dorthmaen: I was faced with two surprises this morning. First was that I saw an alert notifying me of my allowance for the month of August quite early on the first working day of a new week.The second surprise however came when I looked closely at the figure steering at me from my phone:It read 19700 instead of the usual 19800. I initially thought it was a mistake pro'ly in the alert and so,I went to check from my mail. I was surprised but needed the money at that time so,I had to do the usual, with a plan of making an enquiry on what happened to the 'Awolowo' note from my allawee.
Latter this evening, a friend came up with the issue and we discaused and had unanswered questions.
1.Who is responsible for the deduction? NYSC or the Bank,
2. if NYSC,why were we not informed?
3. 100 is so insignificant to so many of us that we forgot that 100 naira in 10,000 places makes a million naira.
4.Is the 100 box our own contribution to fight Ebola?(on a lighter mood).

That should be the "bank charge"

mikedimeji: Bro make God help us. Personally I worked my posting to ondo state Becos I know I can afford any kind of accommodation in either akure or ondo town but look at me now I don't know how I managed to land in Lagos but one thing I know is that my posting is a divine one and so am not bordered Becos God is on the throne. Though thank God I have a couple of places I can stay in Lagos but just trying to say is that it's not all of us that got Lagos wanted Lagos, in fact I don't like Lagos for anything but everything is for a good reason.

Mannylex: For those not based in lag and tryna work their PPA to the island, is it really worth it? Knowing fully well that no one would be posted to private establishments(except on very very rare occassions) , and if u get a place and the pay is not all that, how do you cope? Transportation, feeding, traffic, accomodation(after service year, how much would you save). I think everyone needs to cut their coat according to their size. The most adviceable place to get PPA is ikeja, where there are lots of ministries. The good thing is you are in lag, the land of opportunities, as you serve, make out time to apply for jobs, so that after service you can be lucky enough not to be jobless.... You just cant get everything immediately! Patience pays, cut your coats to ur size.

yankeedudu01: It is DIFFICULT to get a house in LAGOS without an agent, to the Glory of God my Dad owns a house in Lagos, so I know little of how things work. It pays working with an agent, they charge just 1k to avoid stress. To get a good room self-con, with water in the compound,tiles,etc(my findings), 100-120k per year then the agreement/agency-Minimum of 40k. But just a room & not too conducive you get that from 70k-90k per year.

Agents are now the problem in getting a house here in lagos..after hustling d main money for the she,u'll pay agency n agreement..they dnt just charge 1k as u say my dear...buh they make it relatively easy for u to get ur choice of a house,and fast..
I suggest the guy visits them,does findings and then concludes on how to go abt it..
Btw,starting small is d best..

Hissexcellencie: I suggest we all storm camp by that 1st Sept. Then stay there till 8th. (If what is on †ђξ website is true) then we can have our 3week experience in just 8days. Make we go wreck dat Ipaja maami for them. Picture panorama. Gyration everyday. Of course w/out †ђξ beagle and man O- war (compulsory) drills. what say U guys?

adonismuller: I would like to suggest something that will give us lil' joy............for those in thesame geo-political zone going same time,I will advice you all carry ur white shoes,shorts,waist pouch and oda petty things needed, so that you can wear it there and snap before the kits are given,you can also snap with inside the hostel and other facilities the stream one ppl snapped with (that are available). That way you won't feel it much when ppl start talking about camp experience, let's make gud use of the 2 days...3 weeks fun can be summarised in 2 days...lol
