CAMZY (Ama Kelechi Tony) – Biography

Ama Kelechi Tony, professionally known as CAMZY, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter celebrated for his soothing vocals, relatable lyrics, and versatile sound. Born on November 10, 2004, in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, he traces his roots to Edda, Ebonyi State.

CAMZY’s passion for music began at an early age. Drawn to singing from the age of three(3), he officially started his musical journey at eleven(11). During his secondary school years, he was part of a band that regularly performed at local events and school activities. These experiences, combined with his curiosity for different sounds, melodies, and rhythms, helped shape his artistic identity and laid the foundation for his growth as a musician.

In December 2021, CAMZY released his debut official single, “Omalicha,” introducing listeners to his distinctive style and musical vision. Since then, he has continued to develop his craft, blending emotion, creativity, and authenticity into every record.

After a five-year period of artistic growth and self-discovery, CAMZY returned with his highly anticipated EP, “CAM STATE.” The project serves as a reflection of his experiences, emotions, and evolution over the years, offering fans a deeper insight into his journey both as an artist and as an individual.
