Let me chip this about the ussd bank issues. JUST LOCK YOUR SIM(S). Once switched off or changed to another phone, the sim won't be able to work without the pin.
Settings > Additional Settings > Privacy > Sim Card lock

I believe you mean redmi 5 plus. Note 5 is better than redmi 5 plus. Note 5 pro is what the Indians call our own redmi note 5.
