iamoyindamola: I was wondering how he want to sell the router Because it's somewhat free just regular subscription, Airtel have the right to reclaim the device once the subscription is not forthcoming again People don’t research, else they’d realize buying from Airtel is better. |

BigDickProblems: I mean your battery and all your solar usage; how do you guys share it with the landlord. Since you said the landlord connected the solar all by himself and asked you to pay for connection fee or so. Bassdow explained it. Each apartment has separate panels provided by landlord. Tenant to sort out inverter and battery individually. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lilachiever(m): 10:42am On Oct 17, 2025 |
bassdow: Already, I understood what He meant the first time he said the landLord paid for them. More like the Landlord bought and paid for only the Solar panels. That way, except something goes wrong with the Solar panels, there would never be a need to climb the roof or (un)install any solar panel even if said apartment gets rented out to 100 different tenants.
in other words, when any tenant comes in, they either Pay to use said Solar panel, or they don't and while Packing, there's no need to climb the roof because the SOlar panels don't belong to them.
If any tenant want to use Solar, they must use that one that's installed by the LandLord - they just need buy their own Inverter, battery, and other things EXCEPT Solar panels as it's already provided by the landLord. Look at it like a serviced apartment; just that now, it's just the Soolar panels. You’re on point. |

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lilachiever(m): 2:01pm On Oct 16, 2025 |
FEGEITOK: So your landlord bought the panels, technically those panels are the landlord's not yours.
Did you have to pay extra?
What of the cabling and the installation? I sha paid what he termed "connection fee". One-off payment no matter how long I am resident for. Na Nigerian electricity scenario cause this sha. |

|
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lilachiever(m): 11:47am On Oct 16, 2025 |
Valto: not really . go ahead and use it mildly. don't rearrange anything , your inverter is a high pv voltage inverter. The inverter was reading that Error. The inverter is maxed at 500v while panels were reading 525-530V |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lilachiever(m): 11:46am On Oct 16, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang: If you have an 8 panel limit, why not just buy 600w+ panels? I didn’t buy. Landlord did. |

460 watts in an age of 600 to 700 watts is short changing yourself I had no control over the choice of panels. Na landlord do him thing as he no want make people commot am if dem Dey go so dem no go spoil him roof. |

Just installed 6KVA Growatt Inverter and 15KWH LVTOPSUN. To be powered by grid and 8*460W panels. Na number of panels wey landlord gree install so I no get choice.
Panels were reading high voltage cos they were connected in singles series before, installer coming to re-arrange on a 4P*2S mode later.
I Dey pray make I no get issue. Cos na borrow borrow money I use do am.
Quick question. Do I need to charge fully before using the battery? It came 51% out of box and charged to 56% before NEPA carry light. |

RickyM: Although itel not tested yet but…You don’t want to trust a company who put a tag of 314Ah on a 280Ah battery pack. They do not give a damn about their reputation IMO. It’s the same reason why someone (DIY) sold me a pack of 50Ah cells when in fact we agreed on 200Ah cells and even when I gave him the chance to redeem himself, he still went ahead to replace it with 80Ah cells instead of the 100Ah he promised as replacement! Make una Dey put names so new comers can avoid abeg. |

ask4bk: 8 x ZN 605W Bifacial N-Type Solar Panel (fouani or any other 555-590w) - 8 x 110,000 = 880,000 Growatt 6kW inverter - 600k 10kwh from brands that have confirm 10kwh is around 2.1m like Firman. But you add 200k you'll get 16kwh of confirm quality batteries from Valto 2.3m. Or you get 15kwh same quality from Mrreed for 1.6m only that his has no communication ports and DC breaker, which are not necessary features and cheaper at 1.6m over that of Valto that is 600k costlier with breaker and communication ports. 😭😭. I'm sure you are asking same questions with me about why he can't reduce price too. Only that Mrreed often runs out of cells cuz of people rushing him.
Total cost = 3.1m to 3.8m.
Make your choice Thank you so much for the break down my Oga. I go come back if I have more question. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lilachiever(m): 8:41pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
ask4bk: If you want to go for 48v which is mostly advised, just overkill it will a 10kwh battery backup and 5kva inverter of your choice, then panels to charge.
If you want to go cheaper, you can go for 24v system and have 7-8kwh backup, 3-3.5kva inverter and panels. But this isn't advised coz tomorrow you may want to add load and you'll stay at home more and you won't have option than to move to 48v to reduce current. Hi boss. Could you suggest reliable brands of inverter, battery and PV for a 5KVA and 10KWh Lithium battery setup for a total installation budget of 3.5M? Will appreciate. |

Jakarta: The prevalent band in my area is band D. Private individuals bought electric poles recline cables spanning kilometres, and transformers, to bring in band A to the area. If you as a resident wants to switch to that band, you pay them, by your recline cables and meter. It's a huge business in my area currently. Oh. I guess this is what they are trying to do in my area. Makes sense. |

Jakarta: I spent around 500k switching to BAND A early last year, I average around 50k for electricity bill. A friend called it reckless spending, that solar is the way. He spent around 3m installing solar, loaded batteries on his corridor like CNG tanks on Dangote trailer. He dares not power on his refrigerator, water heater, or hot plate. As it stands his batteries and solar panels are currently for sale. I"m yet to spend 2.5M even after a year+ Nothing beats Band A. How did you switch to band A? I thought people just use the Band associated with the area they live? |

Betnomore: Haier thermocool is probably the best for anything cooling in regards to the electricity we have in Naija. But you have to be careful of the inverter cooling products. Like the 1st generation 1.5hp inverter AC and above are not that good. The 1hp is terrific. The newest generation don't have that issue. If you're buying anything inverter cooling products for Haier thermocool, make sure it's the latest generation or the last before the latest one and you're covered. Non inverter products no issue, u can even buy ancestor's generation it will work fine. I use 3 1.5hp Haier thermocool inverter AC and it's been a blast Thanks a lot. |

By the way.......never use Shopfloor display for TV as the true justification for buying a new unit. For so e reason I think there is some enhancement they use on the floor. The pictures are never the same when the T.V gets home. Thanks. But I think I can trust this particular store’s display. They had Hisense on display too and one can tell the difference obviously. |
