What about Magistrates of the Delta State Judiciary? They still use Okada to work and back even though they handle very sensitive cases on behalf of the State. Magistrates must be treated better starting from respectable remuneration to vehicles to ease their work. They are judicial officers please. Treat them fairly.

Magistrates in Nigeria should also be treated fairly in terms of their earnings. They're the least paid in public service. The FG deliberately schemed them out of the 300% increment in Judicial officers remuneration signed into law by the President in 2023. It is so unfair.

Men don't demand artificial things

Expansion of the definition of Judicial Officer to include Magistrates of the various State Judiciaries and FCT is one of the most important bills. The Bill is set to include Magistrates as Judicial officers similar to State High Court Judges and other Superior courts of Record. I must commend the National Assembly for arriving at this Stage. Nigerians will witness the birth of a new and comprehensive Constitution and hopefully this leads to a better way of life for majority for majority of her citizens. Amen

Gradually his conviction is looming. Prosecution are zeroeing in on him. When you keep raising issues of jurisdiction when same has been exhaustively dealt with is lame and a show of pure foolery. The court can deem your defense closed if you elect not to defend and set the matter down for adoption of final addresses and subsequently judgement. My prediction is Mr KANU shall be convicted and Sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

What about Magistrates/Lower court judges?
Why is their welfare not a priority when they are the first judicial officers who handle even more terrible cases and are closer to the grassroots. Minister Wike you cannot give priority to Superior court judges alone. It is unfair. It is now time to unify the pay structure of Magistrates nationwide and improve it handsomely. Provide Vehicles for them and allowances to cater for their needs and those of their families same way it is done for Judges. Judges and Magistrates are all lawyers first and foremost and are doing the same jobs. This is an appeal and also a demand. Thank you.
