I remember when I used to listen to BBC commentary back then, there's no week that passes without a Nigerian (especially Yekini) scoring a goal in europe. These days, if Martins doesn't score, you hardly hear of any other NIgerian. The world has moved on, other nations have improved but unfortunately, we have dropped down.

Nigerians seem to be missing a very crucial point. How many of the players featured on sunday play key roles in top cubs the way players like Essien,Drogba,Etoo,Adebayor etc do?

u all are assuming that NFA was not part of the age scam going on in our football all along.
There is no way age cheats would have been able to make it without the approval of NFA officials.
Remember the Abiodun Baruwa episode in 1996?Likewise Furo Iyenemin in 2000 and of recent Obafemi/NFA website age saga in 2005.

The truth is NFF needs to deliver trophies and the MRI scan thing is just to keep people from asking questions anymore. Its a waste of time and money.You generally know when a player is overaged from their history.e.g aghahowa claimed he was 17yrs old in Nigeria 99 and he was already a police corporal years before.Now that is the second rung in the police ladder.You dont need an MRI scan to know that he added a minimum of 7yrs to his age as you cant even enlist in the police force without being 18(i think).

Bottomline : the age Scam is Institutionalised.The MRI scan will yield no results
