During an inspection tour of projects and facilities in the state, governor Obaseki visited the Etete sports complex. The facility is one of the venues for the 2020 National Sports Festival which was newly renovated by him.

while inspecting the facility the governor urge the athletes to win gold medals for the state during the games.

Report monitored by Midwest Herald Community Newspaper, indicates that an armed detachment of the Department of State Services (DSS) operatives may have taken over the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The armed and masked operatives, is said to have arrived the secretariat in a commando like style at about 4:24pm in power bikes and they instantaneously blocked the road leading to the secretariat.

There are no official reason for their presence but the mission of the DSS operatives may not be unconnected to report that the suspended National Chairman of the party, Mr. Adams Oshiohmole was expected at the secretariat, which has been under lock down since Wednesday evening following an FCT high court judgement suspending him.
