The FG does not even directly fund PTDF. PTDF is majorly funded by something called "signature bonus", it's the money paid by licensees when they're first allocated oil blocs before they can start anything on the bloc. This money is in dollars and is paid to NUPRC (formerly DPR) and they transfer the percentage that the law says should be given to PTDF to PTDF's account. So there's nothing like FG doesn't have money to give PTDF or there's no forex, PTDF doesn't collect budgetary allocations from FG and the money that funds PTDF is already in dollars.

Thank you for this clarification from a research well done. This is just the fact and never an assumption.

Making conclusive assumptions based on some faulty hypotheses never validate your position on this. Until PTDF says anything, we should not assume for them.

Well, for the former, it had been there at the point of changing our Interview Venue. I saved my application and it is still the same as what was saved then.

I think we should just stop this blame game and PTDF should be kind enough to give an update.

I am telling you if the proper sources give us information, some of us will not even bother to come to Nairaland to be looking for what is not lost.

No one will ever think that 10 weeks after interview, there will be no update or feedback from PTDF. You will only keep wondering the essence of their WhatsApp Number, Email and Social Media Handle.

The stuff is really insider in nature. Anyone can get it and manipulate. The information is also in the handwritten attendance sheet on the day of interview to the computerised information

The document is highly confidential and not meant for the public's consumption. Attatched there in is the list of the proposed scholars for this year in the appendix which wasnt captured. I could authoritatively tell you from here the document has been circulating on wattsapp groups and saveral other platforms back to source if you may like. You don't know internal administration maybe, That document was dully signed by the ES of the Fund to be transmitted to the minister for state oil and members of the staff Co. Federal character among others.
Implications: concerned agencies have written to the fund already regards the letter. Just pray they get a waiver to proceed today or tommorow otherwise administrative sabotages will set in.

If PTDF had been responding to comments, queries, requests, etc.., this should not have happened.

The unwarranted suspense cam only but question the credibility of the process. INFORMATION IS REALLY POWER.

I clicked it and I was presented with a form to input Academic or Professional References. Since I had not gotten any information about the scholarship, I did not fill.

Later, the References Menu disappeared. I traced the URL and tried accessing but I noticed that access had been restricted.

There is also something strange I notice on the portal under the Academic Information Menu. I noticed the Edit Button. I am not sure if it had been there before or it was recent. I know that anytime it is clicked, there is access restriction.

We were told in Kaduna centre that over 1 million applied but only 2,000 were shortlisted nationwide.

Only 185 were posted to Kaduna and about 160 came for the test

She won it 2 years back and it was foreign. Then, it was 1 per state for M.Sc and 1 per geopolitical zone for Ph.D. But this year seems to be local, so I can't ascertain the number per state that will be selected for now.
