Hi, since you were not admitted for Nursing, i don’t think you need to focus on that but rather how the Bsc General is beneficial for your current line of experience.

Response: Honestly, I’m not sure I’m interested in any of the courses under the bachelor of science general.
How you long have you worked in HR?

Response: I have worked for 1year and 3months now.
When did you obtain your first Bsc?.
Response: 2019

That being said, did you try other schools that allow top up degree for Nursing? Eg Uni of Sask.

Response: not exactly, would check out University of Saskatchewan

In your post, you mentioned if you do well, you can re apply for Nursing, would that mean, if that doesn't happen, you would be expending funds in another BSc you don’t need?

Response: yes, I totally agree with you.

Have you considered other course routes into Canada? That may be cheaper than a 3yr B.Sc?
Well, the diploma in practical nursing is another route, but it is a lower degree to BSc

All the best

Thank you

Dear Gurus in the house,

I’m actually new here but need your urgent advice as regards to writing a good SOP to apply for Canada study permit.
I have an undergraduate degree in physiology (medical related), I then applied to University of Manitoba for another undergraduate nursing degree, unfortunately wasn’t granted admission because my school syllabus for transfer credits were not sufficient to meet the required prerequisite (Nigeria factor), however was considered for admission into bachelor of science (general). The admission officer advised that with that route I will be able to complete the prerequisite in my second year (the admission given is to begin from year 2 of 4 years program) and if I do well, I can now reapply for nursing program. (Nursing in U of M is 28months and one qualifying year).

I also need to mention that I currently work as an HR assistant but do have some transferable skills since I will be dealing with humans. But do you think I should disclose this to the visa officer?

I need advice on my chances of getting a student permit visa approved, and how to construct my statement of purpose.

You may want to ask why I’m opting for another undergraduate program, but my reason is because I’m intrigued to study nursing, and because my initial undergraduate course isn’t nursing, I can’t apply for pgd(not sure) or masters degree in nursing.

Please what are your opinions guys☹️☹️☹️
