He had friends/colleagues that came over to do their internship in Kano due to the lack of opportunities in the South. I think Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital were recruiting interns as at that time.

I guess you reside somewhere around SS/SE/SW(I might be wrong), because your colleagues here in the North don't have such problems. There are lots of good hospitals looking for Interns, and some of you from the South are really coming over to enrol.

The situation in the North is not as terrible as it's been painted in the media.

I reside in SS and I totally agree with u concerning in opportunities in d north. The problem I have is lack of information, I hardly get info when they advertise. Personally, I don't mind interning in the north just so I get this whole internship done n over with.

Nice thread... I specially thank God for all the testimonies and for my own that is yet to come.
I graduated march 2014, wrote my professional exam(medical lab sci) july 2014, was inducted february 2015 and since then I've been looking for internship placement. I haven't served yet because it is mandatory that we must undergo a one year internship before NYSC. Its really frustrating and depressing staying idle at home. Sometimes I cry my eyes out, but the goodnews is that I still have Faith in God. I strongly believe I shall divinely secure a hospital for my compulsory internship in this month of september and I'll come back to testify by the special grace of the Almighty God. 8
