Laptop name: HP Z book Firefly 14 G7 Problem: System not powering on - Dead Solution: Inserted charger and I detected that the DCIN section is not working at all. I then start to troubleshoot the system in order to get the problem resolved but all to no avail. After a while, I walk through the schematic and I discovered the system is using an ISL charging IC, with new generation DCIN architecture. Grabbed my multimeter and I start reading the DCIN section. During this process, I discovered that the first two mosfet get voltage but the gate is not active. I then substitute to reading the charging IC pin, instantly, I detected that the charging Volt-in pin 19 isn't working. After some examination, discovered a shorted caps replaced it and problem was solved. Magraw, the technician.
