Kongaone:
Finally I have painstakingly, curiously, keenly and attentively read through this thread from page 1 to this end. I have learnt so much more than I used to know about UK japa. Japa has never been my thought (as am doing well in Naija) until 3 months ago when everything began to hit the roof and I keep seeing my savings reducing value daily. Thus I developed interest of relocating to the UK through the study route but fear don dey catch me after all I have read here.

My story.
I am in my mid 30s, with a wife and 3 kids. I have Bsc Mathematics (1st class) and awaiting Msc mathematics (distinction) by December. My wife has B.Ed Mathematics Education (2:1) with TRCN.

We are planning I apply for phd September 2025 intake as MA and them as dependent while wifey tries the "Train to teach maths" program from now till then.

We would be able to raise 40m now till Sept 2025 and thinking if we should still consider the UK option.

Pls is there any advice we can get here on available best options we can take maybe to secure a scholarship as what I have read here has shown that there are no longer jobs in the UK like before to pay school fees through a 3 years phd. And also considering the £15k to convert to PSW visa after phd.

We are not looking at Australia and Canada because the possibility of getting PR reduces as you age.

Or is there any alternative European country we can look into (with our lean budget) where it will be easy for us (especially the kids) to blend and school.

Whatever you are doing please change that your 40m to pounds or dollars before it turn to dust

From Brum station to Notts can take about 1hr 15m. Tram from the station goes either way if city or Clifton campus.

Any idea how much it would cost?
Is it a wise to do such?

Those with experience

Has anyone here switched from an engineering background to nursing? What was your experience like? Also, does anyone know how to help someone gain admission for the January or February intake? Asking for someone who's very serious about pursuing this path.

Anyone going to conventry occupational therapy
Let’s rub mind pls

All of this might seem like a joke now, but maybe in the next hundred years, men who had surgery to get a pvssy starts giving birth, and humanity will change from what it is today.

If my course is a 2year course eg. Occupational therapy,
1) The fee of 18k per year that means it would be 18k x2 for the two years?
2) If Yes am I going to show POF for 36k or 18k

Hello house,

Has anyone here during their MSc application to Ulster university or any other universities been asked to “Provide supporting documents to address name discrepancy on WAEC certificate”?

For proper context, my WAEC certificate has my last name fully written however my first & middle names were abbreviated. Something like this {Adebiri J K}.

I lost as to how to navigate this, if it’s something a simple affidavit could fix or might have to get it fixed at WAEC.

Kindly advise house! Thanks in anticipation of your inputs!

I had discrepancies on the DOB on my waec I swore an affidavit submitted and it was accepted on the portal.

Based on the questions I was asked in my interview.
1. Why did you chose to study in the Uk?
2. What is your long term and short term goal?
3. What influenced your decision to study this course?
4. Why did you choose the school?
5. Where did you plan to stay when you arrive?
6. What is your plan after graduation?
7. Do you plan to go back to your home country after graduation?
8. Do you have any disability that can affect learning?
That’s all I can remember for now. I hope this helps

What course and school?

I have conventry university interview on MSc occupational therapy tomorrow
