PropertiesHow You Can Start A Real Estate Business In Africa by lumanaz(op): 11:11pm On May 09, 2020
Real estate is a huge industry in Africa. Anyone that wants to get into the business needs to be specific on what they want and where they want it. Some of these strategies require vast amounts of money. While for others you can get started cheaply.

For example estate agency can be set up with zero to no cash. While if you want to venture into property development you’ll need a lot of business financing.

First thing you’ll need to do is to pick a viable strategy among:

Buy to let, Rent to rent, Buy to sell, Real estate development, Property/land flipping, Venture capital, REITS, Estate agency, Letting agency, Property management

Next you’ll select a market segment, decide where you want to focus on and conduct some market research (to see if it is viable or not).

All these can be done in almost all African countries. And viability differs from one country to another. Economies differ from poor countries to more developed ones.

You need to expect the market to change across the continent, that is real estate products, price, demand and supply.

Further, each country will have its own set of regulations that governs the real estate industry, real estate ownership and transactions.
Most important thing is to do the research. Before you dive in.
