caramel13:I don't think there is a thread for tier two dependant but I think it's very straight forward. Check the gov website. You only need to show that your husband have about 1500£ in his account for 90 days before you apply or if you have that amount in your account. Or if your husband's place of work is on the approved sponsor list and can write a letter for you. I think if you can do this with your proof of communication and wedding certificate you are good to go. PS: check the gov website and read through all the necessary pages . Best of luck |
caramel13:this thread is not really for you. You need to apply for a tier two dependant visa please don't make the same mistake I made. This thread is for spouses of British citizen and citizen with indefinite leave to remain which is different from tier two leave to remain. PS: you don't need to change your name, you can do that anytime you want. |
Aphrodite007:it is a miracle, oluwasemilore. Big thanksgiving today, I pray everyone on this thread have wonderful testimony like mine and cause to glorify the lord. Hallelujah |
Aphrodite007:no it's tier two dependant. So they just changed it from settlement for me. Am not complaining. |
justwise:thanks |
justwise:I actually mailed them to ask if I can change it but they said no that I should withdraw the application and I said OK to the withdrawal and they said they will return my passport within 15working days. So I was just waiting for them to return it so I can reapply. Then I got the usual passport ready for collection yesterday evening. When I got to tsl and they gave me my passport I just noticed a paper in it so I already gave up that it's the refusal letter so I didn't bother checking the passport, just opened the folded sheet to see that my application was successful and my passport stamped. Come and see the way I shout for inside danfo. The lord is good, he is kind and faithful. |
Please help me praise the living God. Just got my passport back and it was granted . Unbelievable, Chai this my God is too much o . |
mzapplication:OK dear, am still waiting for them to return my passport. It is well with everything concerning us |
mzapplication:hi dear how far? Any update on your new application? Am still waiting for them to return my passport. |
mzapplication:[quote author=mzapplication post=65226003]thanks dear, I agree we should open a thread for tier 2 dependants . Hopefully they will release our passports by Friday. |
mzapplication:hi dear, please do you know how long it takes for them to return the passport after contacting the UKVI to withdraw an application. Thanks |
mzapplication:it is well dear, I spent 1.2m too. We will get through it God's grace, all our efforts and money will not be a waste. |
Hello mzapplication, Can you please let me know how it's going and how to go. I want to start my application for PBS dependant visa as soon as I get my passport back. |
This is the reply from home office, am considering withdrawing the application. You will not be able to change your application from a settlement to a tier 2 dependant visa. You will need to withdraw your visa application and make a new application; to withdraw your visa application I will need the following information: Full Name- Date of Birth- GWF number- IHS number- Passport number- Place of submission- Type of Visa applied for- Date of biometrics- Nationality- E-mail address used on application- Reason for escalation- Please remember that once you have completed your biometrics appointment you will not be able to get a refund for any of the payments that you have made. You will only get the IHS refund after you withdraw your application; this will be automatically refunded into your account within 6 weeks. |
I have mailed the home office and awaiting for a feedback. My dilemma now is if I should apply for a tier 2 dependant visa when I get my passport back or wait for my husband to get his indefinite leave to remain (this is his 11th year in the UK and he has booked his appointment for March to get indefinite leave to remain). Then I can apply for a settlement wife visa with his indefinite leave to remain. Please what do you think is the safer option time and money wise because my husband's bank balance has been up and down the past month and can't show the money required for tier 2 dependant visa. |
Mzapplication you can use this link to check for processing time and visa fee . https://visa-fees.homeoffice.gov.uk/y |
mzapplication:OK thanks |
justwise:please to which email address should I write to, I can't find any correspondence on the gov website. |
OK thanks |
justwise:I made the wrong application then. Please what can I do to rectify this, my application is still with the home office. Do I need to write them or withdraw the application though am not sure if it's possible to withdraw now. Any advice on how to proceed please. |
mzapplication:please gurus in the house can you please help clarify this. My husband's visa is tier 2 general (leave to remain) from 2016-2019. Is that limited as well? |
Please is there a difference,? My husband s visa is from 2016-2019. |
Hello everyone, I think I made the same mistake mzapplication made. I applied for settlement wife priority on the 15th of January but my husband is on tier 2 general(leave to remain) visa. My application is still with the home office and I don't know what to do. Should I withdraw it and start over hoping that they will refund the money or I should wait for them to reply. Am so confused, please help |
