwork in LA was fast and easy
My wife informed the social worker at the hospital that she needed the birth certificate to travel within 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I arrived LA to help wifey with paperwork and Birth Certificate was already waiting. I collected this and booked appointment (by Phone) with the US Passport office at Wilshire BLVD. By this time we all had flight tickets - to travel within 2 weeks ( This is condition for fast track PP). I went wih wife and son to the Passport office and applied. 2 days later, Passport was ready! and I picked up - ready to travel.
I ll advise any one that can afford to RENT YOUR OWN PLACE AND LET YOUR RELATIONS VISIT YOU! That way - No one will Think You owe him Any thing! If you stay with relations - sooner /later, you will find out s'thing you don't like about your host OR she finds out s'thing wrong with you!
Since my wife arrived, 2 other Ladies have come in and stayed in the same house with wifey - and have delivered - 1 normal and 1 via CS - All HAPPY!
LA does NOT have the several issues with POE as you have in Houston/NY/ Atlanta though it's a longer flight!
Cheers.
( Sorry for NOT updating for long time)

sppecie: Good News!!!! My Baby Boy, CHRIS was delivered on the 10th of Oct at Los Angeles by a Nigerian, Dr. K.N.S Mbagwu via normal delivery and my wife was discharged after 24 hours. Like I mentioned earlier in my past posts, the Dr. owns townhouses opposite the Hospital. There was no need to stay an extra day at the hospital. So consider this - staying at one of these properties will save you unnecessary hospital fee for staying extra days.
For now these are our expenses:
We paid -> $3000 to the Hospital -> $1500 To the Doctor We are paying $1200 /month per person for the Fully Furnished townhouse( 3 rooms upper level, reception, kitchen - all utensils included at ground floor ). My wife is currently with another Nigerian lady.
The Dr accepted the tests we brought from home but requested more Lab Test ( I don't have the exact amt as I m out of the US but I bet it's not more than $250). My wife's EDD was close and the Dr cancelled the scan after checking her and the lab results. We had earlier scan before travelling to the US and the Dr obviously did not want to expose the baby to more rays.
My son has Paediatrich check up on Monday (tomorrow, LA time) and I ll update the charges.
If any one is considering Los Angeles, email me.

vivianobas: Hi Betty,
My name is Vivian and I can authoritatively tell you and every other person on this forum that I had my baby at MIHS and the experience was wonderful. I paid $2,888 during signing of the contract and didn't get any additional bill after delivery. For delivering without complications, I got a rebate of $250 4 weeks after delivery. I paid $260 for my baby's circumcision and also had to pay another $70 for additional pediatric checkup for my baby before we came back to Nigeria.
I even requested for a letter from the hospital stating that my account was at zero balance and they obliged me. So for anyone to come here and state the opposite is sad and disheartening. I cannot even begin to mention all the free stuffs I got from the hospital before and after delivery.
They don't lie and I can convincingly tell you that what you see is what you get and much more. I was there in March 2013 and to the best of my knowledge, they are still the way I left them in April 2012. hi vivan pls in new to this thread n ur post really encouraged me to think abt goin to MHIS to hav my baby.but I wanted to hav sone info like the website, the doctor to contact, which flight u took to phoenix frn nigeria, any cheap accomodation any other imp info u think I need thanks I plan to go in march next yr |

Hello Chrisvicmall,my email is chayoms4u@yahoo.com.au there were some mistakes in ur calculations pls refer to ur mail box to follow up the order thanks.i need a reply asap.
Please find below my calculations according to the links orwarded to you respectively.
1. $21.98 weight 0.8kg
2. $19.55 weight 0.4kg
3. $12.50 weight 0.8kg

5. $17.1 weight 2.46kg
6. $6.50 weight 0.058kg

$100.51 5.302kg the total cost of products from the seller is $100.51 the total weight as described by the suppliers is $5.302kg approximately 6kg according to you at 1kg/$13 6kg/$78 service charge=10 total cost = $100.51 + $78 + $10 = $188.51 as opposed to your calculation of $192.06
Please confirm if i can go ahead and pay my calculated total of $188.51 into your diamond bank account
