Do I have to get another dish and decoder to get those stations? I already have one old Strong decoder that's been lying idle since it stopped FTA.

MYTV FTA is mainly for any Christian stations.

MBC is for action movies and other interesting channels.

JOYTV is for ghana stations and some Christians channels as well.

The one in hotel is different.

Hotel connections contains multiple decoders linked together and transmit over coaxial cable.

The remote sensor I'm talking about is the one that allows you to have access to control the decoder in the living room in your master bedroom.

The small device with antenna is called "remote sensor"

yes, option 2. is exactly what i mean sir. i observed this in some hotels i have slept in, i can comfortably switch channels using the tv remote whereas the decoder is not in the room. is that remote sensor a device?

There's no decoder be it DSTV decoders or free to air decoders as of now that will give you that function you are requesting for or that will allow you to watch 2 different channels at a go in different location.


You have two options to achieve this, thus.

1. Either you have 2 decoders (one in living room and one in your master bedroom.
2. Make use of remote sensor. (A remote sensor allows you to change a channel from a decoder in another location, Eg: you can change channel from your room while your is in living room.
NB: whatever chanel you change to will also change in living room where the decoder is.

It does not have that function.
I don't there's still a decoder that does that. Apart from Dstv old pvr decoder.


But you can disecq this decoder by adding two different satellite on a decoder.

It's FTA(Free To Air) no subscription with zero sports station. If you can afford DStv getting this is a total waste of space.
