Romance / Lesbianism Scandal Rocks Kogivarsity(video) by lheksban(m): 7:47am On Oct 27, 2015
*As sex video goes viral By Kingsley Fanwo Lokoja—Once again, Kogi State University is in the news for unpleasant reasons as lesbian sex videos involving students of the university recently emerged on the campus. Some of the students involved are those of Economics and English Education departments. The two students in one of the videos monitored by Vanguard, revealed how deep the culture of lesbianism had infiltrated the female hostels in the school. One of the students is considering leaving the school to avoid possible stigmatization as the videos had gone viral. A female student in the Department of Zoology who craved anonymity, told Vanguard that lesbianism was becoming a big issue in the university. She said young, fresh undergraduates were lured into the immoral club as many of them do not know what was in it before joining the lesbian ring. “Kogi State University is fast becoming the comfort zone for lesbians. Many Jambites are lured into the ring because they don’t even know what it is all about. ‘’What they do now is to relocate off-campus in order to enjoy the privacy needed for their illicit and immoral act. Once in it, it is so difficult to renounce because lesbians share a lot of gifts to keep victims in it. ‘’The authorities of this school may need to take drastic steps to restore the moral integrity and discipline for which we were known,” she said. When Vanguard got in contact with one of the lesbians, she said she was lured into lesbianism in her first week on campus by a very wealthy 300 student. She said she was not aware that their sex escapades were recorded, threatening to quit the university in order to save the integrity of her family. “My attention was drawn to the video in circulation by one of my friends. When I watched it, I knew that was the end of my stay in this school. ‘’Many of my course mates already have the video, so it will be difficult for me to continue my academic programme because of possible stigmatization. I have brought shame to myself and my family,” she lamented. Although the school authorities are yet to release an official statement on the scandal, sources close to the authorities said investigations into the issue of lesbianism among the students had commenced.

Crime / 2 Reportedly Killed As Robbers Raideko Bridge [graphic Photo] by lheksban(m): 9:41am On Oct 25, 2015
The bandits were said to be robbing motorists at the Eko bridge, which links the Island to the Costain area of Lagos state. City Today gathered that when the hoodlums, who were robbing from one vehicle to vehicle, they got to a car and ordered the occupants to wind down their windows, with the occupants refused to comply. The refusal of the occupants to wind down the windows, angered the robbers, who reportedly shot dead the two occupants. An eyewitness, simply identified as Onwuyali, said: “We were in a serious gridlock at the Costain area when armed robbers, who cashed in on the traffic situation started robbing motorists. Our bus was robbed, after which the robbers went to a car in front of ours. I saw one of the armed robbers, arguing with the occupants of the vehicle. I later heard about five gunshots. One of the robbers was searching the car while others were firing into the air. “The shooting caused serious stampede, as motorists abandoned their vehicles and scampered for safety. Some courageous ones, who tried to zoom off hit other vehicles. It was when people were going to work, so the commotion was too much.” Another witness, Joel Omojola, said: “When we heard the gunshots, my family and I thought that they were bank robbers that raided FESTAC Town two weeks ago, so we abandoned our vehicle and took to our heels."
Education / New Epidemic In Ekiti State(photo) by lheksban(m): 7:29am On Oct 23, 2015
At least 300 students of the Federal
Government Girls’ College in Efon Alaaye, Ekiti
State, are hospitalised after being infected with
a strange disease.
According to reports, parents have already
withdrawing their children from the school as
news of the epidemic spread on Thursday.
It was gathered that the diseased is suspected
to be Cholera, as some of the victims have been
treated and discharged, but a chunk of them
are still being treated.
Symptoms of the disease was said to have
started manifesting on October 10, and
according to the school principal, Grace
Ogunyomi, the case was reported to the state
government but no immediate action was taken
- only routine medical attention was said to
have been provided.
However, the state Governor Ayodele Fayose,
is said to have immediately directed the state
Commissioner for Health, Dr Olurotimi Ojo, to
deploy medical personnel to stop the spread of
the disease.
Mrs. Ojo dismissed reports that the disease is
cholera, he said it was diarrhea.
It was initially believed that the students’ food
must have been contaminated, but it was later
found that the source of the disease was not
from their food.
The Commissioner said, “We alerted the water
corporation to chlorinate their water. They have
about six boreholes and we have got them
chlorinated, because we knew as professionals
that the water could be a source,” he said.
“We are trying to look into their environment,
so that we can get where such could have
broken out. We want to know how they dump
their faeces and how they dump their sewage.
“We have taken the blood samples of students
infected to the hospital and preliminary test
shows that it was not cholera. It was diarrhea
and vomiting. We are sending the samples for
further test to confirm that it was not cholera.”
She assured that there is no cause for alarm as
government would ensure the situation is
