Youth Group demands
good governance from
leaders

Professional Youth for
Good Governance of Nigeria (PYGGN), said on Friday
that the youth group wanted good governance from
all political leaders across the country.
The National President of the group, Mr Tunde
Daromosu, said this in Ilorin after a one-Kilometer
walk organised to demand for good governance in
the country.
"PYGGN is concerned about the Nigerian State and
we want the country to remain after the 2015 general
elections.
“We want prosperity for Nigeria, we want good
governance.
“We want to partner with the Federal, State and local
government, to give back to the society the expected
change and development.
“Nigeria is not supposed to be in the situation it is
today,” Daromosu said.
He said the country was endowed with every
resource God has given to man, in human capital and
capability, including abundant natural resources.
Daromosu said that what the country needed now
was to get it right at the top, which is the leadership
level.
“This is a movement that has just started, we are not
hooligans; we are professionals, educated by
Nigerian parents.
“We want to give back to our society the best of
ideas and knowledge that we have acquired through
our learning in school and experiences in life.
“We have gathered ourselves to give support to our
governments by providing an alternative to the ideas
they have.
“We have concept, we want to marry public
administration to public service,” he added.
The National Coordinator of the group, Nasiru
Abdulquadri, described one of the challenges facing
the country’s youth as lack of support for their
aspirations.
“The problem the Nigerian youth have is that there is
no conducive environment for them to strive because
everyone is prioritizing money and there is no
exemplary leadership.
“The only way the youth can get it right is to have
leaders with a vision, that is worth being pursuied by
the youth," Abdulquardri said. The national publicity secretary of PYGGN Olawale Mohammed asserted that the only way forward for Nigeria is to get our rule of Law right and vote out corruption in our system, the government should create an enabling environment for all to thrive.
The walk took off from the Ahmadu Bello Way,
through the Muritala Muhammed Way, to the front of
the Kwara State Ministry of Works, Ilorin.

One of the things that aided Godfather-ism is poverty. Poverty is so much in Kwara state.
yea....poverty is a dominant factor...thats why the manifesto of the various political parties have to b carefully studied and examined.

that's why our democracy is backward today, God fatherism breeds do or die politician and political brigandage.

well...i can agree with you on that bt u cnt blame kwara politicians because thats how politics is being practiced in nigeria...not kwara alone...even the president got there with the help of his godfather.

The disunity among the governorship aspirants will be their undoing. You can't unseat fatai+bukola's influence by splitting into such numbers. Reach a consensus, push one person out there and give him maximum support.
i guess those pdp guys dnt av the brain to tink abt that.

My bro we are been enslave by an un-repentant oligarchy who has enthrone their political dynastic on us, transferring their hegemony to their children children.

Has bukola also pass us to his son?

Oba has no structure on ground and his selective "tribalism" even within Ilorin might be his undoing

Belgore would have faired better if the "feeble" ACN structure he had went with him to PDP. He would be swallowed by the original PDP and so might not get the ticket!

So that brings us back to the big Question...
Who gets the pdp ticket?

Lets keep this thread going, who is going to save us from the political slavery, economic degradation, monumental corruption taking place in Kwara and perpetual mediocre ruling us from time immemorial.

When ever i travel home, i see poverty, serious once that its so obvious from their looks, house and surrounding. And this is as a result of lack of quality leadership in Kwara state.

In the whole Nigeria, the state that lack unity most among their people is Kwara state. There may not be visible fighting, violent or ethnic clash but i tell you politically we are disjointed, and that is the bane of our problem.

Political slaverry!!!
Who is enslaving who?

Any candidate presented by the pdp would have better chances if he's from central, such candidates must have the appeal of other zones. The permutations on ground now is fitted for MDB and prof. Oba shuaib, with the primaries closing in there's still alot of work to be done.

Yea..i tink the best shot is kwara central...bt i see PDP fighting and breaking..already there is faction already..MDB and Oba have followers already...2 brothers frm the belgores wanna get the ticket..confusion too much...
Apc don get consencus candidate..

Incumbency might not safe APC if PDP brings a "better" candidate, possibly, from Kwara south where the current governor comes. So, far Ajadi seem to fit better. Is he even an aspirant yet?

Ajadi ke...who sabi am...he is an aspirant already..his posters are everywia..i see some point in ur opinion bt if at all kwara south will win then Ajadi isn't the candidate..

If only pdp will be very focuse, united and be able to fish out all the moles in its ranks..,, a big surprise awaits the sarakite.

The pdp house is not in order.... there are about 20 aspirants for the governorship seat...they are nt concerned with other seats.i dnt tink anybody can stop APC.
