As we celebrate Democracy Day, we honour the sacrifices of the many patriots who fought to secure the democratic freedoms we enjoy today, including our own Chief Anthony Enahoro, whose courage and commitment helped shape Nigeria’s democratic journey. Their work did not end with them. It remains our collective responsibility to protect that legacy by staying engaged, coming out to vote, and holding our leaders accountable. Let us continue to strengthen our democracy and build a nation that reflects the hopes and aspirations of all its people. Happy Democracy Day. May God bless Edo South Senatorial District, Edo State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Leadership is not just about holding a position. It’s about what you do with that position when the people who trust you need you most. Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen has spent years proving that point. He has built his journey on one simple principle: people first. For him, governance is not about political camps, titles, or temporary alliances. It’s about unity. It’s about bringing every community, every age group, every voice in Edo South to one table. That’s why his style has always been different. Before decisions are made, he consults. Before projects are planned, he listens. Before promises are given, he understands. He knows that a senator who ignores his people will only succeed on paper, but a senator who carries his people along will succeed in reality. A leader who sees service as responsibility, not reward. That leader is Iduoriyekemwen Matthew Tested in service. Rooted in the people. Ready for the Senate. #mai4senate #mai2027 #edosouth2027 #ADC

OVIA 2027: A FUTURE WE CAN BUILD TOGETHER Hon. (Barr.) Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian for House of Representatives, Ovia Federal Constituency The story of a people is written by the choices they make in defining moments. For Ovia, 2027 is that moment. It is the year we decide whether we continue to manage the old problems or we rise to build the new possibilities. It is the year we choose a representative who understands that leadership is not a title, but a task. The unwavering commitment of Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian to building a community where opportunity, equity, and development are not privileges but rights remains his hallmark in this current political dispensation. This is not campaign talk. This is a record you can trace. As Member representing Ovia North East Constituency 1 in the Edo State House of Assembly, he did not learn representation on the job. He defined it. With the discipline of a lawyer, the courage of a reformer, and the heart of a son of the soil, he turned the floor of the Assembly into a platform for Ovia’s progress. He was prepared in committee, principled in plenary, and present for his people. The House of Representatives is where the future of our people is decided. It is where budgets are won, laws are written, and federal presence is secured. Ovia deserves a voice that arrives ready, not a voice that goes there to practice. Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian brings tested experience, a legal mind, and legislative maturity that commands respect. He knows the rules, he knows the rooms, and he knows how to make them work for Ovia. Supporting Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian’s Ovia Agenda means embracing a future where Ovia stands tall as a beacon of possibility. Under this agenda, no child in Ovia will have their future limited by where they were born. We will push for federal interventions in our schools, scholarship frameworks that reach every community, and ICT hubs that prepare our youth for the economy of tomorrow. Every child of Ovia must be able to dream the same size dream as a child born anywhere in the world. The Ovia Agenda insists that development is not a reward for political loyalty. It is the right of every citizen. We will fight for fair allocation of projects, transparent execution, and equal access to federal programs. Whether you are a farmer, a trader, a student, or a professional, your voice matters and your needs count. Our people deserve to sleep with their doors open and wake up to work that pays. Through strong legislative oversight, strategic partnerships with security agencies, and laws that back local enterprise, we will build an Ovia where families are safe and hard work is profitable. Roads that lead to markets. Power that keeps shops open. Healthcare that keeps mothers alive. Ovia is rich in culture, land, and talent. Yet for too long, we have been treated as an afterthought. The Ovia Agenda is about restoring our pride and projecting our promise. It is about ensuring that every citizen feels proud of their heritage and hopeful for tomorrow. It is about young people who no longer run from home, but return to build it. It is about elders who see the sacrifices of their youth reflected in the dignity of their old age. This is why we say: *Ovia, Believe Me.* This is not a slogan for billboards. It is a covenant. It is a pledge that when you send Charity forward, you are sending competence, character, and courage to Abuja. You are sending a man who will not be silent when Ovia should speak. You are sending a man who will not be absent when Ovia should be counted. The work ahead is great, but so is our will. We have the population. We have the resources. We have the talent. What we need now is the right representation to unlock it all. *Your Expectation Is Going To Be Massive Satisfaction*, because we are not coming to explain problems. We are coming to solve them. So to the market women, the bike riders, the teachers, the students, the farmers, the professionals, and the pensioners of Ovia: This is your campaign. This is your mandate. *Don’t be told. Join me now. Let us win the election together.* The future is not something we enter. It is something we create. And in 2027, we create it with our votes. The time is now. The man is ready. The mission is clear. OVIA TO GREATER HEIGHTS. SEND CHARITY FORWARD. ✅ Vote NDC ✌️ Service to the People Hon. (Barr.) Open Letter to the First Lady; Senator Oluremi Tinubu Madam First Lady, At a time when families are living in fear and children have been kidnapped from their schools, many citizens expect to see visible empathy, urgency, and leadership from those in positions of national influence. The continued public displays of singing and dancing while parents desperately seek answers about missing children can appear disconnected from the pain and anxiety being experienced across the country. To many, it feels inappropriate given the gravity of the situation. You are not only the First Lady; you are also a woman and a mother of all. Many citizens therefore look to you for compassion, empathy, and moral leadership, especially in moments of national distress. While families are searching for children who have been kidnapped or remain missing, public celebrations, singing, and dancing can appear out of step with the grief, fear, and anxiety many parents are experiencing. At a time like this, people want to see solidarity with affected families and a visible commitment to the welfare and safety of children - like you have always done. But “The grand inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers” on live television raises a painful question: is this really the message the nation needs at a time when families are still searching for missing and kidnapped children? A few days ago, a group of APC women appeared before you, singing, “Na our mama be this o,” and ending with “On your mandate.” Again, you smiled, danced, and celebrated with them on national television. But while those songs were being sung and those dances performed, children were still in captivity. Families were still waiting for news. Mothers were still crying themselves to sleep, wondering whether they would ever see their children again. What kind of example does this set? What kind of leadership is being projected to the nation and to the world? At a time of such profound pain and insecurity, should those in positions of influence be celebrating themselves or standing in solidarity with the suffering? As First Lady, you occupy a unique moral position. Nigerians expect compassion, empathy, and sensitivity from you. Instead, these public displays of political adulation and celebration create the impression that the anguish of ordinary citizens has become secondary to image-making and political theatre. You are presenting vehicles to political supporters and women’s groups while countless mothers are living through every parent’s worst nightmare. Many Nigerians cannot reconcile these displays of celebration and reward with the pain being experienced by families whose loved ones remain missing or in captivity. What do grieving mothers see when they watch such ceremonies? What comfort do they draw from convoys, gifts, songs, and dancing while they wait for news about their children? Leadership is not measured by the number of ceremonies held or gifts distributed. It is measured by empathy, moral clarity, and a willingness to stand with those who are suffering. At a moment when so many families are carrying unbearable burdens, public displays of celebration can appear detached from the realities facing ordinary Nigerians. The nation needs compassion more than pageantry. It needs solidarity more than praise-singing. It needs leaders who recognize that the grief of even one family with a missing child should command our collective attention and concern. Please, Madam First Lady, bring an end to this spectacle. Suspend these public celebrations, these choreographed endorsements, and these displays of praise-singing. This is not the time. A nation with kidnapped children, grieving parents, struggling families, and widespread hardship should not be projecting scenes of self-congratulation. It diminishes our collective humanity and sends the wrong message to the world. The mothers waiting for their children do not need entertainment. They need hope. They need action. They need leaders who visibly share their pain and use every platform available to demand results. History will not remember how loudly people sang your praises. It will remember whether those with influence stood with the vulnerable when it mattered most. Please use your voice and influence to focus national attention on the plight of these families. Let the priority be the children who are still missing, the parents who are still waiting, and the communities that continue to live in fear. We all want a nation that is safe, compassionate, and just—a country where no parent lives in fear of losing a child, and where leadership reflects the hopes and struggles of its people. May we never become so accustomed to suffering that we celebrate while others mourn. May we find the courage to place humanity above politics and compassion above ceremony. God bless a united and indivisible Nigeria. Respectfully, Oteghe Adams

In a chamber of 109 Senators representing the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, effective representation goes beyond merely occupying a seat. The ability to attract the dividends of democracy to one's constituency requires courage, competence, confidence, influence, and a deep understanding of legislative processes. A Senator must be firm in defending the interests of his people, articulate in presenting their needs, and strategic in building relationships that can translate into meaningful development projects and opportunities. He must know how to lobby effectively, negotiate where necessary, and ensure that his constituents are not left behind in the distribution of national resources. This is where Iduoriyekemwen Matthew stands out. Matthew is not the type who will go to the Senate merely to warm a seat or remain a silent observer while critical decisions affecting his people are being made. His track record as a former parliamentarian and in politics has demonstrated that he is a man of capacity, courage, and conviction. He will be a strong and respected voice, consistently speaking up for the interests of Edo South and ensuring that the concerns of his people are heard at the highest levels of government. He will not be intimidated, sidelined, or pushed into irrelevance. Rather, he will be among the Senators whose contributions shape debates, influence policies, and attract tangible development to their constituencies. At a time when Edo South needs purposeful and effective representation, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen offers the experience, network, and leadership qualities required to make a real difference. He understands the needs of the people, and more importantly, he knows how to translate those needs into action and results. With Matthew in the Senate, Edo South can be assured of active, visible, and impactful representation. ~ Rita Ebiuwa

HON. (BARR) CHARITY IGUODALA AIGUOBARUEGHIAN DEMANDS IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF KIDNAPPED SCHOOL CHILDREN AND THEIR TEACHERS I condemn in the strongest possible terms the wicked and cowardly abduction of innocent school children and their teachers. This is not just a crime. This is an assault on our future, an attack on education, and a betrayal of our humanity. Our children were taken from their classrooms. Their teachers were taken while doing the noblest job on earth, shaping minds and building the nation. Their only offense was seeking knowledge and imparting knowledge. Their place is not in the bush with criminals. Their place is in the classroom with books. Their place is at home with their families. I demand the immediate and unconditional release of every child and every teacher in captivity. These kidnappers must understand that the whole of Nigeria is watching. The anger of parents is rising. The patience of communities is running out. Release them now, alive and unharmed, before the full weight of justice comes for you. Government at all levels must stop talking and start acting. We do not need another press conference. We do not need another committee. We need our children back. Deploy every security asset, every intelligence tool, every resource available. If we can secure convoys for politicians, we can secure classrooms for pupils. If we can find campaign venues, we can find kidnappers’ dens. Paying ransom is not a solution. It is fuel for the next kidnapping. We must dismantle these networks of evil with force, with technology, and with the full resolve of the state. A country that negotiates with those who steal children has already lost its soul. To the parents and families waiting in agony, I say this: Your pain is our pain. Your children are our children. Your teachers are our heroes. We will not keep quiet. We will not look away. We will keep pressing, keep shouting, and keep demanding until your loved ones are back in your arms. A nation that cannot protect its schools has no claim to tomorrow. When children are afraid to learn and teachers are afraid to teach, then we have all failed. This is beyond politics. This is about whether we still have a conscience as a people. I stand as a father, as a lawmaker, and as a Nigerian to say: Bring back our kidnapped children and their teachers. Now. Alive. Unharmed. Every hour they spend in captivity is an hour of stolen childhood. Every day of silence from those in power is a day of complicity. Every child deserves safety, love, and a future. Their place is not in captivity, it is in our arms. Act now. Save their future. Hon. (Barr) Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian Voice of the People. Defender of the Voiceless. CIA MEDIA

PRESS RELEASE On the Abduction of Teachers and Students in Oyo State June 2, 2026 It is with deep sorrow and urgency that I address the abduction of teachers and students from Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Community Grammar School, and L.A. Primary School in Esiele and Yawota, Oriire LGA, Oyo State, on May 15, 2026. About 46 pupils, students and teachers remain in captivity, including a 2-year-old child and Principal Mrs. Rachael Alamu. The attack also claimed the lives of Mr. Michael Oyedokun, a mathematics teacher, a motorcyclist, and a security operative. For 18 days, families have lived in anguish. Schools across Oyo State are shut as teachers protest under the Nigeria Union of Teachers, demanding the immediate return of their colleagues and students. As Matter Of Urgency The FG Should: 1. Deploy all security and intelligence assets - land, air, and surveillance - for the immediate and safe rescue of every abducted teacher and student. 2. Treat this as a national emergency. Schools must never be hunting grounds. Override delays and use all necessary force and negotiation channels. 3. Establish a military base in Oriire LGA and secure the forest corridors being exploited by criminals. 4. Support victims’ families with welfare and psychological care, including the family of late Mr. Michael Oyedokun. 5. Revitalize the Safe School Initiative with urgent focus on rural schools across Oyo and border communities. To President Bola Tinubu, the NSA, CDS, and all security agencies: The patience of parents and the people of Oyo is exhausted. We need action, not assurances. To Nigerians: Let us stay united and prayerful, but let our unity demand accountability. No parent should endure this pain. We will not rest until every teacher and student returns home. The Federal Government must take ALL measures to bring them back. Anything less is unacceptable. ~ Levi Osamwonyi Concerned Citizen

HON. CHARITY IGUODALA AIGUOBARUEGHIAN: A MAN OF THE PEOPLE Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian is a distinguished statesman whose name has become synonymous with service, integrity, and impactful leadership. His journey in public service reflects a rare blend of competence, courage, and genuine commitment to the people he represents. As a leader, Hon. Charity has shown that governance is not about occupying an office but about answering to the people. He is accessible, responsive, and deliberate in his actions. He listens to the concerns of the grassroots and translates those concerns into motions, projects, and policies that touch lives. His style of leadership is participatory. He believes the people must have a voice, and he has made himself that voice. His advocacy cuts across critical areas of development. He has been consistent in pushing for quality education, improved healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities for small businesses and farmers. He understands that real development starts when the most vulnerable are protected and when young people have tools to build their future. That is why his interventions often target skills acquisition, infrastructure, and support systems that create lasting impact. In a political climate where trust is hard to earn, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian has built a reputation on transparency and accountability. Those who work with him describe him as principled. Those he represents describe him as reliable. He carries the weight of leadership with humility, and that single trait has earned him respect even from political opponents. He is not a man of empty words. He follows through. Hon. Charity is also a bridge builder. He understands that no meaningful progress happens in isolation. His ability to unite stakeholders, work across party lines, and negotiate in the interest of his people shows political maturity that is rare. He plays politics without bitterness and leads without arrogance. For him, the people come first, and every decision is weighed against that standard. Beyond politics, his personal qualities set him apart. He is warm, empathetic, and deeply connected to his roots. He relates with market women, artisans, students, and elders with the same respect. He remembers names, keeps to his word, and shows up in times of need. That is why his support base is not built on handouts but on loyalty and trust. To appraise Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian is to describe a man who turned public office into true public service. His record shows consistency. His character shows credibility. His vision shows clarity. In him, the people have more than a lawmaker. They have an advocate, a defender of their interests, and a steady hand they can trust. In today’s politics, leaders like Hon. Charity remind us that titles mean little without impact. And on the scale of impact, he has delivered. His work speaks for him, and his legacy continues to grow with each step he takes. We celebrate Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian. A man of the people, for the people, and with the people. CIA MEDIA

PRESS RELEASE: OYO KIDNAPPING TRAGEDY IS A DAMNING INDICTMENT OF GOVERNMENT FAILURE I condemn in the strongest possible terms the kidnapping of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. This horrific incident is not merely the act of criminals; it is a devastating consequence of the persistent failure of government at all levels to fulfill its primary constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property. The abduction of innocent children and educators is yet another painful reminder that insecurity has become normalized under a system that appears increasingly reactive rather than proactive. Time and again, Nigerians have witnessed mass kidnappings, attacks on schools, and violent assaults on communities, only for authorities to issue routine statements after lives have already been endangered. The question Nigerians must ask is simple: How many more children must be kidnapped before meaningful preventive action is taken? It is unacceptable that despite repeated incidents across the country, schools remain vulnerable, intelligence gathering remains inadequate, and criminal elements continue to operate with alarming boldness. The absence of effective preventive security measures has created an environment where kidnappers believe they can act with little fear of deterrence. The government cannot continue to celebrate promises while citizens bury their loved ones, pay ransoms, or live in constant fear. The people deserve more than expressions of sympathy after every tragedy. They deserve leadership, foresight, and decisive action before these crimes occur. I therefore hold the relevant authorities accountable for the glaring security lapses that enabled this incident. While the criminals who carried out this heinous act must face the full weight of the law, the government must also accept responsibility for failing to implement adequate measures to safeguard vulnerable communities and educational institutions. I demand: 1. The immediate and unconditional rescue of all victims. 2. A transparent investigation into the circumstances that enabled this attack. 3. The deployment of enhanced security architecture around schools and vulnerable communities. 4. The publication of a comprehensive action plan to prevent future abductions. 5. Accountability from public officials charged with ensuring the safety of citizens. The lives of Nigerian children are not expendable. Every preventable kidnapping is a policy failure, every avoidable loss is a leadership failure, and every delayed response deepens the crisis of public confidence. The people of Oyo State and Nigeria deserve security, not excuses. Signed: Oteghe Adams Aspirant to the House of Representatives Oredo Federal Constituency Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC

At a time when our people are yearning for purposeful representation, inclusive leadership, and a renewed sense of direction, the call for unity across Edo South has become more important than ever. Prince Aghedo, who was initially one of the aspirants seeking the same position, joined the entourage and publicly declared his support for Hon. Charity's aspiration. According to him, after careful consideration of capacity, competence, experience, and proven leadership, Hon. (Barr.) Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian remains the best candidate to deliver quality representation and attract meaningful development to Ovia Federal Constituency. Children’s Day is more than a celebration. It is a reminder of who we are building our nation for. On this day, we honor the heartbeat of our country — our children. They carry within them the hope of tomorrow, the pride of today, and the promise of a Nigeria that can be greater than we imagine. Every laugh, every question, every act of curiosity is proof that the future is alive and full of possibility. But possibility only becomes reality when we, as leaders and citizens, fulfill our duty. A duty to provide quality education that unlocks potential. A duty to ensure healthcare that keeps them strong. A duty to build safe communities where they can play, learn, and dream without fear. A duty to create a society where no child is left behind because of where they were born or the circumstances of their family. For us in Oredo West, this is personal. Our children deserve schools that inspire, opportunities that open doors, and leaders who listen. Investing in them is not charity, it is the most strategic investment we can make in our future. To every child across Oredo West and Nigeria: know this: your dreams are valid, your voices deserve to be heard, and your future is worth fighting for. Today belongs to you. May you grow in wisdom, courage, and joy, and may the nation rise to meet you. Happy Children’s Day! ~ Dr. Peter Ovbokhan Orobor, ADC Candidate EDHA Oredo West Constituency.

The quality of decisions we make today will determine the nation our children inherit tomorrow. Our children deserve access to quality education, proper healthcare, security, moral guidance, and an environment that nurtures their talents and ambitions, fostering hope for a better tomorrow. As leaders and citizens, we owe them policies and actions that create opportunities and inspire hope. I remain committed to supporting initiatives and advocating for a society where every child can dream bigger, learn better, and grow into a responsible, productive citizen. To every child: your dreams matter, your voice matters, and your future matters. Continue to believe in yourselves because a brighter Edo South and a greater Nigeria will be built through your potential. Happy Children’s Day. Hon. NDC -Oredo Federal Constituency Oteghe Adams: Redefinition of Representation There are rare moments in the chronicles of humanity that could be framed, as unquestionably existential, in nature. Such times engender an obligation to history in a way that demands higher exhibition of civic duty, and unprecedented vigilance, on the part of the people as the ultimate sovereign in a democracy. As often underscored in popular saying, while definitely power comes from God, but the people are the ultimate repository of power. That very moment of existential choice for our people is now, Oredo Federal constituency has arrived at the crossroads of history, we the gallant humanity of Oredo, must now make a choice that leverages us for a Forward Leap in the chronicles of times. Our representative must understand the sociological dynamics of moving and pushing through motions in a 360 -member National Assembly; of how to build coalitions for supporting issues that are reflective of the core aspirations of the Oredo constituency. We do NOT, therefore , just need somebody who can win the primary, but a candidate, who can be victorious in the general election, and consequently, proceed to be a respected face and revered voice at the legislative forum. Oteghe Adams is not a stranger to, and he’s not intimidated by the process of building difficult consensus from the often contentious atmosphere of the legislature. Oteghe Adams is reputed to have served in a senior appointive capacity in one of the most successful and stable legislative history of Edo State . This background, that Adams brings, is in addition to his experience in, legislative /community activism, in which he was engaged while in the United States of America . More generally and significantly, the aspirant is well grounded in both matters of business and people management professionally and personally. Fortunately, Oredo people have massively and enthusiastically embraced Nigeria’s most durable political party, the Nigeria democratic congress NDC, with incorruptible people -oriented agenda . The cherished aspirations of Oredo people seem to have located, a fertile political base in which constituency will flourish. It is the projection, of the various non-partisan groups and prominent independent political voices in Oredo, that these times presents the golden opportunity for the constituents to actualize their profound political yearnings. Oteghe Adams, from various independent surveys, is viewed from his political antecedents, life experiences and educational qualifications, as possessing the best capacity for the heroic task ahead.
