Lawal4green: I don't wanna mention Date, is dis year.But u kn February (elections) is already knocking at the door. |
Any1afraid of criticism shldnt post here.Criticism is wat makes this thread thick. No1 here has suffered more criticism than Lawal. |
See Lawal, I want u 2 define 'very close' or/& 'very soon',pls.cos I haeard this from Moro & CGI several times in d past. |
Sad 2 inform d house that 1 of the major actors in the delay of ds NIS stuff & also caused the death of many youths received a national award today.Thereby making a mess of the whole award no wonder Soyinka & Achebe rejected it. |
PascalXL: [the major issue with NIS is power play between the Minister, CG and CDFIPB. Secondly, the $1bn loan will come in as ammunitions for our military and not as cash. Haba... From salah to 1bn loan? Anyway, I won't be suprise if someone says shakau's death will make NIS complete their recruitment. We all want NIS to complete what they started but all dis prediction will not help us. We'd better ask for God's intervention instead of all this baba-ijebu (my own thought though...) God help us all.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/senate-rowdy-session-jonathans-1bn-loan-request/ ......"The insurgents are purported to have carved out some local government in Borno and Adamawa states and declaring same as caliphate under their control as if it were no longer part of the territory of Nigeria. “Therefore, the urgent need to upgrade the equipment, training and logistics of our Armed Forces and Security Services to enable them move forcefully to confront this serious security threat cannot be over-emphasised.” This is quoted from the letter addressed to d Senate by GEJ bk in July. Part of the money will also be spent on the TRAINING of Security services - NIS falls in ds class. 'Mere' Power play since March? Despite the presidency giving them a time frame if 12 wks?Common! There shld b more 2 it. I think the major issue here is the inefficiency that characterizes our public sector. No company in d private sector will take ova 1 year to conclude its recruitment process. |
@Awual999: dt news is very immaterial 2 d subject matter. |
Nonso where are you?Nothing from your end? |
Ok. |
FGjobs: Bro, I tot d Chairman of the committee is the FCSC Chairman, Deaconess Ayo.Check ur facts.Bukar Aji is d name, e retired recently. U r probably referring to the incumbent. |
Masco2006: I heard from source that Abba Moro will be resigning this week cos he wants to contest for benue state governor. Meaning everything will suspended till farther notice.The chairman of the presidential committee on NIS recruitment was the former head of the Civil Service Commission but why haven't we heard that after his retirement, the exercise is dumped. There is the 'office' & there is the 'person' & we must learn to separate the two.If Moro resigns, another person takes his place, simple!Activities won't be paralyzed in the interior minister if the minister resigns. |
No rum 4 2 much grammar here,abeg! Here s not 4 campaign or advert! |
http://www.punchng.com/opinion/a-deep-look-at-nigeria-immigration-service/ One wonders y d NIS is always in the news for the wrong reasons |
sunch: If the FG refuses to take a step towards this recruitment exercise which we all paid a thousand naira, I would disenfranchise myself and persuade many others to occupy the internet to boycott the upcoming general election.D question we shld ask is whether our votes really count. Also, many youth are already forming various 'yeye' groups doing campaigns by proxy for GEJ.Others go to their polling booths on election day where they collect 500 or 1000 for votes thereby selling their future & that of their unborn children. |
@last4eva: Me ké?When Lawal is there. But seriously, we just have to be patient even the minister will tell u ds. Almost everything we hear for now is speculation. @Lawal abeg, wats d latest? |
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/hard-nuts-await-legislators-nass-resumes/ Immigration tragedy Another Senate report that is said to have been dumped after the committee submitted its report is the Immigration recuitment tragedy where about 18 youths including a pregnant woman lost their lives and several others were injured at various recruitment centres across the county during a stampede. The tragedy took place in March this year and after many months the Senator Abubakar Bagudu-led Senate Committee on Interior submitted its report; it was yet to be attended to. Going by the dust the incident raised and alleged plans to sweep the report under the carpet, some senators are expected to demand debates on the report. The decision of the Senate not to treat the report in a hurry, as gathered, may not be unconnected with reported damning revelations of the committee and the attendant recommendations which are said not to be favourable to a top government appointee said to be close to the Senate leadership. The Senate had, on March 18, three days after the Immigration recruitment tragedy of Saturday, March, 15, 2014, mandated the committee to carry out comprehensive probe of circumstances that led to the tragedy which claimed 18 lives of job seekers and l Even as members try to keep sealed lips over the outcome, there are insinuations in some quarters that the report of the committee had found some top government appointees wanting. It is expected that the Senate will be busy to trash out some of these and other pending issues as it resumes for legislative duties today |
Miriam4cool: NIS is likely to be december or january.Even if d $1B is approved 2mao? Source, pls |
So many dates in d past, yet ........ |
@Xhamel89 u de waste ur talent o. Instead make u go apply 4 Microsoft.lol |
@Lawal, u just said ma mind. |
PascalXL: My Brother, u don't need to send ur cv to any NASS committee for NIS or NSCDC job. Abba moro is the only obstacle here not NASS or 1Billion whatever.The first sentence is incorrect. It shows you don't know the workings in d MDA's when it comes to employment. For the defence of their annual budget to be a smooth exercise, MDA's 'bribe' the various committees with job slots.Don't underestimate the power those guys @ both the green & red chambers have However,the second sentence seems correct cos after being assured of a slot by my agent, I asked him when the list would b out & e said "Only the minister can say when". |
Ibro2star: Whose fault?"The problem with Nigeria should be laid at the doorstep of her leaders" Chinue Achebe |
JohnmaryEbube: D page is upto 180... Yet no testimonies, other threads gives tetimonies at 50-70 pages but dis page formed since 2012 yet I hv not seen any1 sing testimony song here. EXIT.......U missed it!We should actually be approaching 300 if not for d issues NL had wt der website. Its very unfortunate. |
Slexd: this ur source wel! As it is nw,NIS need to add more personnel than nscdc,nps and even ffs as we hav heard several times and even recently frm d horses mouth mr moro,so i dnt knw wat ur source tinks abt Nis recruitmentOn point!Besides, the APC is already using the NIS recruitment tragedy to campaign against GEJ.Listen to 102.3 FM if u r in Lagos to confirm this. The advisers of Gej will definitely want to sort out this NIS stuff ASAP because the longer the delays, the more the opposition will continue to feast on it.Also, the elections are here and GEJ will want to use job creation (recruitment) to score political points.It will be unwise for the govt to unnecessarily delay this stuff till after elections.It will only show how clueless & inept they are. |
The members of the committee r d same members of the board except a few additions. |
holycup: Loading...to Explode wth blessings extraodinaryU r very right. Nscdc & NIS cld b out nx wk after the weekly FEC meeting.So I was told. Thumps up for the indefatigable Lawal. |
Sigh..........Wetin b ds 1,again? |
Any news from the board/committee? |
Just heard from my source that the Permanent Secretary of the interior ministry was transferred. Can some1 pls confirm? Thou he said there could be news next week Na so so obstacles we de meet for ds NIS stuff. God help us. |
@justineu.It is said that when you point an accusing finger at other people, the other four are pointed to you. |
