PoliticsRe: Asaba Is Not Igboland, It Was Founded By Igalaman-Asagba Of Asaba by loudlee:
When I said this Asagba is playing politics Here is further Proof. This same man led a delegation to Ntege and called it their ancestral home. Today because of money and politics he is singing a new song.

Also to further butress my point that that man did not found Asaba, and that Igbo's already inhabited the town before Nnebisi came,

This is just one excerpt from the article below

In Ahaba, Nnebisi, who was happy that he had finally found his home town started intermingling with the household of earlier settlers like Eze Anyanwu, Ugboma, Odikpe and Obodo Achala. It is to be noted, however, that before then the area that later became known as Ahaba was known as “the town beyond the big river” with no particular name attached to it.
Another excerpt

It was the arrival, from Nteje, of Nnebisi, his magical pronouncement of “Ahabam” and his marriage to two wives from the households of the earlier settlers that gave rise to the name “Ahaba” and later Asaba.

Just like those settlers in Edo called Igbanke people.
The majority owns a place not minority. Olukummi are a tiny tiny tiny minority the western Igbo's are a majority

The current CNS is from Enugu state. They speak Igala in his part.
Obiano is from the Igala speaking part of Anambra.

Nzam, Inoma all speak Igala, and identify as Igala. Most of the areas in Anambra West speak Igala.

As you sabi history of Asaba pass their own traditional ruler, na the prince dey go about impregnating cheap Igbo girls, abi?

You go spin stories taya.
Olukummi are yoruba speaking in delta does not make the place where they settled yoruba. there will always be people who settle in places from where they did not come.

Have you addressed what I raised. The half Igbo man left his mother's place where he was raised with who, followers from his mothers village. These followers were Igbo's abi and when they went back to Ahaba they went back to where there were already people abi no be so. These people where also Igbo. the town is an Igbo town.

Infact if you read Dennis Osadebey's book the name Ahaba which latter became Asaba is gotten from what happened when Nnebisis had a great harvest from where he settled and called the place Ani Ahaba (We have settled in this land).

The name is an Igbo word and did not come from Nnebisi founding the town. He did not found the town because Igbo's already inhabited the place.

Mind you, He Never said that Asaba is Igala. He only said that Nnebisi his ancestor was paternally Igala.

Take Note

Elusive001:
So 1966 coup was Igala coup nah.
A man impregnated a woman when he came down from Igala to trade, they say he was a prince but what prince leaves his kingdom to go sell fish or whatever else. But ok so he impregnated her meaning he met an Igbo girl, meaning people resided there and since the Igbo girl was not a slave she was most likely in the midst of other Igbo people,.

Now the boy was raised in in Nteje and only found out he was not full Igbo because he could not get a share of land. He wanted to go back to where he was born and enlisted the help of an Igbo medicine man to for the journey. HE LEFT WITH SOME FOLLOWERS OF HIS FROM NTEJE since that was where he was basically raised. Meaning they were Igbo's

Together they went back to the location which they named Ahaba because the medicine pot fell and what he exclaimed contained the word AHABA. now when he went back there (notice he went back there not that he founded there) he married 2 women who were not Igala again meaning the place was already inhabited by Igbo's or since he was 1 person who went with followers who were Igbo's from where he was raised in Nteje 99 percent of the party were Igbo's so how then does the town not be Igbo.

The Asagba is a political tool and a political opportunist. A man who is not honest or well versed in history.

The town is Igbo and just because one half Igbo half Igala man came back and they decided to name the town Ahaba from what it was formally called(the place beyond the river) does not make it not an Igbo settlement or town.
