PoliticsRe: Nigerians Now Selling Their Lands, House, Property To Feed - MC Apple Lee by Magnetic010: 6:09pm On May 08
Misterone:
Oga you got my point of view wrong. I used the word rice and beans not to denote planting rice and beans but that something positive can be done on the land to provide food on the table.
Also, your friend that sold his lexus jeep was not because he had no food to eat but most likely because of his children school fees, house rent etc. I stated this earlier.
Also, perspective matters. A lexus jeep in someone else hands may be Uber, Airport taxi, etc.
not a jeep it’s the saloon version the suv is rx…I feel like we are missing each other by just a fraction yes something positive can be done on the land but what if the person is in desperate need of money like an emergency situation-at that point cultivating on the land will not even be an option

Misterone:
These people will never stop! Putting false narratives on the net, thinking it will sway voters! Funny people 😄 No one sells land to feed! That's a big lie! Go and check what they bought after selling those land! Most likely luxury items!
People sell land to carry out positive or negative business like setting up a business, travelling abroad, paying for medical bills, paying for schools, etc but not to buy rice and beans. Farming on that land can provide the rice and beans.
While you might be right but you are neglecting a few things especially regarding farming- these is not crop you cultivate that won’t take at least 3 months to mature, so let’s assume this person is a family man with kids in secondary and tertiary school- he needs to pay schools, maybe house rent too, feed his family, also meet up to expectations from his extended and his wives family? You see how something even as absurd as that is possible.

I have a friend who sold his Lexus es350 last year, not to japa, not to start business but because things had gone bad and he isn’t they type to pick up the phone and beg anyone- Ps he is married with kids

yes 👍 if we look at our nation critically without being sentimental and without wishful optimism we all know that bringing a child into this economy is probably not the best thing to do especially if you are not financially OKAY.
Nigeria is probably one of the most dangerous place to live right now, one of he poorest nations in the world, amongst the countries with highest infant mortality, amongst the few countries still barring malaria mortality.

If not for religion that had made us willing ignorant of our realities we would think twice, thrice before having sex let alone bringing a child to this world

That means 99% of Nigerian marriages should not hold!
if you ask me, without being sentimental and looking only at the economics we have no business having so many marriages in the country or even producing the number of children we produce yearly

Flakky26:
You dont need financial capacity alone, what you need in marriage that is paramount is God's blessing over your life and marriage .....then you will attract money and othe things like peace ,happinnes ,joy and children but when there is no Blessing , financial capacity is not reliable. having financial capacity doesnt mean one is blessed. my 2cent from my 18years happily married experience. Even when you dont have plenty money but you have the blessing , the small will be enough, but without the blessing .. even plenty money self can be wahala in marriage.
only Africans think like this, nothing concern god with your marriage- everything in life is choice, actions and consequence….people in civilized countries don’t leave important life changing decisions in the hands of a spiritual being because they understand how economics work….that it worked for you doesn’t make it the case you and a few hand full are just the expection the real proof of what I’m saying is in our society; where a large number of families can’t provide even the basic necessities for their kids

TRue. On the flip side if you marry late because of money, you will retire and still have children in school. Men, any how you see it, it is not funny.
but you will still be able to train them
CareerRe: Dying On The Job by Magnetic010: 11:07am On May 08
This is why I say- don’t start a family until you are financially capable, don’t marry one wife unless you can comfortably take care of two, don’t even think of raising one child unless you have the financial capacity to raise 3.

If you are broke or middle class like me(actually fall into the first category) avoid luxury cars I.e- Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, e.tc. Don’t buy European cars basically unless you have money and are a car enthusiast

This right here is a lie from the pit of hell. If you are sensitive in your spirit, you will realize that when you started masturbating, things that ordinarily work out well for you becomes very difficult. This is a fact. Take it or leave it.
Run from Masturbation. It's a killer of destinies. Don't say you are avoiding fornication because masturbation too is part of lust. And the Bible say flee from lust. That's the only sin that affects your body physically and spiritually.
please google Sophia rain or misB nasty they made a combine amount over $100m last year from masturbation

SportsRe: Ibrahim Galadima Dies At 78 by Magnetic010: 10:21pm On Apr 19
IyaTola:
I get the point you’re trying to make—impact matters, and people in leadership should be accountable. But the conclusion feels a bit too neat for something that’s usually more complicated.

First, judging someone’s entire tenure as “nothing achieved” can be tricky. A lot of work in public roles—especially in organizations like the Nigeria Football Association—isn’t always visible or immediately measurable. Some efforts fail despite good intentions, some progress takes years to show, and sometimes leaders inherit deep structural problems they can’t fully fix in one term.

Also, people stepping out of the spotlight doesn’t always mean they’re hiding out of shame. Life after public office can be shaped by many things—fatigue, criticism, personal priorities, or even just a desire for privacy after being under constant scrutiny.

And while it’s fair to call out corruption or lack of impact, reducing everything to “he didn’t achieve anything” risks overlooking the human side: constraints, pressures, limited resources, and even small wins that didn’t make headlines.

Your broader message still holds weight though—positions of influence should be used to create value, not just personal gain. Maybe a more balanced way to frame it is:

Wherever you find yourself, aim to contribute meaningfully and leave things better than you met them—but also remember that impact isn’t always loud, obvious, or immediate, and people’s stories are rarely one-dimensional.

That way, you’re encouraging responsibility without flattening someone’s entire experience into a single judgment.
I almost didn’t want to read the entirety of your post but I managed to-the reason why I said he didn’t achieve anything is because you can hardly point to one policy change or one thing he instituted that moved Nigeria football forward.
SportsRe: Ibrahim Galadima Dies At 78 by Magnetic010: 6:00pm On Apr 19
Some days back I was discussing with a friend and we briefly touched on his time as the NFA president and why he has been anonymous since he left that post mainly because he had nothing reasonable to show that he achieved for the whole time he spent there.

Wherever you find yourself and in whatever capacity that might be, always strife to leave a lasting mark, make impact everything is not about stealing billions.

I personally know someone this same thing happened to years ago. The lady is unmarried till date and is probably in her fifties all because of a diabolic and manipulative mother who chased all her suitors away so she can keep taking care of her and her siblings.
that is just sad and terrible- why would a mother do such cruel thing to her own child

Let’s just say Iran redefined warfare!

Iran exposed the expensive military junks!
Really? You do know that Iran's leaders have been killed by those “expensive junks”- it’s a war in wars, military equipment however expensive or advanced are bound to at some point be destroyed by humans because they were built by humans.

The USA has sent foot soldiers, set bomber jets and even hit targets in Iran tell me the last time any nation dared to send their fighter jets into America air space- they might not be all that but the world still fears them and that is the simple truth.

China and Iran have really exposed the terrorists!
China and Iran? When did Iran start making electric cars?
