Even when Equatorial Guinea hosted the AFCON, then rain issue was a big problem despite the tournament holding in January self. rainy season but we hosted the world cup during the same time- we are just being unnecessarily stubborn |
Programming › Re: Why 2026 Is The Year Of The Silicon Employee: Is Your Job Ready For Agentic AI by Magnetic010: 11:31am On Feb 26 |
dogtech: Omo, you're looking at this through the lens of a Hollywood script!
The reality is that AI has no "will" or "desire" to take over anything. It is essentially a complex mirror—it cannot work without a human to give it instructions, context, and a goal. Even the most advanced Agentic AI we are seeing in 2026 is still bound by the parameters we set; it’s a tool for execution, not a being with an agenda.
The "rogue AI" trope makes for great movies, but in the real world, AI doesn't "think"—it processes. Without human input, it's just idle code. We aren't building our replacements; we are building high-speed assistants that allow us to focus on higher-level strategy while they handle the grunt work.
Do you think the risk lies in the AI itself, or in how humans We are still in 2026 na , just wait till we get to 2045 you will see everything I tell you happeneing |

Don't just react
Pause
Put your brain in gear
Use it
Human beings are the same everywhere We have terrible people everywhere, that is true but show me another nation where crime and criminals are celebrated as much as we do in Nigeria I am waiting. Another Nation where parents buy laptops for their teenage boys to go and learn fraud, another country where fraudsters are celebrated, where kidnappers have social media accounts, where prostitution is a norm. Where hypocrisy and ethnic bigotry will make u defend politician who spend billions of public funds to buy exotic cars. Please give me just one country that has all these happening at the same time, everyday, everywhere. |

dogtech: I disagree. AI exists to enhance what is achievable, not because people are tired of thinking. For example, a Fiverr freelancer could not install the phpFox script, but I used AI on Google Search, powered by the Gemini family of models to configure the entire site to work perfectly.
It took considerable mental effort and memory to provide the correct prompts, manage feedback, and troubleshoot when the system lagged due to high traffic. AI is not 'thinking for us'—it’s a powerful tool that still requires a skilled operator to get results.
AI only enhanced the outcome of your Thinking. In 2045 when they have completely taken over the world...We will remember people like you that once thought their job was to enhance our output. Every human fear has at some point been manifested...the fear of artificial intelligence going rogue will also manifest. |

dogtech: You've hit the nail on the head. We are essentially coding our own replacements. The speed at which automation is moving is scary, and if we don't find a way to stay relevant, we might just be sidelined in a world we helped create. A way to stay relevant? A.I exist because we as humans woke up and got tired of thinking, so we created something that will think for us, robots exist because we are tired of working? So our prayers are being answered. But just like that saying goes something what you want isn't exactly what you want...We are going to get it and I will be here for it. |

Politics › Re: FG Rejects US Congressmen Report On Christian Genocide by Magnetic010: 7:56pm On Feb 25 |
helinues: I like the way FG is handling Trump and USA with there ridiculous allegations.
The lobbyists senators didn't not know that we are aware about their motives. Hahaha
It's all about mining sector in Nigeria which they want to overtake from China. They did the same in Congo
Trump and USA have been bullying other president but not president Tinubu. The mexico president, she has severally campaigned against killing the top drug lord as it will lead to aftermath attack, but she was pressured by USA which made them to kill El Mencho
Imagine how the South Africa president was scrabbling when Trump accused SA of white marginalization.
That's why I believe in the leadership of president Tinubu. Every issue will be handled diplomatically But them rejecting the US Congress report isn't going to stop America from doing what ever they want to do...and don't start talking about sovereignty that has never stopped the USA from doing as they please and that will not stop them now...Just pray they do not take this case more serious than this otherwise it will be like film to everyone of us. |

Worst because they do not allow women to dress naked on the streets?
Whilst I do not support the extreme jihadist dressing imposed on women by some Muslim extremist nations I also appall the indecency promoted by some western nations all in the name of feminism and freedom.
I still believe that men and women should have moral dress codes, society should have certain moral codes and not everything should just be allowed because "we feel, that is what we want".
But on the issue of women's right to education, marital age, job opportunities I stand with the west- no one should be hindered from basic necessities of life because of their gender. |
