Benekruku:Detest is such a strong word Also you never raise any points you are too.emotional sir you need to.learn some emotional intelligence, it will.help you . To say you detest my response is something a child should.say not an adult and this is why you have been unable to convince even one.persom on this platform about this ruga thing You were so emotional you even misunderstood my comment and assumed I agreed to your point of view , I only.acknowledged ranching as a modern farm.practise What you proposed isn't ranching , I went onto explain what ranching is . I have to ask why are you so uncontrolled with your emotions?it's not right for an adult Try and learn to calm down and respond coherently sir You need to make deliberate conversation not just rhetoric and tantrums Read my.post again and please this time.ensure you understand it and answer only what I asked then we take it from there Take as much time as you need to read and.understand mad please don't be in a hurry to.respomd so you don't end.up.missing the point as usual Cheers |
Benekruku:Good day to you my ruga opponent trust you are.well? Again I see you are spamming threads with very unconvincing arguments in favor of ruga . Arguments that can't stand under the most basic scrutiny Now I take you from this post sir . So as you have said above anything to confine them to one place is welcome yes? And I agree. So why not confine this settlement to the north where they currently reside .. Are you aware that in developed countries no one herds cattle ? Meaning no need to walk the length and breath of a nation all in the guide of seeking foilage for the cattle !! This is the 21st century sir not 1910 Ranches are located in large expanse of land ...and feed is trucked in for the livestock The north has more land Mass so there is enough land for these ranches , also ranches don't need 100 people to run please you can browse YouTube to see how ranches are run.. 20 people can run a ranch of over ,2000 cows this is the new age where everything has a smarter way of being done.. The fulani herding is out dated and obsolete .. the government can give the cow owners loans or land in the north to build ranches , the government can also bring in experts to hold workshops in the north to train managers on how to run these ranches There is enough sun to power the equipment in the ranch via solar grids It is a no brainier .. Like I told you yesterday sir, where critical thinking is employed a solution arises easier than when emotional rhetoric takes lead |
1shortblackboy:That is too harsh please sir I sincerely worry too about that member 99% of the comments made by that profile seem so fake and forced , forget sentiments just go through all his or her past posts they all sound deranged and read as though constructed by a bot They lack life and feel just made up under the influence of maybe drugs or alcohol. Isn't she being sarcastic? Or maybe I am not understanding her properly Because the last statement looks like an igbo insult So maybe she was being sarcastic meaning she might harm the man ?? Maybe ? |

Benekruku:I did address it maybe not clearly enough for that I apologise. Here is what i.mean With the states directly controlling their resources they can address things like erosion, flooding and other infrastructural engineering needs obviously. And with the states directly controlling their resources the governors can be held accountable. Remember they have been saying that government didn't approve that part or the budget or they claim as usual that it's a federal road so they can't do anything. This excuse has been.used for decades by corrupt politicians. Trust me when I say a decentralized government with resource control will actually force all.pokitcians seeking government office.to sit up For example imagine a governor in yobe knows no federal allocation is coming , who must look within to create wealth, which would.imvolve , mining, agriculture and such if one isn't a sound.economical strategist one would see this task as daunting and trust me Nigeria would not have so many political.parties running during the elections anymore Only state with natural resources would be hotly contested But at the end resource control would give birth to a new generation of Nigerian leaders who are all.educated and think outside the box The present system of government will not do this |
Benekruku:Here's my thinking If a state controls it's resources , then it knows best where to allocate it , there won't be this thing of getting federal approvals to fell structures that block certain path ways for water One can build state run power plants , redesign entire local governments and push for better security structure within the state Now each state would be forced to focus on building infrastructure that addresses their needs For instance why would the governor of Niger state build a diamond conservatory when there are not diamonds in niger state ? The federal uses funds as it pleases ? Another example is this ruga thing, it's not bad in a sane country but why build it outside regions where cattle rearing isn't their staple A decentralized government would remove the inconsistency in the country If my state enforces Sharia law that means I can't have alcohol companies there in hence they won't pay me taxes As it stands Nigeria uses funds raised in certain states to fund other states whose governor do nothing Look at Bornu, that state has been comatose and the governor receives federal allocation monthly for doing nothing Half his citizens are in IDP camps , he doesn't bother as he believes it's the federals job to stop bokoharam A decentralized government would make the politicians sit up Hence each state will use only what they can.genrrate within and receive a token from the little repatriated to the central purse monthly by the states Just my two cents |
States should be allowed to control their resource This is my thinking The present method doesn't seem to be working Most governors have great intentions but it just seems maybe things are strangled at the center government |
