Anon123: OKAY, WHY WILL HE BE ISSUED A WORK PERMIT IF HE WONT USE IT.. Anyway i might be wrong but i feel its against the rules WHAT HAPPENS IF THE APPLICANT WISHES TO APPLY FOR A PR IN FUTURE, WHAT WILL BE HIS EVIDENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE A Student Permit is what is being issued not a work permit, the SP just allow him to work some hours on or off campus which is 20 hours maximum a week, anything more than that is illegal, after completion of his studies, he applies for his Post Graduate Work permit which allows him to secure a job to get at least a year experience which can now be used to apply for PR, there are a lot of jobs which can give u the minimum one year experience required to apply for PR, so it's better for u not to work and concentrate on your studies then after that u apply for PGWP, people work just to get extra cash to support themselves,so my friend it's not required for u to work with a student permit, if you want to work, complete your studies and apply for a PGWP |

ganiruogene: Please I'll like to know which exchange rate the VO's use to know if the amount in an applicants account is enough to cover the tuition fee and cost of living? Is it black market, bank rate or what? They use the royal bank of Canada official rate which is almost the same with CBN rate, they don't use unofficial rate as the black market rate for conversion |

khosen: Please house I need your help
Can someone going to school in Vancouver land in Ontario, stay there with a friend for like a month before proceeding to Vancouver because lectures are online.
What can be the advantages and disadvantages?
Please I need responses abeg So Landing in Ontario means you need to do your hotel quarantine in Ontario and if you like, the remaining 11 days quarantine in Ontario, so the main question should be , does your friends place meet the minimum standard to quarantine, would you have a room to your self in order to avoid contact for the remaining days of quarantine, if yes then u can stay in your friends place within that period and more if you wish but if no you have to book and Airbnb in order to complete your quarantine then go later and visit your friend before you proceed back to school. |

OtunbaTee: In my school they'll either send to your email or you download it online...but why will a student alter a transcript when he knows the original would be sent from school, just thinking out aloud... Prophet otunba, people do many things out of desperation, fear, many things we might not be able to understand but we shouldn't be naive about , when is your program starting and when do you intend to travel, how are you preparing your documents for port of entry, I guess with this uncertainty surrounding covid19, one would be advised to travel as early as possible to get some stability in case one get infected during transit and then not being able to resume on time because of extra quarantine and no one knows how long it would take one to recover, some take months, like 2 or 3 months before resumption should be safer to travel, just thinking out loud |

OtunbaTee: Yea u need to request for it from your school..its called unofficial because it's with YOU, but its came content with that one in school too. I am not sure federal universities sends transcript to individuals officially because they try as much to protect the integrity of the transcript that's why they send directly to companies or other universities however you can request for it to be send to a friend's company which gives you access to it or whoever on ground is helping you to FasTrack it can just kindly send it to your mail. Unofficial transcript simply means the original transcript which the students have access to, the official one is the one sent from one organization to the other . |

Qcanvs38mimi: Okay. I didn’t spend time at all at the POE. After landing I took a long fast walk to the declaration machines, I scanned my passport there and filled the declaration form,my receipt was printed. Then I stood in line to wait for the next available officer. The officer I met just asked for my COVID test, declaration receipt and my passport, he then asked what I’m coming to Canada to do. I said I was a student. Finish. He allowed me in. Then I went to the study permit section( where my permit will be printed), the officer told me to put all my study documents on one side of the table, see checking. She was checking, asking me questions, she asked me like 3 questions, it took her 20mins to finish checking. Then she printed my study permit and attached it to the passport. Omo. I was so happy at that instant but I didn’t show it. So it is now compulsory to do COVID test at the airport, I spent like one hour there, registration+the test( make sure you have number and address of your university) . During that period, I found the cab man that my school sent to pick me up so at least my mind was settled, I won’t be out in the cold for too long. I did the COVID test then I went to drop my stuff in the car, I went to find something to eat at the airport. Then I was ready for my 1 hour 15 minutes drive to my university quarantine residence Congratulations Bro, so what study documents did you put down, you didn't tell us the 3 questions she was asking for 20 minutes and your reply to those questions |

Frankrobbn1: Are you serious with this suggestion? He should transfer the money back and explain what to the immigration? Its very obvious the money was borrowed from his parents and depositing it back into his account is totally a red flag. Canadian immigration officer's are very smart and can quickly grasp any irregularities. I will agree that no one expects you to hoard your money when there are financial opportunities to pursue. However, this is not applicable to the op current financial status.
It will end in praise. We can't work on assumptions, he said he is self sponsored which means the money is his, sending the money anywhere is his sole discretion as far he can explain his intentions, people remove their money and put it back, he could put it back in batches but hoping for them to continue with the regular processing might flag that he is not genuine, they could request for an updated statement of account later, what I am merely suggesting is that he should be proactive, send the money in and write IELTS and go through the NSE route or explain why you won't be able to send it than just disregarding it, he just needs to pray and makes his final decision. |

totee1999: Hello everyone, I have been asked by IRCC to submit mybankstatement and IELTS so they can process my application through the NSE route. However, the funds I used for my proof of funds have been transferred back to my parents' account (I was self-sponsored) through my other account. So my question is that should I transfer the money back to my account. Does this affect my application or should I just move on from it and allow them to process my application normally. And I would also like to know if anyone has gotten approval here without going through with the NSE as requested and how long did it take? Hello totee, the Visa officer wants to see that you have access to the funds that you are presenting, nobody expects you to leave your money dormant in the account when u have investment opportunities you can pursue, so if you have transferred the money out, transfer the money back and just write a brief letter of explanation, nobody can tell anybody where he or she money to be at a particular time, the most important thing is accessibility to the money,, a letter of explanation and the money in the account should do you better than not responding, my opinion |
