They are, however, unbeaten in their last five European matches but have only kept one clean sheet in six Europa League home matches this season. Manchester United are unbeaten in eight Europa League matches but Jose Mourinho is without a number of players and will struggle to pick a back four on Thursday. In Spain, United have only won two of 22 matches against Spanish opposition. Mourinho's side have drawn both of their last two away matches in the competition and will have a difficult evening on Thursday. Neither side are in particuarly great shape coming into the first leg, for differing reasons, and this match could end in a draw. [img][img]

Everton winger Aaron Lennon has been detained under the Mental Health Act amid concern for his welfare. The 30-year-old, who has 21 caps for England, was taken to hospital on Sunday to be assessed after officers were called to a road in Salford. His club confirmed that he was currently undergoing treatment for a stress-related illness. Lennon has not featured for the Toffees since 11 February, when he came off the bench at Middlesbrough to make his 13th appearance of the season. Following a report from the Daily Mail on Tuesday night, Everton released a statement which read: “Aaron Lennon is currently receiving care and treatment for a stress-related illness. “The club is supporting him through this and his family has appealed for privacy at this time.”

Tyson Fury has said he could beat Anthony Joshua with “one arm tied behind my back” and without a warm-up fight. After stopping Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th round during Saturday night’s blockbuster showdown at Wembley Stadium, Joshua proceeded to call out British rival Fury who immediately accepted the challenge via social media. Fury has since congratulated the WBA and IBF champion on his Wembley win but insisted he would regain two of his old world titles by subjecting Joshua to his first professional defeat. What is your opinion concerning this statement from Tyson Fury?

The owner of the launderette where heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua has an open tab of around £120 has said the boxer has a "heart of gold". Muqeem Bakhtari, known locally as Max, said "joker" Joshua was a still regular at his launderette, in Golders Green, north London, near the ex-council flat where the fighter still lives with his mum. The 27-year-old's victory over two-time world champion Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000 people at Wembley on Saturday has earned him £15 million but he has not forgotten his unpaid bill. Asked at the post-fight press conference if he was "ready for those people outside the Launderette" after his biggest win to date, Joshua said: "I've got to pay my debt there, number one. I've got a bill like that big (gesturing with his thumb and forefinger on his left hand). Hopefully he'll swerve it. "I'm a people's person, on the estate, there was loads of us anyway so it's pretty chilled. Everyone in the arena, I probably know 20,000 of these people. It's crazy, I'm a local boy. So it's no different, it's no problem. As long as I'm not late for training I don't mind the attention."

Kyle Walker, left on the bench again yesterday, has decided that his future lies away from Tottenham Hotspur. Barcelona have joined Manchester City and Manchester United in pursuit of the right-back and Walker, having fallen out with Mauricio Pochettino once again over fitness and selection, wants to leave. Pochettino and Daniel Levy are in no rush to sell any of their players but if any of the Spurs first team are to be sold this summer then Walker is the likeliest. He would cost at the very least £35million, if not closer to £50m, money which would be invested back into the team and ensure Spurs do not need to sell their crown jewels Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Danny Rose.

Team News Bayer Leverkusen Jonathan Tah could return from a long-term injury to replace Aleksandar Dragovic at centre-back. ![]() Kai Havertz is expected to miss this match having not trained regularly this week as he is taking his A levels. ![]() Stefan Kießling and Chicharito both have a chance of starting up front. ![]() Schalke 04 Manager Markus Weinzierl will most likely switch back to a 4-2-3-1 here, with second striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar expected to drop back to the bench. ![]() Matija Nastasic could return from a muscle injury to replace Holger Badstuber at centre-back. ![]() Leon Goretzka should return from a concussion as well to start in central midfield. ![]() Match Facts Leverkusen have drawn their last 3 home matches (Bundesliga). Leverkusen Draw Leverkusen have seen under 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 7 home matches against Schalke in all competitions. Under 2.5 Leverkusen are undefeated in their last 5 matches against Schalke in all competitions. Leverkusen Win/Draw Prediction Leverkusen have been drawn into the relegation battle following a 2-1 defeat at Freiburg last weekend. They have only won one of their last nine Bundesliga matches and new manager Tayfun Korkut has not been able to turn things around, with the European places now further away than the relegation play-off spot. Schalke have struggled this season and sit only two points ahead of Leverkusen in the table. A four-point gap is currently separating them from seventh spot, which could be enough to qualify for the Europa League if Dortmund win the DFB-Pokal final. Expect this to be an intense game from the outset, with both teams in desperate need of a result.

Gian Piero Gasperini will be able to field his favourite XI against the Serie A leaders. ![]() Mattia Caldara was signed by Juventus in January but will be free to play against the Old Lady here. ![]() Juventus Despite the fact Juventus play the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Monaco next week, Max Allegri has confirmed he will play a full strength side against Atalanta on Friday. ![]() Sami Khedira is expected to play the full game here due to the fact he is suspended for the first-leg of their Champions League clash with Monaco. ![]() Miralem Pjanic was rested against Genoa last weekend and will provide fresh legs against Atalanta tomorrow. ![]() Daniele Rugani took a hit in training and won't be risked, while Moise Kean and Mark Pjaca are also sidelined. ![]() Match Facts Juventus have won their last 14 matches against Atalanta in all competitions. Juventus Win Juventus have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 6 matches against Atalanta in all competitions. Juventus Win/Win Atalanta are undefeated in their last 8 home matches (Serie A). Atalanta Win/Draw There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Juventus's last 7 away games (Serie A). Under 2.5 Prediction Atalanta almost blew a two-goal lead at home to Bologna last week but were bailed out by another goal from centre-back Mattia Caldara late on. They are are showing the determination required to finish in one of the European positions. There is never any questions about the determination of Juventus. They thrashed Genoa 4-0 in the last round to make it 17 wins from 17 at home in the league this season. Juventus manager Max Allegri has clearly identified Atalanta as a serious opponent, hence why he will field his strongest side despite the fact they play Monaco next week. He'd like to get his best players off early but this match might go all the way.

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Juventus winger Kingsley Coman on a permanent deal from Juventus. Coman has been with the German champions for two years after joining on a two-year loan deal from Juve and with the deal set to expire in the summer, Bayern exercised their option to sign the Frenchman. The 20-year-old has already won domestic titles in three different countries, having started his career at Paris Saint-Germain and was thought to be a target for Manchester City, having played under Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena. And while Bayern could just be signing Coman to sell him to City for an inflated fee, chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed his desire to see the winger at the club for a long time.

Alexis Sanchez posted a picture on his Twitter page shortly after Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Leicester City to reveal a cut and swollen lip that the Chile international apparently suffered during the match, but there is far more to the forward’s game than simply cutting the inside of his mouth. Sanchez has been roundly criticised after video replays showed the Arsenal striker being hit on the shoulder by a Christian Fuchs throw-in, only to then walk off before throwing himself theatrically to the ground, clutching his face. The incident, which took place late in the match at the Emirates Stadium, echoed the one that involved Brazil great Rivaldo during the 2002 World Cup match against Turkey when he was struck by the ball on the knee, only to collapse comically in a heap holding his head. Rivaldo was fined £1,000 for his play-acting, though Sanchez may not face any retrospective action as the ball appeared to flick up into his cheek after making contact with his shoulder. Despite video evidence not reflecting well on Sanchez, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger leapt to his defence after the match, though accepted that he deserved the yellow card he received for not standing in the right position at the time of the throw-in. Sanchez took to Twitter after the match to post two pictures of himself inside the Arsenal changing room, one of which showed a cut on his lip and the other seeing him holding ice on his face. The Chile international added the caption: “Happy for the victory but ended up with a swollen lip.”

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has questioned the “cautious” mentality of modern footballers which he claims has led to defenders Chris Smalling and Phil Jones failing to play through pain for the club in Thursday night’s Manchester derby. In his third veiled criticism of the England international pair in a week, Mourinho said that in “professional football at a high level” players were not willing to put their bodies on the line, leaving him to depend on 23-year-old Eric Bailly to play his 10th consecutive match in the injury depleted defence, against Manchester City. Mourinho, who has publicly questioned his players throughout a season in which his side find themselves a point behind fourth placed City with six to play yet but a far harder run-in, said that the two defenders’ failure to heed his plea to be “brave” did not mean they would be out of the door at the end of the season. “It’s not just about them,” he said. “It’s about the philosophy and mentality around them. It’s not just about them and you know we go with the players we have.” Asked to define the ‘philosophy’, he replied: “Cautious. Cautious. Cautious. Just a cautious approach. It’s a profile. It’s the philosophy of work. Just that.” What do you think?

Tottenham Hotspur’s season was 12 minutes from ending here at Selhurst Park when Christian Eriksen brilliantly kept it alive. Spurs were heading for a 0-0 that would have been the only fair reflection of this drab flat match. One point would have left Spurs waking up on Thursday morning six points behind with five points left. They would have needed, at the bare minimum, for Antonio Conte’s side to lose two of those five games to have any chance of winning the title. It would have been the low-key end to their title run, far less dramatic and traumatic than last year’s blow-out at Stamford Bridge. But that is not how it turned out, not in the end. Harry Kane, struggling for answers, passed the ball to Eriksen, in space 35 yards from goal. There was no obvious pass on so Eriksen touched the ball out in front of himself and whipped it right-footed towards the far bottom corner of the goal. Wayne Hennessey is a tall goalkeeper but he did not realise what was happening quickly enough and did not get down in time. His dive was too slow, the ball whistled past his outstretched arm and into the bottom corner of the net. That is why Eriksen is known as ‘golazo’ at Spurs’ training ground. He is a creative genius, as he showed with his wonderful assist for Dele Alli at Wembley on Saturday, but he also has a gift for brilliant goals. It was a strike of audacity and precision, one that of all the players on the pitch, only Eriksen could have successfully scored.

The IBF heavyweight title is on the line on Saturday night as home favourite Anthony Joshua prepares to go toe-to-toe with Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium, London, in the most anticipated heavyweight bout in recent memory. Will Joshua maintain the unbeaten start to his professional career or can Klitschko bounce back from his defeat to Tyson Fury and re-establish himself as the undisputed heavyweight champ? We take a look at what the experts are saying: This could go one of many ways, but if I had to guess right I would say Joshua’s going to bang him out, he’ll just have too much for him. He’s big and strong, and has the youth and ambition at 27 years old, which could prove decisive. But Klitschko is in position where his whole legacy is at stake and it’s Wembley stadium, it’s probably his last fight. He talks about being obsessed and all these things are bad news for Joshua. His lack of experience at world level could see him getting outboxed and outpointed, and shown up to be every bit the novice that he is. If Klitshcko is as motivated and obsessed with this fight as he says he is, then he can be a real threat. Assuming Klitschko goes in with the mindset of leaving no stone unturned because his legacy is at stake, then he has a chance. That said, I expect Joshua to win by knockout, but not early. He will win with educated pressure, not just swinging wildly and missing because Klitschko will make him miss - he's been knocked out a few times and doesn’t like getting hit. He’s scared now, and even though he fights well behind his jab, if Joshua can put him under pressure with his feet without overworking and overloading himself then by rounds seven, eight and nine Klitschko should be showing every year of his 41-year-old body. I expect Joshua to win, but I can see how Klitshcko can beat him.

Team News Crystal Palace Mamadou Sakho missed the 2-1 win at Liverpool due to stipulations with his loan deal, but is set to return here. ![]() Sam Allardyce is without injured trio Connor Wickham, Scott Dann and Pape Souare, while Lois Remy is lacking match fitness. ![]() James Tomkins has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle issue, with Martin Kelly set to start alongside Sakho. ![]() Tottenham Son Heung-min started at left wing-back against Chelsea, but he's unlikely to feature here, with Ben Davies in line to return to the XI. ![]() Kyle Walker could also return to the team having started the FA Cup loss on the bench, with Kieran Trippier dropping out of the side. ![]() Erik Lamela, Harry Winks and Michel Vorm are all sidelined, while the midweek trip to Palace comes too soon for Danny Rose. ![]() Match Facts Tottenham have won their last 7 matches (Premier League). Tottenham Win Tottenham have scored at least 2 goals in their last 7 matches (Premier League). Over 1.5 Crystal Palace have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches (Premier League). Over 1.5 Tottenham have been winning at both half time and full time in 5 of their last 7 matches (Premier League). Tottenham WIN/WIN Prediction A 2-1 win at Liverpool means Crystal Palace have lost just one of their last eight, with the Eagles claiming wins against the Reds, Chelsea and Arsenal. They'll look to throw another spanner in the works in the race for a top-4 finish with the welcome of Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to see his side bounce back after the disappointing 4-2 FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea and get back to winning ways before Sunday's north London derby. They have won their last three against the Eagles in the Premier League, but will face an uphill task to overcome Palace. That being said, Spurs have impressed where required, particularly away from home of late, and could sneak a vital three points in midweek.

Who you rather bet on? Lionsbet offers bet odds. Team News Arsenal Arsene Wenger may tinker with the side that was taken all the way to extra-time by Manchester City in their FA Cup semi-final win on Sunday. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a slight doubt after picking up a minor injury at Wembley at the weekend and will require assessment. This could earn Hector Bellerin a recall to the starting XI after dropping to the bench in recent matches. Kieran Gibbs could also replace Nacho Monreal on the other flank. ![]() A thigh injury is expected to keep Shkodran Mustafi out once again, which will benefit Rob Holding with another chance to impress here. ![]() Francis Coquelin will also be looking for minutes in midfield against Leicester, while Danny Welbeck could return to the side at the expense of Olivier Giroud. ![]() Leicester Craig Shakespeare will hope to have Wes Morgan available again after he was forced off in the second leg of their Champions League meeting against Atletico Madrid with a hamstring problem nearly 10 days ago. ![]() Islam Slimani has been ruled out for the trip to London with a groin injury, while the Leicester manager has confirmed Nampalys Mendy will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing ankle surgery. ![]() Match Facts Arsenal have won their last 6 home matches against Leicester in all competitions. Arsenal WIN There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal's last 6 games (Premier League). Over 2.5 Arsenal have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 6 home matches against Leicester in all competitions. Over 2.5 Arsenal are undefeated in 13 of their last 14 home matches (Premier League). Arsenal W/D Prediction Arsenal will be confident ahead of the reception of the reigning Premier League champions after overcoming Manchester City to reach the FA Cup final at the weekend. However, they were taken to extra-time and there will be some tired legs towards the end of this match. Leicester, by contrast, will almost have had 10 days rest by the time this match starts and will be looking to continue their league resurgence under Craig Shakespeare on Wednesday. The Foxes have won five of their last seven league matches but are winless in their last two, although they coincided with their Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid. The Gunners have won each of their last three home matches against Leicester 2-1 and a repeat scoreline could be on the cards once again for Arsene Wenger's men as they look to continue their good run of results. Who you rather bet on? Lionsbet offers bet odds.

Newcastle Team News: Top scorer Dwight Gayle again misses out as he continues to manage a hamstring injury. Defender Ciaran Clark is closer to a return, having trained with the squad after a knee problem. Winger Rolando Aarons is sidelined, while Jack Colback, Yoann Gouffran, Ayoze Perez and Aleksandar Mitrovic will all hope for recalls. Preston Team News: Left-back Greg Cunningham suffered a fractured leg on Easter Monday against Norwich, joining skipper Tom Clarke on the sidelines. Defender Alex Baptiste and midfielder Ben Pearson remain suspended On-loan Everton full-back Tyias Browning is close to a return but Calum Woods and John Welsh remain out. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Preston's last 7 games (Championship). Newcastle have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Preston in all competitions. Predictions: Newcastle's woeful end of season form - one point from their last three games and only two wins in eight - has seen the title slip from their grasp, but they can still earn automatic promotion with two more victories. Preston have lost their last three, ruling them out of a late bid for the play-offs, but they will hope to fair better than their last visit to St. James' Park - a 6-0 defeat in the League Cup in October.

You may bloody him and bruise him, but you will not stop him. Two strikes from Lionel Messi, including a curling winner with the last kick of the game, hauled Barcelona back into the title race on a night where Real Madrid had, for six heady minutes, appeared to have secured the championship. Madrid’s late equalizer, glanced home at the near post by James Rodriguez, would have been enough for 2-2 and the maintenance of a points buffer that was unlikely to ever disappear. Few celebrated as wildly as Sergio Ramos, who was sent off for a two-footed lunge on Messi minutes earlier - the latest in a catalogue of assaults on the Argentine. Undeterred, Mateo Kovacic tried his own hack on Messi and was booked moments afterwards. The strategy was not to be abandoned. But with James’ goal came the feeling that it was done. The title was sealed. Barring a complete collapse Real Madrid had won La Liga. Only a miracle could stop them. That miracle was Lionel Messi, surviving 95 minutes’ worth of battering and beasting to curl home a left-footed strike in the dying seconds. It was a goal to settle any title race, but whether it proves to be such a strike will only become clear down the line - right after those bruises heal and the teeth are replaced. Barcelona now on 1.55 odds to win the league. Win here lionsbetdotcom

LeBron James stuck to the old script Sunday. Again, he bailed out the Cleveland Cavaliers. And again, he sent the Indiana Pacers home for vacation. On yet another milestone day for basketball’s king, James’ crowning achievement was making the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:08 to play and helping the defending champions hold on for a series-clinching 106-102 victory at Indiana. ”You have to mentally challenge yourself every year and go out and try to do what’s right – putting your body on the line, putting your team on the line and trying to be successful,” James said. ”It’s very hard.” But the four-time MVP makes it look easy. He finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. By winning his 21st consecutive first-round game, James broke a tie with Michael Cooper, Magic Johnson and James Worthy for the longest streak under the NBA’s current playoff format. By sweeping a series for the 10th time, James broke a tie with Tim Duncan for the most in a career, according to Elias Sports Bureau. By going 13-of-25 from the field, he pulled into a tie with Kobe Bryant for the fourth-highest postseason field-goal total with 2,014. Place your bet on Cavalier to win NBA Title on Lionsbetdotcom

And then there were four. After a dramatic set of quarter-finals only the best four teams in Europe remain with a place in the showpiece final in Cardiff now only two games away. Real Madrid survived an epic two-legged to and fro with Bayern Munich thanks to some typical Herculean Cristiano Ronaldo heroics while city rivals Atletico join them after seeing off a stubborn Leicester over two legs. Juventus produced a defensive masterclass to beat Barcelona and keep Leo Messi and Co scoreless over both legs while Monaco became the fourth team in the hat with a hugely impressive win over Borussia Dortmund. All that remains to be decided is who is going to play who for a place in June's final. You so sure who will win Europe most precious trophy? Take your chances with Lionsbet
