Lampard is a novice, hence was sacked. Any manager on earth can sign good players if given the kind of fund lamps was given (about $250M+). The only thing I'll praise him for is bringing in James & Mount to the first team, and maybe helping us to make top 4 last season. Nothing more

Kai Havertz goal seals 1-0 victory for Chelsea in all-English final

Chelsea have been crowned European club champions for the second time after completing a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final thanks to Kai Havertz's first-half goal.

In the third all-English final in the competition there were chances for both sides with Raheem Sterling’s backheeled attempt smothered by Edouard Mendy and Timo Werner twice threatening for Chelsea in the opening quarter-hour.

N’Golo Kante headed over at the back post from Ben Chilwell’s cross on 17 minutes before Antonio Rudiger executed a timely block to deny Phil Foden an opening goal 10 minutes later.

Thomas Tuchel’s side took the lead three minutes before half-time when Mason Mount picked out Havertz with a defence-splitting diagonal and the German rounded Ederson to score.

Matters worsened for the Premier League champions when Kevin De Bruyne had to be replaced by Gabriel Jesus on 59 minutes after suffering injury in a collision with Rudiger.

An excellent Cesar Azpilicueta interception soon afterwards prevented Ilkay Gundogan from equalising, while on 72 minutes, substitute Christian Pulisic clipped a glorious chance wide following a sweeping counter-attack.

Riyad Mahrez fired narrowly wide in the seventh minute of added time but Chelsea held on to realise their second triumph in the competition

He might have made some terrible mistakes lately, especially with his unnecessary touches inside the box instead of shooting. However, we can't deny how dangerous he is to opponents' defence.

Guy tbh, sterling is the real threat in that city attack. He's the one I personally find dangerous. His pace alone can cause problem. In fact all pacy players cause problems especially against team that attack. Why do you think Tuchel keeps playing Werner even tho he misses sitters? Pacy players are very dangerous, especially if he knows how to dribble with the ball which obviously sterling can do, unlike Timo who lacks common sense.
