What's you daily average generation with this single panel? Thanks hoover420: Hello guys, I have a 1.5kVA Haisic inverter with one 535W Jinko bifacial panel installed. The single panel is not generating enough power to fully charge the battery during the day, so I still rely heavily on grid power to top it up. I want to add another panel, but I can no longer find the exact 535W Jinko bifacial model I bought. My question is, can I add a different panel (for example, monocrystalline panel) to work together with the existing Jinko bifacial one, or must I use the exact same 535W Jinko bifacial model? |

😂😂 I use my 2100 maxi induction cooker on my 12v 1.5kva haisic inverter, and it runs efficiently without problems, I follow the pattern a colleague mentioned earlier, I use the 1000w settings for few minutes to get whatever I'm cooking to start boiling, and use 800w for the rest of the cooking. Fast and efficient. Note that, to do this, you should have at least 16mm cable from ya battery to inverter, cus you'll be pulling close to 90a. You're right... And it's even been proven that, it's best to run them above 800w, as this reduces distortion and reduced stress on the power mosfet/igbt. osayuwamwen: is this not infrared ? for clarity purposes on the induction cooker,1000watt on the induction cooker is actually 1000watt my refrigerator and fan was on that was what make it 1.3kw, but once the induction cooker is set below 1000watt the actual power draw will be fluctuating btw below the power set and above the power set on the induction cooker like example when u set at 800watt the actual power will fluctuate BTW 716watt to 1.1kw |

Shit, I don't even have solar panel yet, I depend only on grid.... I use it days and night. I've got large battery bank tho.. hoover420: Maybe I’ll just go for the maxi to avoid stories that touch. Also do you use the cooker at night or only during the day when the sun is out? |

Inverter doesn't connect ya battery directly to grid, so far the input VAC is within the inverter parameter, the inverter internal circuitry will do its thing, converting the input ac to dc, to charge ya battery. Charge current might be lower compared to when you have AC input btw 200-240VAC Icent99: thank you very much, because after a few research i learnt the inverter actually sets the charging parameters to the battery and not the direct grid parameters |

I also face challenge here, grid gets as low as 110v at times, ND I charge my battery with it effectively, so far it's within your inverter input voltage range, most inverters can go as low as 70VAC, the only thing you might experience is, the charging current might not be up to what's set. From what I can see here, it's seems to be a transformer type inverter, and the caps are the DC bus caps, as you've confirmed, it can still be working, but you'll face challenge when you want to power high power load, and this can in turn damage your transistors/igbt. Burnt cap and be due to aging or long exposure to over/high current, it's best you take it to a repair centre, where they'll fix whatever needs to be fixed. Well, it all depends on the guy's financial capacity..... But, I can assure you that out of 100 power banks and phones plugged, only 40% will be pulling the stated 25w, maybe 50% max, if you're in a student area where they use better phones and "better charger" cus you can have a device that supports fast charger, if you're using wrong cable or adaptor, max you'll be pulling is 10w. If it's that 2kw inverter the guy can afford, let him go for it...I believe theres always a way to manage situations. Unfaized: You don't get the point bro.
2kva = 1.6kw because majority of inverters available have a power factor of 0.8
If the average rating of chargers is at 25w (x),(My powerbank charger is 150w), and number of phones & powerbanks (n), whenever n=100, x=2.5kw(+ or -) minus other loads. This will happen many times during the day.
With 4.2kva you're safe coz it's basically 3.5kw, which means you have more than enough room. Anything smaller, you must need to upgrade in a very short time coz your inverter will continue to shutdown many times due to overload.
As for total energy draw, that's a different case entirely dependent on solar yield and battery bank. Some chargers are smart and only pulls max rating between 1-80% & will continuously adjust based on temperature and other factors. |

You meant total energy that'll be consumed after full charge of those devices, right? I believe inverter capacity will be choosen based on the load max continuous power consumption + breathing room for the inverter. brightk: . I was speaking in terms of energy and not power. God bless you.... I was able to comment, then I saw this. It's not as if the power banks draw their rate capacity in an hour, most of this power banks draw max continuous power of 20w AyobamiOluwole: You are wrong to do your maths that way and you also don’t understand the energy movement.
Let’s be generous to say that the owner uses a 15Watts chargers in his shop:
10 power banks = 15Watts by 10 = 150Watts 15 phones = 15Watts by 15 = 225watts
Total running loads at a time = 375watts per 1 hour.
Meaning that on the system is 375watts an hour. Nothing like 1kwh of power.
The power banks will take 5hours to completely charge while the phones will at most be filled in 2 hours. That 5 hours is enough to get your battery full and still charge those devices if you calculate well.
The duration of how long he runs the 375watts is most importantly based on his solar panels and battery bank. If he has solar panel of 1kwh, don’t forget that the generation of power on an ideal day is about
1k watts by 5hours =5kw
Meaning he has 5kwh per day. While his load is 375watts which will run for about 13hours a day. Meaning that 10 hours is enough for 20 power banks and the remaining 3hours (375watts by 3 hours) is enough for 75 phones.
Do your maths this way, gather enough research to know how many customers you will likely get a day and buy your set up that matches it.
Back to the shop owner and many others like him, they just don’t know the maths too, and they don’t like to ask before they get into it. Chikina. |

Ohk, thanks hoover420: Well it is not really charging my battery very fast. I do compliment it with grid. They said I’ll have to get one more before it can charge fast, meanwhile Grid is charging it in less than 4hrs…Also, it’s been cloudy and raining since I got it so I haven’t seen the full potential of the panel yet. The highest I have seen since I got it is 330w and it fluctuates between 100 & 250 most of the time |

Infact I had to wait till everyone was out and in the evening before I installed because I know if the landlady see it, she might not accept to get it installed. Now the installer is telling me that I’ll need atleast 2 to allow my inverter to charge fast. I was like which kind wahala be this one. A 1.5kva inverter though. Now my question is, can I get a lower panel like 200 watt to compliment it or I’ll have to buy that exact 535 watt bi facial panel again? The way it is made, if there is no compatible pot on it, even if you put it on, the cooker won't come on. That is also a good safety feature I guess, incase one mistakenly puts it on without knowing. Evening bosses .... Has anyone using haisic 1.5kva inverter experienced Error 1 before? this happens whenever there's grid outage and my inverter switches to battery/inverter mode, it'll run perfectly for like a minute, then trip off displaying Error 1 "bus soft boost start failed in inverter" according to manual.
The inverter restarts and works normally..... |
