On Monday 9th of May 2022 Ikenna Stanley Aduba also known as 2MIN IME engaged the services of Chukwufunaya Victor Ikems also known as Nayaeffectz Creative Studio to film, edit and produce the music video of his song titled "SHAKE IT" The parties agreed that the Claimant @2min_ime should pay the sum of #2,500,000 as the entire production cost for the music video.

Nayaeffectz further agreed with @2min_ime that the finished music video shall be ready and delivered to him within 14 days from the date of shooting the video.

@2min_ime paid in two installments #2,000,000 into the UBA bank account no. 1023370268 belonging to Nayaeffectz and #500,000 into Kuda microfinance bank account no. 2024419347 belonging to Nayaeffectz's Manager on the 25th of May 2022.

On Sunday the 5th day of June 2022 within the hours of 8pm - 2am, @2min_ime music's video was shot by Nayaeffectz at Peninsula Resort in Abraham Adesanya Estate Lagos State.

The two weeks referred in the above paragraph lapsed on the 19th of June and to the utter shock of @2min_ime, the video was not delivered.

After several failed attempts to get in touch with Nayaeffectz and his Manager @2min_ime not being comfortable with the actions of Nayaeffectz and his Manager, engaged the services of P.C Obi & Co and a Pre-action notice was delivered at the residence of Nayaeffectz but he refused to acknowledge receipt of same..

@2min_ime avers that himself and his music video career have suffered severe hardship, setbacks, disappointments and incurred huge financial losses coupled with unwarranted mental and emotional unrest and distress occasioned by the Defendants flagrant breach of contract.

@2min_ime avers that judgement should be entered in his favor against Nayaeffectz for specific performance of the contract and payment for general damages caused by Nayaeffectz as a result of the deliberate breach of the contract to deliver SHAKE IT video.

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife has taken up the hospital expenses of the 20-year old groundnut seller and a victim of rape who took in and delivered triplets at a hospital in Imo State.

Ekwunife who this Saturday reacted to the incident published on social media revealing that the 20-year old rape victim was stranded at Prevailer Care Clinic and Maternity in Mbaitolu local government area of Imo State over her inability to settle her hospital bills which was N422,000 described the trauma the young groundnut seller went through in the hands of rapists and her subsequent inability to pay her hospital bills as an ordeal which should not be the lot of any Nigerian.

Delivering the sum of 500,000.00 naira, bundles of diapers and tissues to the victim and mother of triplet, the Senator who was represented by a team led by her Legislative Assistant, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko described the incident as unfortunate and an eye opener to the challenges being faced by victims of rape and sexual abuse.

In a message delivered through the team led by Mrs Chinwuko, Ekwunife who is a strong advocate against rape and gender based violence expressed saddness over the ordeal of the young lady.

She used the opportunity to reiterate her call for stiffer punishments for rapists and for a more proactive action against the increasing cases of rape and further highlighted the need for victims of rape and sexual abuse to speak out and report these cases to the authorities.

"We need to encourage victims of sexual abuse to speak out in order to assist the government in the fight against rape and other sexual abuses. Parents have to engage their wards more often in order to identify when they have been taken advantage of by rapists, and ensure that they inform the appropriate authorities so that proper investigations, arrests and prosecutions can be made", she said.

Senator Ekwunife who identified weak legislation and stigmatization as some of the impediments to the investigation and prosecution of rape cases appealed to the Imo State government to render further assistance to support the young mother of triplet as well as ensure that those who abused her and put her in family way are fished out and made to face the full weight of the law.

Concluding, the Senator appreciated the hospital for ensuring that the victim received good medical care and called on other stakeholders to assist the vulnerable in situations like this as well as ensure that cases of rape and sexual abuse are appropriately reported, investigated and prosecuted.

*Senator Ekwunife distributes Educational Materials to 131 Public Schools*


The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife on Wednesday distributed educational materials to 131 primary and secondary schools in Anambra Central Senatorial District.

This was done during an event held at Senator Uche Ekwunife Centre Awka where the Senator presented the items to the School Principals and Head Mistresses.

While presenting the items, the Senator noted that the educational materials were meant to assist the schools in teaching as well as support the parents of pupils and students in providing educational materials for their wards. She urged the principals and headmistresses to ensure that the materials were judiciously distributed to the students.

Reacting to the Senator's gesture, the Headmistress, Community Primary School, Akwa-Ukwu, Mrs Anthonia Akunna lauded the Senator for finding it necessary to support teaching and learning in schools. She prayed God to continue to guide, protect and reward her. Mrs Akunna assured that the materials will be fully utilized by the schools for the purpose of meeting the learning needs of students.

In the same light, the Representative of Merchant of Light Oba while describing the Senator as a mother noted that the distributed items will go a long way in helping the students achieve their academic goals.

Mrs Rose Osote and Mrs Nwazulum Nneka of Union Primary School Nibo and Central School Umuawulu respectively in their seperate speeches appreciated the Senator on behalf of the schools in Awka South local government area.

66 Secondary schools and 65 Primary schools benefited from the programme.

The distributed materials include, Mathematical Sets, Lantern Text Books, Exercise Books, Magnetic Boards & Dusters, Magnetic Board Markers, Chalks, Calculators, Dictionaries, A4 Papers and Writing Materials.
