All these people on this group voicing trash here and discouraging people from pushing for their dreams should just stop.

If you have lost hope don't come here looking for people to recruit to join you. We are not going to be discouraged.

Guys keep pushing, add more effort, work on your application, get into US with your student visa and start your education first, then push from their if you desire to stay back.

Don't allow anybody discourage you with their trash talk.

When it comes to schooling, US is the best and they offer you lots of assistantship and scholarship. Fully funded and partly funded scholarship that you can't get in most countries.

So keep pushing guys when we get to that bridge of visa and permanent stay in the US we will cross it.

I will advice anyone going for interview to please prepare properly, the system is not friendly at all.
For those asking what this new visa ban has on Nigerians, it's very simple.. Nigerians will not be able to immigrate to USA on any conditions, even after your studies and you get a job and your status changes to H1-b you will not still be able to apply for a green card. Also we are banned from the lottery system as well. In my opinion USA is far fetched and does not want Nigerians migrating or immigrating in anyway.

Are you trying to say that people can no longer stay back in the US after graduating even if they get a permanent job?

Hi, just keep sending them email from time to time that you're interested in funding. I applied to Bowling Green too but a different department last year. I got admitted in February but didn't get funding until June or so. So keep hoping and sending email

Did you accept the offer i.e are you there now or you chose a different school. And what was the nature of the assistantship they offered you. Also did you apply for any scholarship given by the school.

Funding decision usually comes by first/second week of February... (My GC told me that)

ok. for clarity. you mean you are currently in contact with your GC (BGSU) and he/she said that funding comes during the period you mentioned above. Did you have to request for it?

I got an offer from Bowling green state uni, but yet to here from them about any funding. In the offer email they said I should contact my program coordinator, please I need help on how best to present this.

My course is Architecture.

Generally, what's your thought on bowling green state university.

Please, in the application portal, they requested for certificate and diploma. So I want to ask for those that have applied and gained admission, can you use your statement of result in place of the certificate and diploma, because we know in Nigeria that's what you get for sometime before your certificate is ready for pick up.?
I need an urgent answer from anyone that have been successful in this process. Thanks..
