At least seven people were killed in Russian strikes across Ukraine overnight, including five in the central city of Dnipro, where officials said an apartment building was hit.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the latest attack lasted "practically all night", while rescue workers were still searching for survivors under rubble in Dnipro on Saturday morning.

British jets were scrambled from Romania during the heavy attack when Russian drones were detected near the border, though the UK Ministry of Defence rejected a report it had shot some down.

Meanwhile, Ukraine carried out some of its longest-distance drone strikes deep inside Russian territory.

In Yekaterinburg, almost 1,000 miles (1,600km) from Ukraine's border, the governor said six people were injured when a building was struck - while in nearby Chelyabinsk, a local leader said drones targeting an industrial facility were intercepted.

Russian missiles and drones also targeted the northern city of Chernihiv, where officials said two people were killed, as well as Odesa and Kharkiv.

Ukrainian authorities said they repelled the vast majority of the more than 600 Russian drones, which appears to have been the largest attack in several days.

Zelensky wrote on social media: "The Russians' tactics have not changed: strike drones, cruise missiles, and a significant amount of ballistics.

"Most of the targets are ordinary infrastructure in cities. Residential buildings, energy, and enterprises have been damaged."

It also clarified a previous statement which incorrectly suggested that British jets based in the country had shot down Russian drones, which would have been the first incident of its kind.

It said British jets "did not enter Ukrainian airspace", and "no drones were shot down by the aircraft, because the drones did not breach Romanian airspace".

A Nato official said British Typhoon jets "had the authority to engage the potential threats", but "engagement was not required as the targets were neutralised outside Romanian airspace".

With peace talks between Russia and Ukraine at an impasse, Ukraine continues to seek international backing for its military efforts.

On Friday, Zelensky met Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the second round of talks between the pair in recent months as Ukraine seeks to broker closer ties with Gulf allies.

More than one in three young men in the UK were living with their parents in 2025, up from 26% in 2000, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The increase is being driven by high renting costs and rising house prices, recent studies suggest.

The data shows 35% of young men aged 20-35 were living with their parents - more than young women (22%), although the rate in both groups has been increasing.

In separate research, the statistics body found the rising cost of living was the most important issue facing adults, above the NHS and the economy in general.

Nathan, 24, lives with his dad in a council house just outside of Manchester.

He works night shifts cleaning and maintaining trains and says he has managed to build up a savings pot of £50,000 by not moving out of the family home.

"If you are lucky enough to live with a mum, dad or grandparent who doesn't charge you much rent, then you can build up money even on the minimum wage," he says.

He says he cooks chillis and stews to take to work, avoids impulse purchases and tries to keep spending on a night out below £20.

"I'm not that interested in getting a flashy car, spending it all on alcohol, or getting some £500 trainers," he adds.

"My dad managed to buy a house at 21, but that was just how it was back then."

The Donald Trump administration has terminated an $11 million federal contract with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami.

The development ended a long-running arrangement to shelter unaccompanied migrant children, giving the agency just three months to relocate those in its care.

The decision was communicated in late March by the Office of Refugee Resettlement, according to a report by the Miami Herald on April 15.

The exact number of children affected has not been disclosed.

The move is part of a broader immigration crackdown that has also seen the administration cut ties with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, ending a decades-long collaboration on refugee resettlement.

For years, the Office of Refugee Resettlement, under the US Department of Health and Human Services, had relied on Catholic Charities to house migrant children arriving in the U.S. without parents or guardians—effectively operating a federally funded foster care system alongside state-run services.

Yesterday,I went out to formalised my company name and started the process of getting my licence before the end of this month. I have got a place to be used as my office.

I have equally told my wife to resign from her banking work so that,we can put heads together and drive our dreams ahead. She agreed!

My brother,my side incomes has grown tremendously and now is the time to quit and focus on my future and dreams of making it very big.

I am working on a lot now,and I know I will do well more than I am doing now.

A lot is on my mind now.

I hope u will understand me. Entrepreneurship is the way forward...and without it,many govt workers would cry before retirement.

Most only earn income to feed and not to save and invest these days.
