You must have a smartphone to download aadhar card from a mobile phone. Well if you are reading this post then you will have a smartphone then let us know how to download Step by step basis card.

How to download aadhar card from mobile?

Step-1 First open the Google Chrome browser on your android phone and type eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in in the address bar. Or you can go directly from here to the official website of UIDAI - Download Aadhaar

After this, the website will be open to download the Aadhar Card. Here you can download aadhar card from Aadhaar card number, VID or enrollment number. Here I am telling you how to download the base number base card.

Select step 2 then first I have Aadhaar. Then enter your 12 digit base card number. After this, fill your name (such as in the Aadhar Card), after entering the PIN code and security code, tap on the Request OTP option. How to fill the details is well explained in the screenshot below -

Note - To fill these details, use the default keyboard of your mobile that is already used. Do not use a downloaded Google Play Keyboard like Google Indic Keyboard or other Google Play Store. This will cause problems in filling the Aadhaar number and PIN code.

 Once the step-3-request-OTP option is selected, a Term & Conditions window will open. Tap on the I Agree option like a screenshot below -

 Step-4 In the next step, a popup window will open, which will tell you that OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. It will also show the last four digits of your mobile number. Confirm it as a screenshot here below -


 Step-5 will now have a 6-digit OTP receipt on your registered mobile number. Open the message box in your mobile and fill that OTP in the set box. After this go to Download Aadhaar option. You can also see in the screenshot below -


 Step-6 If you are using Google Chrome browser for the first time, you will be asked to get permission for storage access so that browsers can store the Aadhaar card files. Tap on the Update Permissions option like the screenshot below -

 Step-7 will ask again for permissions on photos, media and file access by the browser in the next step. Here's also to be allowed below like a screenshot -

Note - If you have downloaded a file before your Google Chrome browser then Step-6 and Step-7 will not be required. After entering the OTP, eaadhaar will be downloaded directly to your phone.


 
Step-8 As soon as permissions are granted, the Aadhaar card will be downloaded to your phone. It will download in pdf format and will ask for password when you open it.

The password will contain the first letter of the name in the capital letter of English and the year of birth. Like - someone is the base card of RAHUL SHARMA and his date of birth is 29-9-1990 so the password will be there - RAHU1990

Likewise, you can also create a password for your name and birth year and fill in the designated place and select OPEN option. As mentioned in the screenshot below -

After this eaadhaar card will be opened. You can print this file by visiting your home or at a computer shop.
