Rain Gutter Prices in Nigeria
Prices of Rain Gutters in Nigeria has not been stable in the last couple of years, due to the devaluation of the currency and the exchange rate fluctuations.
We currently have 2 types of Rain Gutters in Nigerian Market:
1. American Aluminum Rain Gutters
2. Plastic/Pvc Rain Gutters.

The American Aluminum Rain Gutters is more durable and can withstand any weather conditions for a very long time to come. American Aluminum Rain Gutters does not Sag, flake or leak. this is because of the quality of accessories,sealants and also the non-compromising professional installation it required.
American Aluminum Gutters can last up to 30 years without the need to replace.

Plastic/Pvc Gutters on the other hand has a very short life span, this is due to the hot weather conditions as obtained in Nigerian environment. Hence, the effect of Thermal Expansion on the product. usually, the accessories and sealants used are mostly sub optimal coupled with a lot of quacks and non-professional installers willing to do the job without proper training. That explains why people experience a lot of leakages and cracked joints shortly after installation.
The average life span of Plastic Rain gutters is less than 5 years before leakages start to occur.

Seems these are mainly used for diverting rain water from the roof towards the ground in an orderly manner.

Why don't you extend your services to include sizeable water butts to collect and re-use this water for the sake of the environment?

Maybe even simple pumping systems to transfer such water to stanchion mounted tanks so rainwater can be used to supplement, say, non-potable water.

Just ideas that could enhance your delivery.

I'm interested and can send you my roofing layout but it's in PH oh.

Slope should be approximately ½ inch for every 10 feet of run.

Hello sir, eave is different from gutter. Eave is the underside of a roof that extends beyond the external walls of a building, while Gutter is a duct or channel beneath the eaves of a building to carry rain water. If the gutter is done with the right slope it will not retain dirt and there will not be any growth in it. Thanks

Rain gutters (also called rain water collector) provide an important channel to collect water from the roof and divert it away from the foundation of your building. Uncontrolled water can cause structural damage to a home's walls or foundation.

Typical costs:

The average residential home has anywhere from 50 to 80 meters of rain gutters, with different number of stories and amount of corners.

Having Aluminum K-style gutters installed averages about N5000 per meter, or N200,000-N250,000 for 50 meters and N400,000-N450,000 for 80 meters. Aluminum will last more than 50 years and is easy to maintain.

PVC Installed averages about N4000 per meter, or about N180,000-N230,000 for 50 meters and N380,000-N430,000 for 80 meters.
Although PVC cost less than Aluminum, it has been proven that it does not last in Nigeria weather because PVC is attacked by Ultraviolet Radiation causing the material to disintegrate after a continuous exposure to sunlight. With time PVC becomes brittle, crack, warp and sag.

What to do:
*Have the perimeter of your roof-line measured
*Get a quote
*Ask installers about their training and experience -- make sure they're not new to the field.
*Request and verify references from satisfied customers.
*Compare several quotes carefully, and be sure the quotes are for the same type and quality of materials (the material guage, sealant- use original OSI gutter sealant and the numbers of hidden hangers are very essential).
*Ensure the installer does not use binding wire to hang the gutters, it is recommended that the gutter be screwed to the fascia/parapet.
