From Training to Tools: The LIFE-ND Project in Action

The LIFE-ND Project is equipping the next generation of agri-entrepreneurs in Rivers State with the resources they need to succeed. Beyond classroom training, beneficiaries are receiving agro-inputs, starter packs, and mentorship designed to transform their ideas into thriving agribusinesses.

By bridging the gap between knowledge and practice, the project is creating opportunities for young people and women to build sustainable livelihoods, boost food production, and contribute to food security in the Niger-Delta. Each participant is not only launching a business but also becoming a catalyst for job creation, rural development, and community resilience.

With a focus on sustainability, LIFE-ND is encouraging modern farming techniques, responsible resource use, and value-chain development that ensure long-term impact. From poultry and aquaculture to crop production and agro-processing, the project is igniting a wave of innovation that will ripple across the region for years to come.

Today at the UN Food Systems Summit in Ethiopia, global leaders came together to chart a path toward inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems.

From the High-Level Opening at 7AM GMT to powerful ministerial roundtables, the focus was clear: transforming food systems for people and planet.
