Pls gurus in the house I need your assistance, I bought a brand new SRT 4669X two days back, I installed it yesterday the receiver is working as per showing Video(picture) and Audio is okey, but the problem am having with it is that changing from one satellite to another.
I am using two dish (1.8m for nilesat and 90cm for MultiTv) which are both fixed, i connect the two dishes using 1/4 output/input Disecq I committed the two LNB(both KU) to the apropriete pot of the disecq perfectly, but the problem is that when ever am watching a channel on nilesat if I move (change) to a channel on multiTV I will get 'No or Bad signal' respond from that multiTv channel until I use the remote control and switch OFF and ON the receiver before picture will come out, If i move back to the nilesat the same thing will happen until i repeat the above procedure. In order to confirm that my disecq and disecq setting is okey I used my other receiver (SRT 4661X) and test and the disecq is okay because all the channel are responding the way they suppose to work. Pls can any one help me with the solution or suggestion on how to over come this problem?. When I checked the system Information in the menu of the receiver these are the parameters I obtained;
Model: SRT 4669X+
S/W Version: 1.05p (Aug 27 2009)
H/W Version: 1.00
Boot Version: 1.20
CH Version: Aug 26 2009

Besides updating transponders, the software is a multi-functional tool that can help you track any satellite using the position of the sun as your guide. It gives you the exact time of the day when the sun's azimuth and elevation will equal that of the satellite you want to track. For instance if I want to install astra 2b, I look up my satfinder software and it tells me the sun will be on astra 2b position at 09:06am on Wednesday 24/03/10. I just set up my equipment and wait for 09:06am and point my dish to the sun. Gbam! Signal will jump out. I will tight my dish and pack up. Installation over! How cool is that?

The satfinder I was refering to is a software installed on my system. You can download and update transponders from time to time and that is what I normally do.

As regards to the satfinder software you talk about what is the link that one can download it from? and when you said 'on my system' what do you mean? is it on your computer system? or on your satellite receiver system? If it is on your receiver where and how do you install it? and how do you operate it?. and if it is on your computer how do you use it.
I am using strong receiver 4661x which has obviously usb port.

I went thru your question again, it looks like you like need info from the last record.
If you have a table like this TableA(ID Autoincrement, Col1, Col2, )
you can try something like this:
select * from TableA where ID in (select max(ID) from TableA)


This should give you the last record if ID is auto increment or you have serialised it somehow.

Hi all thanks for your respond to my question. @Nairalanda, you right i need info from last record of my fouth table (i.e accountstate table). but i dont want use ID as my search condition because i dont have ID on the table. In my table consist of only five columns which are (Balance_Date, Total_Contribution, Total_Loan_Out, Total_Loan_Refund & Account_Balance), that's why I use LAST(Account_Balance) thinking that LAST is a function in Mysql. Hi all, pls supposing i have a table that store some data at mysql side, if for example i have input some info that update the table to about more than 100 row, and i want perform a search of the last row and display the info on datagrid on my form and i want use the Last Row as the condition. How do i go about it. I use this;

Notice that I have modified the formating code for the worksheet in the ProcessExcel procedure. The change is shown in bold:

The call to ProcessExcel procedure expects two arguments - Datagrid and String.

The datagrid must contain real data for export to Microsoft Excel. It is not enough to have an empty datagrid and a command button on the client screen.

The following validation code is modified:

Thank you very much for quick resfond to my question. I have corrected the validation code and command button section where I "Call processExcel(datagrid, string)", i was able trace the problem and rectify it and code work perfectly.
Once again thank you very much for that wonderful and working CODE. But another thing is that how do insert the caption (Heading) of my datagrid on Excel sheet so that when i print the data, the heading will appear?. Because now when i printed the data the heading did not appear.

Hi Beknown Thank you very much for your quick response to my question and Mr luckyco i thanks as well. As regards to above code you sent i Coppied and paste it  on my program, and i then created command button and set it as a click event, and insert the code "Call ProcessExcel(Datagrid, String)", But when i try to RUN the program its giving me error message as compile error "Expected: (" at the end of this line code the call Process thats after the word string) the close bracket is Hilighted in blue, when i put the open bracket "(" in place of the ")" it will demand me to write something like "Number As long,Character", when i write this another error message will pop Up as "Expected: list separator" with "As" being hilighted in blue. And if i made call statement without "(Datagrid, String)", that's "Call ProcessExcel" this error message will pop Up "Argurement not optional" with the "Call ProcessExcel" being Hilighted in blue, when right click on the Hilighted potion and select "Definition" it will take me to this line of the code "Public Sub ProcessExcel(ByVal i_dgdResult As DataGrid, ByRef i_strError As String)".  So pls how do i take care of this error? and make work.

NB; When i coppy and paste that code in my program i made some modification in order for the code to suit into the definition of my program, like "i_dgdResult" i changed it  to dtgpayloan which is the name i gave to the datagrid in my program and some other little changes which i known are necessary in order to make my program in consunance with your code.

My question is on DataGrid, though i have seen on page 7 and 8 of this thread you have respond to something close to this (i.e MSHFlexgrid) but mine is how to export data displayed  on DataGrid to Excel using vb6. I know how to display the data from the tables of my database into the Datagrid. am not at your end to enable me get exactly what you want me do. Yes u sent a demo for me but I have given u solution, even sent you code that will enable you send document to your printer(s) since you dont want to use printer dialogue box. But if you think the solution is not enough then we can start afresh.


U dont need to write any code for export in crystal report. Enable the icon for that and u are done.

If you have crystal report in your system, use vb to add it and it will create a form for you embedding crystal report control viewer, get its property and play with it as u are changing the property keep running until u know their functions that will enable you export your report to any format u like.

As for the code you have send to me I have try using it on my program but when i select the printer and sent for printing, the form for printers will print itself instead of the crystal report that i want to print, that's why i send you the Demo program so that you see how it behave. But is like you did not have time to go through my demo project, because i have been expecting to see your reply in my email but i have not seen it yet, even though i have seen your respond on the forum on which you suggested that i should use window. but because i did not understand you or may be i dont know how to relate the program with window that's why i didnt respond back. Another way i am trying to go about it, is by exporting the report (crystal report) to word or excel. But my problem is, i dont know how to generate the code. So pls can you help me out, because i saw some of your previous post where you generate code for exporting msflexgrid to excel.

You guys really know how to help a brother in need, i appreciate. But right know i have to relocate the dish to another position because there is a tree obstruction at the present location of the dish. Hopely between now and weekend i will try and finish the relocation of the dish since space is not my problem, so that by weekend i will try and do the tracking(installation)of the Birds. Well, having said all that, my question to the great members of this forum is that I have a 2.6m(local made) fan dish and i am interested in tracking EuroBird1(28.5E), EutelsatW2(16E) and HotBird(13E). Pls i want know if it is possible to track these birds with this size of dish? and what are the tp's to use if possible? if not what size of dish do i require to track these birds. My location is North part of Nigeria (Niger State).

Hi Thanks for the respond, but what i want is to display the report first, then when i hit the print button the printers will come out (depending on the number of printers on the network connected to the system) as a drop down window so that i will scroll and choose the printer i desire and sent for print.

So pls i have sent the sample of my program to your email so that you can check and see how and where i placed the code(frmReport), and when you run the program you will see how the printer is being display. Hi am using seagate crystal report as my report designer. I want a situation where by if i call for print all the printers on the network should be display so that i can be able to select the printer i want and sent for printing while the program is running.
