People are worried that the war could escalate. Russia may decide to use biological or chemical weapons or even a nuclear bomb! This could lead to world War 3! That's why everyone is jittery.

The killings going on in Nigeria can bother one but does not stop you from interests on global issues.

Also, the war in Russia and Ukraine may lead to the "Great Tribulation" has recorded in the Bible. We must therefore pay more than the usual attention to events around us (Read Matthew 16:1-3)

What would happen if they gave them advanced ones such as fighter jets or thousands of guided missiles. Putin's have barely covered 10% of the country. It's advancement is too slow. I had even been hoping Zelensky make peace with the bully Putin before he turns Ukraine into a bombed out wasteland before capturing it.

Alas, I was wrong! The advancement by the Russians is a disgrace. Barely 10% of the country. They are yet to even enter the heavily forested western Ukraine which will be a paradise for guerilla warfare.

Russia is still using weapons dating from the 1980s and some of their supplies date as far back as the 1970s. Also, "catastrophic corruption" as one news outlet put it within the Russian army has adversely affected it.

Military corruption in Nigeria saw to it that the army here was using second hand and outdated equipment. Arthur Eze who was given a contract to supply fighter helicopters bought cheap second-hand helis which packed up during an operation. Russia' corruption is just as bad.

Putin was expecting the easy victory he had in Ukraine in 2014 but he must be baffled at the slow and stalled advance. The Ukrainians are even recapturing towns and cities from the miserable Russians.

The sooner Putin gets to the negotiating table, the better it is for both sides. Russia can still leave Ukraine bombed out even if it does not conquer it. Zelensky should such destruction at all cost.

Meanwhile, the Russian people will be impoverished, even though most of the economic sanctions will eventually be lifted. Business and consumer confidence will be battered. Capital flight will be the order of the day.
