(2)Having no special characters or function - everyday or common occurrence As a noun, its a bad or undesirable thing or person. The word - CITIZEN can be said to mean a locally recognized member of a state with associated RIGHTS and OBLIGATIONS. From the definition given, an "ORDINARY CITIZEN" can be referred to as "an undesirable locally unrecognized member of a state without RIGHTS and OBLIGATIONS. My AGITATION. In line with the change agenda of the present administration at the federal level in our great nation - NIGERIA, I do humbly offer our country this INGENIOUS psychological CHANGE, that could lead us to our desired physical CHANGE as a nation. NIGERIA CITIZENSHIP should be the highest honor in the land which is given to everybody at birth through the Birth Certificate. Once honor and dignity is accorded to being a citizen as a RIGHT, being responsible will follow as an OBLIGATION, the honor and dignity shall flow down to every citizen right from the executive, other arms of government, public office holders, including the law enforcement agencies. by simply stopping to address Nigerians as ORDINARY CITIZENS. What makes a senator an Honorable,a Rep. member an Honorable,a justice an Honorable, a Minister an Honorable a Local Government Chairman an Honorable and make the KING MAKERS(the ELECTORATES) an ordinary citizens.? It's derogatory. and assassination of character henceforth, for Mr. President,,a lawmaker, a judge, a minister, all public office holder to use the ABUSIVE word. - ordinary to qualify any NIGERIAN. Great Nigeria Citizen(GNC) -an honor through birth should be the HIGHEST tittle in our country, that must be respected and preserved by every rank and file. This birth honor - GNC, should be place above the GCFR and the likes to suppress ego attached to occupying political and public offices. IN CONCLUSION To answer my topical question: THERE'S NO ORDINARY NIGERIA CITIZEN. WE ARE ALL" GREAT NIGERIA CITIZEN The National Orientation Agency should take this up as a project. Any reader whose thinking goes with this position should simply comment with a YES, let's collate our VOICE to enthrone this positive change. All the best to every single "GREAT NIGERIA CITIZEN" |
