Car Talk / Re: Justin Bieber’s Custom Rolls Royce: Futuristic Hit Or Miss? by LussoAutos: 12:02am On Feb 17, 2021
To answer some of the questions, first thanks y'all for all your interesting comments. I read some really funny ones. The car does drive, you can check out a cool picture with him about to get in and DRIVE!! on LussoAutos, the tires are behind the casing so those are not metal plates. Think of it as a metal casing(sheet metal) over the entire chassis. As for clearance, well air suspension system have a big part to play.

Please keep your comments coming and check out Lussoautos for more posts like these.

Thanks, guys,

Car Talk / Alibaba EV Of The Week $2.8k Only?? -40mph Dune Buggy by LussoAutos: 4:18am On Feb 14, 2021
It hails from the trading company Wuhan AGY Machinery Equipment Co, LTD.
Is the GE01 model an electric dune buggy? An electric go-kart? UTV? Well-it sports a 5,000W electric motor in the rear – and judging by the sheer size of it I’d call that the continuous rating.
With a torque rating of 80 Nm, the GE01 electric buggy features a true shaft-drive rear differential that spins the thing up to 40 mph (64 km/h) at full bore.

When Justin Bieber received delivery of his custom Rolls Royce Wraith, it is probably safe to assume several jaws dropped to the floor. The car itself is a 2018 Rolls Royce Wraith. West Coast Customs was responsible for this one of a kind Rolls!

Just 4 years ago, Rolls-Royce unveiled the 103EX a slick and super extreme concept car that measured 19.4 feet long and we’re told the inspiration behind WCC’s design.

Car Talk / Converting Your Engine To CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) by LussoAutos: 6:05am On Feb 08, 2021
What is CNG?
Compressed natural gas (CNG), is a fuel that can be used in place of petrol, diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas. CNG combustion produces fewer undesirable gases than the aforementioned fuels. A lot of cars are turning to CNG for various reasons, but mostly for efficiency and cleaner air. Electric vehicles are definitely a tough contender to CNG but overall, CNG remains a formidable opponent here’s why.

CNG is used in traditional petrol/internal combustion engine automobiles that have been modified, or in vehicles specifically manufactured for CNG use; either alone (dedicated), with a segregated petrol system to extend range (dual fuel), or in conjunction with another fuel such as diesel (bi-fuel). This multifaceted approach to its use makes it even more versatile.

Increasing Global warming and carbon emission levels have made the need for cleaner fuels more imperative than ever.

Economic concerns in rising fuel costs have also been a contributing factor as to why CNG is starting to be used also in commercial vehicles and other modes of transportation such as Auto-Rickshaws, pickup trucks, transit, and school buses, and trains.

Car Talk / Icons That Need No Introduction: The Peugeot 504 & The Golf MK1 GT by LussoAutos: 12:56am On Jan 25, 2021
Peugeot 504

This car doesn’t need any introduction. The Peugeot 504 from the seventies. Definitely not sporty, stunning diesel engine from 1975. The 504 was developed as a successor to the Peugeot 404, which was the company’s midsize offering between 1960 and 1975. Owners of 404s were pleased with their durability, frugality, and good value, and Peugeot desired those same qualities in a successor vehicle. So they contacted Pininfarina to work up a new design. After, the company set out to perform some sturdy engineering, enter the all-new Peugeot 504.

In a typical Peugeot manner, the 504’s introduction was well before the discontinuation of the 404. The new entry was available for the 1968 model year in a variety of body styles (also typical). Off the four-door sedan base came a five-door wagon, a two-door coupe, convertible, and even a pickup truck. Power always traveled to the rear wheels, and engines between 1.8 and 2.7 liters in displacement were available. Transmissions varied and included four- or five-speed manuals, plus three-speed automatics.

Volkswagen Golf Mk1

The story goes that VW engineer Alfons Löwenberg saw the potential in his company’s then-new supermini, so he gathered together a group of like-minded colleagues willing to work in their spare time on what they called the ‘Sport Golf’. When it was done they showed it to the executives, who were so impressed they gave it the green-light.

At the 1975 Frankfurt Motor Show VW unveiled the Golf GTI (Gran Turismo Injection). Apart from the chin-spoiler, tartan upholstery, and much pin-striping, it looked remarkably like a regular Golf. But under the bonnet was a different story entirely. The 1.6-liter, fuel-injected engine from the Audi 80 GT, enabled it to hit 0-60mph in around nine seconds and a top speed of 110mph. Not fast by today’s standards, but plenty enough for the early Eighties.

Car Talk / The 10 Rarest Cars Ever Made, Ranked! by LussoAutos: 12:32am On Jan 25, 2021
Rare: not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value- lexico.com When you think of “rare” cars, you most probably won’t think that some of the cars you grew up knowing and loving were actually classified as “rare”. Today we take a look at ten of them. Known by some, loved by most, and new to many. Let’s countdown and learn a few interesting facts about them.

10. Porsche 916
We bet you’ve never seen one of these before. Introduced in 1972, the Porsche 916 is actually a big brother to the now-iconic Porsche 911 and flopped due to the steep price it commanded. For this reason, it’s now touted as one of the rarest Porsche models ever created. It only boasted a production run of only 11 units.

9. Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe
Few cars can come close to the level of dignity and luxury the Royale Kellner Coupe boasts. Created by Ettore Bugatti in 1931, it was aimed strictly at royalty and envisioned as the most luxurious automobile in the world. Even today, its giant statue dwarf’s luxury leaders the likes of Rolls Royce Phantom by a large margin. It stands at 21 feet long, while just the massive hood ornament easily reaches eye level.

To behold the presence of this car is humbling, and the thunder of the 12.7L double straight-eight engine under the colossal hood will send shivers down anyone’s spine. We’re talking about perhaps the biggest engine ever put in a production car, 300 horsepower – an inconceivable number in 1931 when the car was new. All this extravagance and luxury met a quick end when the car’s production ceased due to the economic depression. Only six of these cars saw daylight. There are still probably out there somewhere today because we know that one of them sold for a staggering $9.7 million in 1987. Adjusted for inflation, that’ll be roughly $20 million today, putting it among the most expensive cars ever sold.

8. Aston Martin DBR1
60 years after the Aston Martin won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the DBR1 is still considered the very pinnacle of Aston Martin performance cars.

Today, it stands as a monument to Aston Martin’s achievements, with only 5 models in existence. One of them was sold at a 2017 Monterey Auction by RM Sotheby’s for a staggering $22.5 million, making it the most expensive British car to ever be sold at an auction. The car is a classic masterpiece, put together by a small and focused team of engineers to outperform all other cars in its era.
