Well so far, he is not doing very well in a 3 man midfield. With his dangerous play in that position, the only place for him may be in the hole behind the striker. He cannot continue such dangerous play in CM long-term.

I know you may say he played DM and CM at Leverkusen but this is not Bundesliga and he is no longer an academy player whose weaknesses can be overlooked.

he has not played many games in a 3-man midfield except Burnley and krasnodar, he's mostly on the flanks due to wingers getting injured and lampard not trusting hudson

I am still hopeful, but I don't see how he could change his style or personality overnight. All that jogging business and trying to do risky toros in midfield is not for me. He is becoming a big problem of Ozil proportions. People may argue he can only play in the hole behind the striker but that formation is becoming redundant in modern football. We cannot just lose tactical stability to accommodate a player who has shown nothing to make us sacrifice our tactical stability for him.

havertz is not an ozil type player because unlike ozil he can play in 3-man midfield he did with kante and mount and was brilliant before he got covid and he hasn't recovered that spark,the blame of everyone game is mostly put on him because chelsea's wingers are injured.
