I think Football is the only topic where so many fans are just so confidently misinformed. They think they know but in reality, they have almost zero practical knowledge about tactics. Give them a 5 aside team to coach and nothing will come out.

I see folks offline & online; nairaland, FB Twitter etc talking about tactics like cutting passing lanes, forming traingles, creating numerical advantage, positioning, high line etc.

They question everything the coach does from formation to personnel simply because they think they know.

I'm a barca fan so I'll use this scenario. For instance, when Pedri arrived, most Barca fans wanted him for the B team or loan but they preferred Puig to start playing for the first team. Koeman saw things differently. Today he's justified.

It's always funny because for these people, their only football(coaching) experience is FM(SEGA), FIFA and some other football simulation games with zero practical knowledge of the real deal.

Most never played/coach at semi professional level. In fact, some are unable to defeat FIFA(Com) without cheating(quitting) that's why FIFA made sure that once you quit(forfeit) a match, you lose 3:0 forcing them to virtually think deeper.

It's crazy but I think it's all part of the fun/beautiful game.

Give me this Brazil team, I will be up by 2:0 in the first 30Minutes against Serbia. Trust me, if I don't win the world cup I will reach finals. Let me give you tips of some of the things I would do. Danilo, Sandro, Telles, Alves would not be invited. Thiago would not start regularly. Richalison would be on the bench. Bruno Guimares would start ahead of Paqueta. I will not play 4231. 3. Pacey wingers
4. And at least one ball playing defender

Lucas Paqueta is average. Casemiro is no longer effective as before. Vinicius pacey but wasteful. Richalison not clinical. Raphinha average. Backline useless against mitrovic and tadic. I will mention you after the game
