Supporting port development elsewhere is, in fact, a very sound strategy for Nigeria. Decentralization would not diminish Lagos's relevance but would enhance national capacity, reduce catastrophic congestion, create thousands of jobs across multiple regions, and ultimately increase total port throughput and economic activity by attracting new business and investment that the current overburdened system discourages. A functional multi port system would strengthen, not weaken, Nigeria's overall maritime economy. |
Is remote work an option for these positions? Are the roles fully on-site? realtechmayor: |
This is a welcome development, as Senator Moreno's bill rightly recognizes that exclusive allegiance is fundamental to true citizenship, and it would powerfully deter our Nigerian professionals and public servants from shamelessly plundering our nation's wealth to secure a foreign safety net, a practice that not only drains our resources but also encourages them to funnel stolen money abroad to educate their children and establish entire families overseas, thereby perpetuating a crippling brain drain and capital flight that leaves our country impoverished while they enjoy the rewards of their theft in comfort. To ensure these people/children are not f***** up in the future, there must be a concerted, funded, and accountable lifelong psychosocial support system. The Borno State Government, as the primary duty bearer, must lead this effort by naming a specific office or agency as the accountable body, allocating a transparent budget for it, and partnering with competent organizations under a clear, public contract. The pressure to do this must come from citizens, the media, and the conscience of the nation. |
Causing online nuisance and disturbance should be a crime in Nigeria because I don't see why all this their private life should be made public when they will finally decide privately on how to handle it so why is it a public issue |

Selective Justice need to stop in Nigeria it is time everyone is equal in the face of the law whether you are rich or you are poor if you commit a crime you face the law |
The announcement of plans to commence aircraft component manufacturing is a bold and strategic vision, though it raises practical questions. Nigeria does not need to produce whole aircraft to engage in component manufacturing. The global aerospace industry operates on complex supply chains, where specialized factories in various countries produce specific partssuch as avionics, interior panels, landing gear components, or wiring harnesses for major OEMs like Boeing and Airbus. Nigeria's entry point would likely begin with simpler, non-critical parts or through partnerships, such as the one with Boeing for MRO facilities, which could evolve into licensed production of certain components. This initiative, if focused on leveraging local materials and engineering talent, can create a niche in the global market, reduce the $200 million spent on overseas maintenance, and build a foundational ecosystem for higher value aerospace manufacturing in the future. Regarding the projected surge in passenger traffic and revenue, this is a credible forecast driven by current realities. The deplorable state of many Nigerian roads and rising security concerns have made air travel not just a preference but a necessity for safe and efficient middle class and business travel. This shift is already evident, as more people allocate funds to flights despite higher costs. Consequently, airline ticket sales, airport taxes, and ancillary services are poised to grow significantly. |

My brother, sorry to talk, but it look like you no even get the point at all. Nobody dey talk about making anybody above the law. We dey talk about the collateral damage wey this action cause. Where you dey see "equality for law," we dey see economy for trouble. The anger wey dey your own comment, I no even know where e come from. This matter no be about "comply or no comply." E be about how government policy fit wound an entire market and scatter people wey just dey try to do their business. You talk say "perfect your title," but the main problem na say BANKS DON DEY REFUSE LAND DOCUMENTS ALTOGETHER. Na so e serious! I go say the title even need upgrade Abi you think say businesses na magic wey dem dey run? You think say people just get millions for pocket to do business? NO! Most business dey run on loan. And how you go get loan? Na to use your asset, like your land or your house, as collateral for bank. Na so the money dey enter the economy, business dey run, turnover dey happen, and loan dey pay back. Now, if bank no dey collect land again, how business go survive? How person go expand? Where the money go come from? This policy just dey cut the oxygen wey the economy dey breathe. E dey take money comot from people pocket directly. BondRiv: |

While the PDP's statement on the ambassadorial appointment raises a valid and critical point about democratic integrity, it is impossible to analyze their position without acknowledging their own profound failures and the irony of their holier than thou posture. |

My people, I need to talk about this palava wey dey for Abuja land and houses. E dey do me strong thing and I know say I no be the only one wey dey feel am. This cancellation of land titles by the FCT Minister don throw everybody for confusion. Fear dey catch everyone. If dem fit cancel land for big big people like former first ladies and ministers, then who be me? Who be you? E mean say no paper for your hand dey 100% safe. Because of this wahala, the value of property for Abuja just dey fall commot for eye. See wetin I dey talk: I invest 29 million Naira for one property. As this trouble start, the best offer wey I see so far na 26 million. Na to dey cry remain! The worst part be say the banks don comot their hand from the whole matter. Bank no dey collect land documents as collateral again. Even if your house worth 1 billion naira, you no go fit take am collect small money for bank. The market don just freeze comot. I no be politician. I no be government worker. I be just one Nigerian wey dey try to invest my money. But now, because of this uncertainty, my money dey for soup. Government need to do something quick quick. Make dem show us clear way forward and make our mind comot for fear. If not, this suffering for landowners like you and me go just continue. Abi I lie? Make una talk am, who don affect for this matter? |
This REno appointment just let me know say all this people no send us at all |
Personal this is very frustrating to me the widespread cancellation of land titles by the FCT Minister has created massive uncertainty and fear in the Abuja real estate market. When highprofile individuals, including former presidents wives and ministers, are affected, it signals to every buyer and bank that no title is completely safe. This has directly caused the value of properties, personally I am being affected by this. And I am not a politician/ government worker. My experience is a perfect example of the policy's real world impact. The fact that banks are now refusing land documents as collateral has frozen the market. Bank no dey give money again for Abuja even if you get house worth 1 billion naira. I was offer of 26 million on a property where I've invested 29 million is a significant loss, directly caused by this crisis. Until the government provides clear resolutions and restores confidence in the system, this damaging uncertainty for landowners like me and you is likely to continue. ebukal67x: |

Please tell us what value you have personally added to the society Note: this is can/will never make any sense to you, if you have never carried out your own personal research. I challenge you to a simple research task Go out and ask 20 Nigerians about a major event happening in the country. Listen carefully. You'll likely notice that everyone is sharing the same narrative, passed from one person to the next. Now, here's the key moment. Ask them Where did you get this information? What's your source so I can verify it? This one question can reveal the foundation of my collective knowledge. True understanding begins when we seek out primary sources and verify information for ourselves. I guess you no nothing about this. Education can never be a scam. Doesn't mean that all Education are valid SpencerForbes: |
