Actor Yomi Fabiyi appears to be unperturbed by the backlash he has received after he called on people not to talk down on his colleague, Baba Ijesha, who has been arrested for molesting a minor.



Shortly after the news broke that the police has arrested Baba Ijesha for molesting a minor seven years ago, Yomi came online to ask people to show empathy for the accused. He also demanded a CCTV showing how the actor molested the minor.



Several celebrities including Toke Makinwa, Iyabo Ojo, Davido, and others have come out to condemn him for his stance on the case.



Yomi appears not to be moved by the backlash, instead he shared a photo on his IG page this night and wrote;

Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has slammed Nigerians supporting actor Baba Ijesha who has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor.



The Lagos state police command last week announced Baba Ijesha’s arrest for alleged rape. Shortly after his arrest was made public, some of his colleagues as well as some Nigerians, went on social media to cast aspersion on the claim. They asked that evidence must be provided for them to believe the allegation. They made particular reference to CCTV footage showing the actor defiling the victim.



Earlier today April 28, comedienne, Princess, released a video where she disclosed that it was a child left in her care that was defiled by the actor seven years ago. A heartbroken Princess couldn’t hold back tears as she recounted how the actor allegedly defiled the victim seven years ago and how his action came to light recently. Read here.



Reacting to Princess’s video, a visibly angry Nkechi took to her Instagram page to slam her colleagues and others that have been seemingly showing support for the actor. According to her, anyone supporting the actor will have a taste of what he has done to the victim.

Davido has taken to Twitter to send a message to actor Yomi Fabiyi.



Yomi Fabiyi is the subject of controversies after he shared a number of posts sympathising with Baba Ijesha who has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl, starting from when she was 7 years old.

Yomi demanded to see evidence of the CCTV footage of Baba Ijesha sexually abusing the girl and asked his colleagues not to kick a man when he’s down.

Comedian, Princess, says her foster child is the 14-year-old girl Yoruba actor, Olarenwaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, defiled 7 years ago when she was only seven.



In an emotion-ladden video, Princess said after the crash of her marriage, some parents allowed their children, six in number, to come and live with her so she wouldn’t be lonely. She said while she was harbouring the six children, she was also rendering help to Baba Ijesha.

Princess alleged it was during one of his visits that he molested one of three girls living with her.

She said the defilement had an adverse effect on the child as she began to decline academically and otherwise.

Princess said after seven years, the girl told her and someone else what Baba Ijesha allegedly did to her. The comedienne said she called him for a meeting in her house where she set up a CCTV camera and he was captured trComedian, Princess, says her foster child is the victim actor Baba Ijesha allegedly defiled 7 years ago (video)ying to molest the girl again.

She berated people who are accusing her of trying to “tarnish his image.”

Recall that last Thursday, April 22, the Lagos state police command announced the arrest of the actor for defilement.
